My experience with this salon is bad. I had been going to someone who left and then the owner recommended another woman to me. They knew I had very thin hair and the woman started using a razor on my hair when she told me to look down. I did not know she was chopping into my hair and I have suffered from it now for 7 months! I had it trimmed twice but still can see where she ruined my fine thin hair. Never go back there again!!!!! I just couldn't believe anyone would do that and the woman was in her 50s who did it and must know better than to razor cut my hair. I hated it and still do probably for about another 6 mos til I can get it the same length again. What a shame for a woman to look at herself and feel so bad as I have. Read Less

Went here with three of my girlfriends to get our nails done. We called the morning of and were able to get appointments for that day. The three men and woman who worked in the salon were so incredibly nice! Johnny was super helpful when I could not decide on a color! Definitely worth the trip if you are looking for a new salon! In the words of my grandmother: "Lori (the owner) does all of the nail work at the salon. She treats you like family. She's tuned into the people she works on, and goes above and beyond because she cares about each person. I always go there to get my nails done because of the excellent job she does, but also to see her! She was the one who, during one of my recent pedicures, noticed a mark on my leg that I hadn't seen before and said, 'You ought to have that looked at.' She really saved my life. It ended up being a rare, aggressive form of skin cancer called Merkel cell carcinoma, and if she hadn't noticed it when she did, we might not have caught it in time like we did. Lori is a very lovable person, and is so special to me." Lori, I cannot thank you enough for what you've done for my family. My grandmother is really the only maternal figure I have right now since my mother passed away, and if you hadn't noticed this lesion, who knows what could have happened. I love going to CJBrookelyn Hair & Nail Salon. The salon is very trendy with very talented stylists. Jennifer Hooper is my stylist. I love what she does with my hair & I always get compliments on the way it looks! Lori Denney, the owner, is also a great nail tech. She can do miracles with your nails. I've been going to CJ Brookelyn for years and I've always loved my hair and the service there! Jennifer does my hair and she does a phenomenal job! But all of the people there are amazing!! I have been going to seasonal nails since i was 15 years old! They are some of the greastest people i have met in my life. Always polite, shop is very clean. Tom has been updating and bringing new polishs and trends. Im very picky with my nails and tom always does and amazing job. I sometimes tend to throw some challenges at him but he never fails. Great and fun experience. I dont often go to get a manicure or a pedicure as I do not like the group settings where there are 20 people in a row getting their nail & feet done and the smell of the acrylic nails. However CJ's is different. The pedicures are private and you have individual attention. Lori the owner goes above and beyound to make your experience a great one. I have three missing tonails on one foot and no one has ever tried to put acrylic nails to replace my origional nails. She did and my toes look great with nails on them.
