Always nervous to try somewhere new. But all my friends stylist were books so I went to yelp... wanting to find who had the best starts and the most recent reviews. Yelp did not fail me in directing me to Bliss! Everyone was so nice and I had a wonderful mimosa to start. My stylist that day was Amanda and I must say I was extremely relieved when she not only listen to me and what I wanted but had an in depth conversation about it. And not only before we started but at every next step to ensure she understood what I was wanting. This made me very happy being I was already nervous with someone new but also the fact that it's hard to tell someone else what the picture in your head looks like lol Needless to say I will go back and I would recommend them to anyone. If I could give this salon 10 stars I would. This was my first time at this salon and it was fabulous! I was greeted by a very nice lady who offered me a drink and was then introduced to my stylist, Scotlynne. She is the nicest, down to earth stylist I have ever met. She listened to me and paid attention to the details. Not to mention, this was the best haircut I have had in years. Growing up in Nashville, I have been to several pretentious salons downtown and west end. This place is so much better. You can tell the owner, Kevin, really puts a lot of care into this salon. Ashley cut and colored my hair and did a fantastic job! She used really high quality products on my hair and now it is so shiny and healthy! Kevin was so welcoming and even provided refreshments!!! While I was there I got my eyebrows done using a different technique than I was used to. The hard wax made a huge difference on my skin and didn't burn the area around my eyes not did it leave my eyes red. The overall treatment and experience was BLISSfull and I truly felt so welcome! Rachel at Bliss Salon and Blowout Bar is a hair goddess! I came in with dark and brassy brown hair, and she transformed me into a blonde balayage beauty. She was incredibly knowledgeable about hair processing, and she talked me through all the details of what she was doing. It's easy to see she's experienced with coloring, and for that reason she wasn't afraid of the big transformation I was asking for. I have had traumatizing hair experiences before, so was a little nervous about a big change like brown - blonde in one sitting, but Rachel put me at ease, and truly delivered! She's an artist! Stacy is wonderful! She can handle my curly hair like no one else. She's a great listener and pays attention to detail. She is such a professional and I am so lucky to have found her! I drive from west Nashville, where there are tons of salons, out to Mt. Juliet for her services. She's THAT good. I highly recommend her to anyone, especially those with curly hair. Followed Ashley to Bliss' new location. A little tricky to find the first time but no problem, really. Cute place with friendly staff. Love their booths made with roughsawed wood. Went to the same 'love them, but totally pretentious' downtown Nashville salon for the last 15 years til I moved to the sticks... After neglecting my hair for a bit too long I hit the internet in search of a new hair home. Ran across great reviews for Bliss so gave it a go. Couldn't be happier. Very similar feel and obvious attention to detail, same quality without the pretentious price. Tiffany Sommer gave my typically long straight mop an actual style without feeling like I lost all my length. Like I can let it air dry and do nothing and it still looks cool style...  and the owner's rates are affordable enough that you could splurge every once in awhile without feeling like you've broken the bank.  Bonus.  I'd call this one a 'totally recommend'.
