I have been going to nails and wax for years but I have never had an experience like I did when Ethan did my nails. It was horrible. He literally told me everything I wanted was going to look bad. This is the best nail salon around - hands down! They're always respectful, professional, and the best at what they do. My experience has always been top notch and I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. I've tried other nail salons that were recommended and ended up with broken nails and awful customer service. Dianna did an excellent job on my gel manicure! She was friendly and efficient! I would definitely go back to her. $30 for a gel mani which is the same as several other places I called in Maryville. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the first guy I was put with had a very hateful attitude. He spoke very little English so he had to communicate through the owner then got very frustrated with me when I told him he wasn't shaping my nails right after 2 attempts. Both times they were crooked and jagged. I'm sorry but I'm not going to settle for less than what I want just to keep you from getting mad. The owner kindly asked what the problem was and then switched me to Dianna. Apparently his guy is known for having an attitude problem. My daughter had Michael and he did a wonderful job as well. The best way to describe our experience is poor. My husband and I both went for pedicures due to need for clipping and exfoliating. Both of these needs were barely met. I was in pain through most of my time and had to stop him several times to get him to be more gentle. My husband ended up with a blister or raw spot where the lady he had rubbed on the same spot too long. I would give zero stars if I could. Walked in waited a little over 35 minutes to be seen. I didn't mind since I didn't have an appointment. The guy who did my nails managed to file so deep into the side of almost everyone of my nails til they were bleeding noticably after I washed them. First time visiting this salon, and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to get an appointment for a manicure same day. Upon arrival I was asked what I was looking for, and after telling them just a regular manicure I was repeatedly pressured by three different staff members to switch from a regular manicure to a gel manicure - even being told my "regular" manicure would only last three days and gel would last three weeks. I stuck to my original request, and my manicurist was doing a great job until a piece of lint from the towel got into my nail polish. She told me it wouldn't show up, and got extremely snippy with me when I requested the nail be fixed. Pros - My manicure lasted almost two weeks which was well over the three days they told me originally. It really looked great too. They had a large selection of polishes in a lot of major brands. And the salon was clean and nicely decorated. Cons - I do NOT appreciate being pressured so much! I understand up selling is key in any business but it was way over the top. I didn't like having to be the one to push to get my nail fixed. I really wish she would've wanted to make it right when I pointed it out. And lastly, I wish they would've asked me to pay before they painted my nails as it was really hard to attempt to pay and not mess up my fresh nails. In the end, I would love to return based on quality alone, but the staff's behavior has made up my mind. I'll be looking elsewhere in the hopes of a new salon with nicer staff and great quality. I have been going there a while now and have always had and witnessed wonderful service everytime... I have refered several of my friends and travel from Loudon to Nails and Wax to get my nails done instead of going somewhere locally because they are so great. I have had my eyebrows done as well and absolutely love them. Tommy and all of the girls are great and the atmosphere is wonderful as well... I have had to wait for a while to be seen but it is so worth any kind of wait they have there. Of course it is best to set up appointments but they do take walk ins as well. Read Less

The workers are wonderful and the atmosphere is calming and peaceful. I noticed my friends nails and how she has had a full acrylic set on for a month and nothing was chipping, fading, or falling off! She works with dogs everyday so I know she is hard on her nails. She recommended this place and I decided to try Nails and Wax out and I LOVE IT! My nails have lasted a long time and will be headed there soon for a fill in.
