But seriously Salon Visage is a place that fosters great talent and that talent then stays with them. There is nothing worse than falling in love with one stylist and they are gone the next time you come in. Tara Bruce has been doing my color for almost 10 years. (Yes you should ask for her but don't make her too busy so she doesn't have time for ME). But - there is always a 'but' - it's not a relaxing experience. They pack you in much like aging blonde cattle. With repetitive droning music thumping through the speakers and everyone trying to scream over each other, the dryers and the chatter. And god forbid you book on a Saturday.... It's an absolute zoo. I usually skip the blowout to find peace. Really they should measure the decibels of the noise... they try to obtain serenity in the any way I wouldn't go anywhere else as long as Tara is there. Oh yes if you get a cut with your color be ready to shell out about $250. Beauty is NOT cheap. Oh and also - they won't return electric products that they sell even with a receipt, even within 15 days. Not at all. I bought a twisting curling iron for $65 that whistled even when it wasn't on. It took me about 4 days to figure out and then I tried to return it. But no go. That to me is bad business. Read Less

I’ve gotten my hair colored by Tara and cut by Cara twice now. They do a phenomenal job with my hair and I just love talking to them both. I’m super awkward and anxious in busy places, but they made me feel at home and welcome. My face hurt from smiling so much because they are both so funny. Don't bother making an appointment here if you're a new client. I had a friend refer me to Adrienne and both of the appointments I made and showed up for were booked on the wrong dates, and both times nobody had open slots to provide the services needed. I scheduled other things I had to do around getting my hair done so it threw a wrench in everything. My services were all great. I got the international package. My boyfriend got me a gift card as a graduation gift and I waited six months for the right time to use it. Day of my appointment, I get a call at 8 am saying that all of my appointments had to be rescheduled. They were able to be rescheduled for the same day, but 4 hours earlier. I had to rearrange my schedule for the entire day. When I suggested that they discount the package since they had to make such a significant change so suddenly, they basically said too bad. Again, my mani, pedi, and massage were all great, but that's not how you do good business. Take care of your customers when you screw up. I'll go elsewhere next time. Read Less

This was my first time here and I made an appointment today with Chris and she did not disappoint. She has over 20 years experience and it shows. After a brief description and showing her pictures, She knew exactly what I wanted. She was a pleasure to chat with yet very professional. I also had a color consultation and got an appointment that same day. Her name was Kerri and she was awesome as well. They both took the time to understand what I wanted, they also guided me through the process seamlessly and told me what to expect through the appointment. The communication was excellent. This is the best salon I have ever been to...bar none!! The salon is beautiful, very well run, staff is professional and friendly and a pleasure to visit. George, the professional colorist is excellent!! He listens to what you want and does a beautiful job of coloring. The entire staff were so friendly and helpful. Jessica consulted with me regarding my hair color. We discussed my eye color and skin coloring. I felt so comfortable that I ask Jessica to do what she thought was best. And she did!!! My hair looks great. The color is perfect for me. I'm what you might call a ""late bloomer."" I didn't really get in to going to a salon until I had graduated college and was entering graduate school. With a desire to reinvent myself and the help a super-chic friend, I made my way to an Aveda salon. I was spoiled by the treatment I received and how professional all the employees were. When I moved to Knoxville, the first thing I did was find another Aveda salon. I first went to the West Town Mall. Well, I was not impressed with the employees or the services especially at their cost, so I did not return. I went almost two years before I tried another Aveda salon again. I went a few times, but it just never felt right. It seemed that every time I went in, they couldn't find my information or the way it was cut the last time, despite the fact that the same woman cut my hair each time! Needless to say, I was disappointed especially after having had such remarkable Aveda service before. My husband gave me a gift certificate for spa services this Easter, so I set my appointment for a massage with Spa Visage. The massage was great, and I'd recommend Brennan to anyone! I wanted to get my hair done also, and my Aveda stylist was booked, so I went out on a limb and scheduled services with Salon Visage. Let me tell you, the first experience was fantastic. This salon has everything you expect and then some. I went in desperately needing some pampering, and after the massage, I didn't think it could get much better, but it totally did! First, I met with my stylist, Taylor, for a consultation. I brought in a picture of something I liked, and Taylor took those elements and gave me a stylish cut that has done wonders for my appearance. It takes a lot of guts to let someone you just met cut 9 inches off your hair, but Taylor was incredibly professional with her consultation, and the confidence she had in her ability to turn my frumpy locks into a fantastic coif was exactly what I needed to trust her. I also met with Dylan for color, and this was the best color I've ever had, hands down. I've also received many compliments on my color from other colorists. Since my first visit, I've been back a second time over last weekend, and I can definitely see myself becoming a 6-week regular. For the woman who wants to stay stylish on a budget, I will say that I live VERY frugally, and I can still afford to come in for a cut and color every 6 weeks. At other salons, I've felt like the stylists were part-time car salesmen with how hard they pushed complicated products. Well, the professionals at Salon Visage only recommend products they are actually using on your hair, and they take the time to show you how to use them. The products at Salon Visage are competitively priced, but they're simple, which is what I love most. I was surprised & pleased they sold these products because I have used them for nearly eleven years & had just thought to myself I need a summertime look.
