I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. First, the ventilation is extremely poor so it smells very strong inside. I had a headache from the chemicals. And the service was very subpar with expensive prices. My nails were not polished nor filed well and the pedicure was horrible. I am so glad that I found this nail shop. It was very convenient to schedule an appointment online. Ashley did my pedicure and overlay. This is the third nail shop that I have tried since I moved here from Chicago. Ashley did a wonderful job. My nails were looking pretty bad from the last nail shop that I went too. The shop was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. I was offered a mimosa, but unfortunately could not endulge in one. All of the girls who worked at the shop were very nice and welcoming. Last week I scheduled a pedicure appointment for my mother. Those that know my mom, know that she is very reserved. Upon arrival , she was greeted, and directed to choose the color of her choice. The salon was filled with soothing music, a pleasant scent and eclectic decor. As I looked over at mom, I noticed that she was enjoying her visit. I was so relieved. I am not one to do the nail or hair salon thing, but I must say that Polish Girl made a believer out of me! I tried the Jelly Pedi and I'm hooked! The complimentary Mimosa was a special added touch and the ambience was clean, simple chic, and inviting. Appointments are the best option for a great experience here. This was my third visit and it was also my last. In my first visit, I was very pleased with the services and nail techinician. On my second visit (after booking an appointment online) someone else did my manicure and the person that I originally booked with did my pedicure. It would not have been a big deal if the manicure was good, but it was not.I decided to book again thinking that maybe on that one occasion the nail technician that I requested was overbooked. Well, it happened again. In fact, the person that I booked with did not complete any of my services. The young lady that was asked to complete my manicure did not want to and made it apparent. Two different people completed my pedicure. I don't really see the point of booking with a specific person for services if you will more than likely be handed off to other people. Now that it has happened a second time, I now realize that this may be the norm and not the exception. And after all of that, waiting 30 minutes pass my appointment time and  being passed off from person to person who didn't seem too eager to help, I was charged full price with just a sorry for the inconvenience.The shop has potential but very unorganized and good customer service is lacking. My cousin and I took our daughters ( ages 9,12, and 13) to get manicures and pedicures. We really enjoyed ourselves. The customer service was wonderful. We didn't want to leave. We had just met these young ladies. They made us feel like we've been knowing them for years. They all had pleasant and professional attitudes. This is an awesome new place to get nails done! Prices are decent, everything is new and clean, they have mimosas, and the staff are great! Amy did my nails and she told the funniest stories and made me feel so welcome. OPI and Essie nail polishes, with a wide variety. Wish they had massaging chairs for pedicures though! I went here for the first time with my sister yesterday and the only reason I'm giving two stars is because my technician Erica was so sweet and did a wonderful job! If I ever do go back it's only because she is great! My sister booked a late appointment for us and she made sure she went first and then I went because I was bringing my daughter along with me for this trip. She's 11 months old and usually doesn't go to the nail shop with me, but in this instance my sister was going to keep her for me while I got my nails done. It was after 7 and the only people that was there was me, my sister, and one other client. When the other technician, Amy, came out she asked me for my name, and if I had ever been there, I told her no. Immediately following she told me that their policy was no children and that next time not to bring my child with me. While I can understand the purpose of not bringing children to the nail shop for safety reasons and for the fact for most people that's a very relaxing experience, my child was not disruptive, running around, or doing anything that she shouldn't have been doing. She cried out once for a bottle and beyond that she was perfectly fine. Amy was very rude for how she approached me and being that she wasn't servicing me she should have left that up to the technician who had built a rapport with me to say. At that time I had my sister go ahead and leave with my daughter. To my knowledge Amy isn't apart of management so in my opinion she had no right or reason to address me. She's also not a very good teammate because it was after 8:30 when I finished getting my nails done and she left her co worker there by herself to close up. I stayed behind to make sure she got out safely but as a client that's no my responsibility, Amy should worry more about her teammates safety than what I do with my child. I also know that children are allowed because they offer manicures for children ages 5-11. If she felt that strongly about my child being there she should have stated that when I first walked in and sat down, not after I had already been there and was almost finished. They also should put up a sign for future reference so moms like me, who want a quick manicure and who also have a sitter there with the child, know that they aren't allowed. Read Less

I feel like one star is actually being a bit generous, as I didn't actually ever step past the lobby. We came into this shop, on my wedding day, for the bridal party to get a mani/pedi. A bridesmaid had called a week before and was told that appointments were not needed. Not only were we rebuffed, but with an extreme attitude. She offered no apologies or condolences, or congratulations. At least a sorry for the miscommunication would have been nice, but we were only met with an unkind good riddance. So up the street we went to Nina's Nails where they did a fabulous job for a smaller fee. I live right down the street from Polish Girl and could have been a regular, but I will never recommend anyone visiting them strictly from a customer service standpoint at the very least. Read Less

I found Polish Girl over three years ago via Groupon and I haven't strayed since! These ladies do an excellent job and the atmosphere is fun without being loud or overbearing. Summer is my all time favorite nail tech but they're all amazing! This place is one of the many things I'm going to miss about my hometown!
