I've been going to Gail for approximately 10 years and V for as long as she has been at Vanity Nails. I've never had a bad experience. They go out of their way to make your experience perfect. I consider them personal friends. They have worked with my schedule when I've had to adjust appointments. This location has the best deal for basic mani/pedi ($35) that I have seen in Mboro so far. If anyone knows of a better deal let me know. Salon itself is pretty clean, staff seemed nice enough and they weren't pushy like at some other salons I've been to. Atmosphere was relaxing . Great selection of nail polish colors. Quality of the services were adequate and I did really like the scrub they used on my feet and legs. I'm guessing had I bumped up to the next level mani/pedi they would have taken a little more care with shaping of my nails but we will find out for sure next time and try the next level. Don't waste your time, this is by far the worst manicure and pedicure I have ever received. She must run the shop, and did not want to do the pedicure.. I was done in 15 min.. She massage one leg but not other.. Didn't want to polish my nails because they were to short.. Buffed them and said the polish would not stay... My needs may be a little different than most. I work for a living, so I don't have a lot of time to sit in a nail salon for service. These ladies are fast and good at what they do. I have NEVER had a poor experience with them. At this point, they are like family. They know me and my family and pretty much know what I want when I walk in the door. The space is always clean. In fact, they take extra care to clean each station after a service before starting on someone else. I continue to go back because the service is consistent. I even followed them when I moved. I have been going to this salon for over 5 years. I have always found their services to be more than satisfactory with excellent prices. The staff has always been very friendly and attentive to my needs. I have been to other salons in town in a pinch, but I am never as satisfied as I am with Gail and Vi. I do like going to this salon but I have seen this type of treatment before. I have seen the "Hair girl" doing nails. I am in school at Paul Mitchell in Murfreesboro and its not often you find someone that does both hair and nails. It would be interesting to see if the Hair girl has a license to do nails. I was in there one day with a friend of mine and the hair girl was giving my friend a pedicure. She was telling us her life story about how her husband had just had surgery and how he was a big baby and how she hated her mother in law. Vanity Nails is a very clean and enjoyable place to get quality manicures and pedicures! I wouldn't go anywhere else! My nails always look professionally done and I get compliments regularly.... that makes me feel great! The salon is furnished with nice wood floors, oversized pedicure chairs, and flat screen TV's. Do not waste your time or your money! I purchased a Groupon to get a shellac manicure here- I have had them before at my usual place and they were great so I thought "great a discount!" I should have known better.. When I was sat down I was told a few minutes later that i needed to move bc I was at someone else's station. Ok, sure. I was already given a bottle of nail polish remover to remove my polish myself so I hoping it would get better. I should have left. Then the woman that was doing my nails was more interested in her cell phone than what she was doing.. Yes I needed my nails slightly trimmed to even them up- I had been very careful about my nails growing out bc I am attending a valentine's wedding and I wanted them to look as nice as possible. As the girl continued to check her text messages she cut my nails off. She cut them all the way down. She filed the tops of my nails- I have had them buffed before to take any ridges out but she actually filed them. I do not ever get fake nails because I hate the damage it does to my nails so I was annoyed that she did this to my nails. She then asked me to move again and go wash my hands. After I washed my hands I noticed that all of my nails had jagged edges and she had cut one completely crooked. I showed this to her and she said it was like that when I came in..... I use and see my hands all the time, I would have noticed If my nails where crooked. After she filed my nails for the second time there were still very jagged edges and I pointed these out as well. She told me It was hard for her to file my nails bc I wasn't relaxed....Really? you are going to blame me bc you don't know what you are doing? A women that was at the next station sent The girl doing my nails to someone else so that she could do their HAIR. If this girl usually does hair like she does nails God help that poor woman. The New lady painted my nails but at this point I was so irritated I just wanted to leave- After her turn- I have shellac on my fingers, My fingernails are not entirely painted (there is a lovely gap from where my polish ends and my nailbed begins that looks like I have about a weeks growth from when I got my nails done.) I am contacting groupon at after I finish this bc this was one of the worst manicures I have ever had. If I hadn't already paid for it through groupon I wouldn't have paid for it at the salon.
