I came here for years, very loyally, but every time I've been back within the last 6 months, they care less and less about their customers. Their once enjoyable 50 minute (over $50) herbal pedicure has turned into a 15 minute rush to move on to the next customer. Have had dip/powder nails done twice here. Each time they popped off within a week. The second time it happened I went back to show them, in hopes they would fix it (because in the past my powder nails lasted @3 weeks). They looked at my nails and told me the nails would pop off if I kept pressing on the top part of the nail. They then told me to take a number and one of the nail techs would take a look. Safety Nails Spa was the top notch nail salon in Lakeland. The best staffs. I feel like I am being done nails at home. They have always remembered my name and the exact services I got. I was super nervous the first time I went to Safety Nails Spa because I was not really sure what to expect. However, It was very wonderful! The owner was super cool and makes it a point to get to know everyone personally and makes you feel right at home even when they are super busy. He knew what he was doing, friendly, talked and kept a conversation going. The employees worked at a good pace and did an amazing job. The place is very very clean and is really nice inside. I have been going to this salon for over a year. The woman that normally schedules the appointments is out. I called to make an appointment and I scheduled. The same person called right back saying that she was already booked, and I would have to schedule with someone else. I called back because I really didn't want to schedule with anyone else. The OWNER answered the phone while I was trying to reschedule, and tells me to "MAKE UP MY MIND." He has always been very standoffish and seemed to have an attitude. I will NEVER give them another dime of money. Thoughout the year, the quality of the salon has gone down, but my mom and I really like the people that do our nails. A lot of the staff has left, and I see why. No on is going to deal with his ignorance and arrogance. If you want to deal with a rude owner, than this is the salon for you. If you want friends  to have pedicures together.  Then don't come to this place.  Made appointment for all is of us to get pedicures together but of course that didn't happen.  Waited 30 minutes after appointment time for each of us to be setup separately   Even placed one person in our party in separate area.   They got busy and then rushed through our pedicures.   Waited longer than the pedicure actually Been coming here for a few years and won't be back.  They criticize your feet and the color you pick out.  Question is if they don't like the color then why do they have it in their shop.  They do not value customer service.  All about making money. Please check out the picture of my foot I included above. I wanted to treat myself to a pedicure today and instead I got to go to the doctor. The technician was talking away to the technician next to him and scrubbed away layers of skin!!  All I could think was "how many people do they use those pumice stones on!"  My doctor was worried about that too!!! I wanted to be really pleased with this salon! But......they are less than stellar in my book!! Maybe, it's the type of manicure that I want done?? I ask for a gel mani with French Tip. I have been twice trying to give them a better review, but, I still feel the same as the first visit. Both times I have gotten a guy. They both painted the "tip" and then go back with a q-tip and take most of it off??! They even leave a little of the "white" part of your finger nail tip visible!! I have mentioned this to both & the both say that is the way it is done. Also, seriously, french tip is very little polish and they want to charge extra. I feel like it's price gouging!! They advertise $10 color change. Well, that is $10 for regular "nail" polish application. Then they want to add another $10 for gel polish. THEN, they want to add another $5.00 for French Tip. No where on the signs does it say that. So, you go from $10 color change to $25. They also have UV lamps for the drying. This is very controversial to our health. UV rays are what causes skin cancer!! I'm looking for another salon!! Read Less

There aren't many things that you look for in one of these quick service, walk in salons, but this place had them all. The salon was clean, the technicians were efficient and did their jobs well, the prices were reasonable, and they had a huge selection of gel colors. Really, the most choices I've seen anywhere. I didn't have to wait, but that's probably because I went during an off-time. They did stay busy, though, which was good-you hate to feel like you're the only one who goes to one of these places.I'll definitely be back. Read Less

Reasonable prices, excellent staff.  I really don't have any background to compare it to, but I enjoy it. They seem to be very careful about sanitation etc.  I always make an appointment, but it appears you can normally get in quickly without an appointment. Read Less
