Absolute worst experience of my entire life. I went in to get a full set out on and right out of the gate it went down hill, he put the glue and nail tip on then tried to rip it off ripping off my skin! I have a high threshold for pain but I wasn’t expecting that and literally jumped and let out a scream. Then I asked for almond shaped nails and he tells me he is going to charge me ten extra dollars for it, after ripping off my skin. As he started to shape them it seemed as if he was shaping them more as a stiletto shape vs almond so I had to get out my phone and show him a picture of what I wanted. As it continued every time he touched my nail (that he ripped the skin off of) I would flinch due to the pain. Upon leaving, my hands are messing the shapes aren’t even and I have a big glob of gel paint on one of my fingers, he reached over to try and rip that off too, but I told him not to touch it because I didn’t want flesh ripping off my skin again, so then he proceeds to saturate a cotton ball and tells me to press it on my finger, then acetone spills on my lululemon pants! I repeated myself and told him I would take care of it later! Just awful and all this for 65 bucks!!! Never have I ever had this terrible of an experience! I will not be going back there....ever! I am writing this review to counter what was said regarding the bridal party that came in on 6.14.18. I was there the whole time and watched the whole situation unfold. First off I have been going to Tina's since 2003. She is by far the most outstanding nail tech I have ever had do my nails, and I have been to SEVERAL. Her staff are on point and that is cause she runs a tight ship which rightfully so. She wants her customers to be treated fair, with respect, and with great quality. ALL of which happens everyday! Now back to the situation with the SNOWFLAKES!!! First, they made their appt. 3 days prior for a party of 10 I believe. At the time of their booking (3 days prior) they were informed that not all of them would be worked on at the same time due to it being such short notice and there not being enough techs scheduled. The MOB said that was fine and that they could wait. Second, they only booked time for pedicures, at which point, upon arrival decided to add in manicures, SNS, and gel. All of which, speaking from experience, takes a lot longer which then takes that tech away from helping the next SNOWFLAKE in line. Third, not one of them mentioned to their nail tech or the receptionist about them all having to have the same color. IF that were the case the girl that was finished 1st should've stopped the tech at the time she was having her toes painted and said "I'm sorry but that is the wrong color" and might I mention on a side note that the TECHS DON'T EVER PICK OUT THE COLOR!!!! So that is a failure on the SNOWFLAKES part. Once the LEAD SNOWFLAKE (bride) examined, after she had been already pacing back and forth watching like a hawk, the work being done not saying a word, she decides she doesn't like the color her friend picked she made her change the color, at which point would cost her. Anytime there is a polish change there is a charge and rightfully so considering its taking the tech to redo something that wasn't necessary. I mean why does it matter if EVERY SNOWFLAKE is matching exactly? Are they planning on taking pics of just their feet and hands? Fourth, the receptionist did her job in a very nice but confident way letting them know everything that they needed to know. It isn't her fault that not one of them mentioned they all wanted the SAME color. Not only that if that were the case why didn't the LEAD SNOWFLAKE make the appt instead of asking her mother, and letting Tina's know that they all needed to be matching. What if there wasn't enough of the color to put on all of them? BE PREPARED SNOWFLAKES BE PREPARED!!!! Fifth, there was absolutely no YELLING involved. I guess talking to someone in a normal tone to these SNOWFLAKES is considered yelling cause heaven forbid they are talked to in anything above a whisper. Anyway, enough about them, the point is Tina's is a very well known and sought after nail salon not only in Hendersonville, but the Nashville area. They do exceptional work and Tina is not going to let her staff do half a half ass job. IF that were the case she wouldn't be the successful person she is. Also, make sure when you go, not only Tina's but anywhere, you know what you want done and you COMMUNICATE that to the tech. It's not hard people! Read Less

Update: the owner pulled my friend and tried to make amends, thinking she was the one that wrote the review. She said she didn’t think they deserved one star, so I’m going to go ahead and leave a second because she made an effort. Of course, I was overcharged and refunded - but that falls back on the insanely rude receptionist. She ignored me when I said that I didn’t want a traditional manicure and then charged me for it. When I asked her which receipt she was giving me, she crumpled it up. Tina, you’re doing a great job- but that girl has got to go if you want a real impression of a great salon when customers walk in the door. We made an appointment for our bridal party months in advance. We even called to confirm. That preface makes for a confusing one star review. Our appointment was at 2. My pedicure started at 3. The bride’s started at 3:30. We explained to the (incredibly rude, but we’ll get to that later) receptionist that ALL of the girls except the MOB needed the same color. Sounds simple, right? We wanted the same color on our toes and a few of us had more expensive manicures scheduled as well- but all needed the same color. The first bridesmaid was finished an hour before the bride had even started. Wrong color. Not like oh we didn’t like the shade but seriously orange instead of a light pink. Charged her $12 to change the color to the correct one. The owner argued with the bride because it wasn’t the tech’s fault. Well, we know that. We’re not a group of hard to please can I speak to the manager and get free things girls, but of course that’s how we were treated from the beginning. The incredibly rude receptionist, paired with a less rude but also sort of insufferable one, yelled at the bride, asked us three times what color we wanted, and was caught openly complaining about our group. I have more, but I’ve bored you with enough details at this point. Just know that the floor was wet, the services were very late and then very rushed, and the pedicure in general was underwhelming. I’m glad there’s a hiring sign in the window, but Tina’s might want to consider getting their broken and “leaky” chairs fixed before another patron soaks their purse when they put it on the floor. To thick, my actual nail showing through color, and bubbles on all my nails!” So upset because I spent 50 dollars on my nail, Tina has done my nails before,” and did great job but her employee Kevin just needs to stay doing pedicure! I had been going to the nail salon located in Walmart since I had moved to Hendersonville, however wanted to try somewhere new. I stopped in at Tina's Salon because it was close by. Right off the bat they were much higher priced then I had ever paid anywhere but I thought I would splurge for once. Wait time was minimal, staff was nice and very entertaining & nails looked beautiful however within a week my nails starting coming off one by one within a couple weeks or so all of my nails had been off and I had to glue them back on. Never again will I pay $55 for nails that come off so easily. Can't imagine if I had been someone that had my hands in water frequently! Read Less

Thao and Saem are amazing. I've been shopping for a new nail salon all year. Tina's north was quiet, clean, the staff is fun and charming. It's brutal to spend $90 on a gel mani and pedi only to hate it- but these ladies were meticulous and really delivered a great experience. Nail shaping was the best I've seen in 15 years in Nashville. They have an excellent color selection, the massage chairs are top of the line, and the wine wasn't bad. I'd definitely recommend a trip to Hendersonville for some pampering. Read Less

This was my second time to go to the salon and I have never been treated so poorly at a nail salon. They took me back to start my pedicure, where I waited for 20 minutes with no water. I then asked how much longer and they another 10 minutes before someone could see me. I had somewhere to be and since I had wasted so much time waiting I wasn't able to stay. I understand if I had to wait but I was never told I would have to wait and employees kept looking away from me as they walked by. I've had okay experiences before but my last one was with Kevin who gave me the worst pedicure I've ever received. He was extremely rough, rude, and Aloof. When he went to do the design on the toe, he did nothing but stick a bunch of bedazzler gems all over it. It was ridiculous and when I asked for him to just forget it and just do plain polish, he gave me major attitude and still charged me for the design. Went in last night to get a full set put on. I got there around 5 and was told it would be about 45 min. Wendy started on my nails at about 6, but they were slammed when I got there. I hadn't been here before as I live in White House and usually go somewhere closer to home, but I had a giftcard I needed to use. Normally I get stuck with a nail tech that doesn't really talk to you, does a quick job and pushes you out the door. That wasnt the case with Wendy. She took her time ...on my nails and they look exactly how I wanted them to look. Wendy and I chatted about our children and how we met our husbands and instantly changed that awkward feeling to a relaxed and comfortable feeling. Then the jokes started rolling out... You could tell how close the workers are here at Tina's and that made for a very fun and relaxing environment. They had me laughing with their forehead jokes and McDonald's diet . Giving this place a one since I am unable to rate it a zero. I am here visiting my sister from Orlando and stopped in to get a gel mani/pedi. Miss personality Chelsea was at the front desk. Perhaps the rudest person I have ever met. Definitely should not be greeting customers as they walk in. My nail tech Kevin kept leaving me for 10 minutes at a time. I literally could have been out of there 30 minutes earlier if he had just done his job. In addition, it felt like 5-year old girl was massaging me rather than a grown man. Although I was unhappy with my pedicure and expect it to chip at any minute, I tipped him $10. My cuticles look like crap on both my fingers and toes. Also, he files the gel manicure after he applies polish. We all know that causes early chipping. Not sure how they come up with their pricing. When I told Chelsea I wanted a regular pedicure she seemed unsure that she would even allow that. In Orlando the same services cost $50. I paid $68 at this place. What a ripoff. Read Less

Receptionist Brittany was very friendly..Kevin did my pedicure was no conversation at all..I tried to let him know exactly how I wanted my nails cut and several times he was hurting me..Not only during the process of the pedicure but while polishing my toenails the position he would raise my legs above the table to look at my nails..I explained I had back surgery and could not raise my legs.. Needless to say I left very upset and got home only to realize my pedicure and my nails were very uneven and the polish on my toes which had gel was already popping up..my heels and my toes didn't even look or feel like I had a pedicure. I called back and Brittany was very sweet..advised Tina would be calling.. I never received a call. I returned to have my pedicure redone and requesting that Someone else other than Kevin. I sat and waited for over 30 minutes and much to my surprise and disappointment Kevin was who came to do my "Pedicure" well as it goes I had to tell him I had gel in my toes he finally got it removed...put my feet in the water only to wet them and run run the little scrubber over my heels momentarily and he was done seriously.. this was problem I came to get a pedicure to begin with..no lotion in my feet either again he hurt me filing and I left 2 hours later looking worse today than I did when I came in on Friday..i will not be back after $129.00.. I'm not from this area, but I went to Tina's Nails with my mother in law. The place was very busy, but they seemed to be moving through the customers fairly quickly. We had an appointment for just a basic mani/pedi. I liked the massage chairs. They were nice and they had a lot of options. They technicians were very gentle with my mother in law's feet. She is a little persnickety and wanted her feet and polish just right. They were patient with her and took their time. When the manicure came, we had to wait about 10 minutes. Which made my mother in law a little upset, but again, they were still very kind to her. Overall it was a great experience and would come here again. Read Less

The last two times I've been in, I surely haven't received what I paid for and loved this place at one point and time. I too, am an office manager and have a lot of respect for our clients and the service they paid for. I rarely get to come get a pedicure, but when I do and pay $40 plus dollars, I'm not just paying to get my toe nails polished or I could do that at home by just taking time out of my day with a five dollar bottle of nail polish from the beauty supply house. People expect a little more. This starts with management and taking the initiative to make things better. If you have gotten so busy, just maybe you need to start telling your clients it would be better for them to book by appointment only to get better treatment. Read Less

My friend and I came here to get our nails done for her high school graduation, which was that night. When we got there, they were a little bit busy, but not too bad. The receptionist told us it would be about a 15-20 minute wait. We sat down and waited for almost an hour! My friend ended up having to leave because she had to be at the school by 1 for rehearsal. I finally got called to my table, and then I waited at least another 20 minutes for somebody to come do my nails. Not only was the wait long, but customer service was terrible! The whole time I was waiting for somebody to come do my nails, not one person said anything to me. I kept looking back and seeing that several people who came in AFTER me were already at their table getting their nails done and I STILL hadn't been seen. Tina was the one who did my nails, and she was very rude and rough on my nails. My nails are sore to the touch now. Would not recommend. Read Less

By the time they were ready to start my pedicure I had less than 30 mins before I needed to be somewhere and left without a pedicure. I typically have a very good experience. The few times I've had an issue, they've done their best to make it good. I would like to say that when I go to get a pedicure and manicure I don't want to hear from the techs about their night partying or what guy they picked up. The rudeness, inappropriateness, disregard and disrespect for the customer is unfathomable. I'm always shocked. But I keep going back because Tina and most of the female techs are really sweet. Eventually, I may have to make a change. If I'm dropping 120.00 every couple of weeks, I want some peace and respect. Now, having said that, the manager, whom I just wrote about, gave me a pedicure last week, and he was very respectful and did an outstanding job. So go figure?! I still love Tina's. I told the lady at the desk what i wanted and still had some gel to be removed. I was taken back and sat down with a menu planted in front of me. Sat there for a few minutes and another girl came and sat down to do my nails. I told her the same thing, just a basic manicure and remove the gel. She cut my nails short and hardly spoke to me. no conversation and when i went to put my hand in the water again, i was yelled at not to. So she does have a voice. Then before she put the clear coat, she said can you pay now and i have to add $10 for gel. No one mentioned it until now. That may be common but you think she would of brought it up to me in advance especially when i said it was my first time here. I had high expectations coming in to Tina's and everything probably would have turned out wonderfully if it wasn't for the receptionist. I was getting my feet and hands done so they would match, something I am very picky and serious about. So I asked the girl working if they had the blue I had picked out for my toes available for the SNS powder, she confidently told me yes and walked me to a pedicure chair. I trusted she knew what she was talking about considering she worked ...there but later on when I sat down for my nails she handed me the basket of colors and mine was not in there or one even similar. Because I had spent so much time in there already I couldn't get up and go somewhere else at this point so I had to settle for something completely different and not at all what I came in for. If she would have told me no, we don't have that shade from the start I would have tried to go with a different color or would have gone somewhere else. So, I spent 73 dollars which would have been fine but my nails don't even match and because they don't match It will drive me insane and I will end up going somewhere else and having to pay for my hands all over again. I expect the employees to know what they're talking about but because she cared so little about what colors were available that's money out of my pocket now. The nail techs are fine: all are very nice, communicate well, and do a good job. Their front desk, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Apparently they don't use clocks--their 5-10 minutes is very different than my 5-10 minutes. When they say 5-10, you can count on at least 25-30--every time! If you ask them how long the wait will be, it's always 5-10, and that can't be farther from the truth! If you schedule an appointment, the only thing that appointment does is get you seated faster to have your pedicure water be cold by the time you're finished. You're still going wait. The prices are reasonable-basic spa pedi starts at $15!!; they offer you a complimentary water or glass of wine; they took tools out of sealed, cleaned packet (surprisingly no one else had!!); no fumes or chemical smells (being pregnant this was great); on a Saturday early afternoon there was zero wait; & staff was friendly. However, whenever I call early morning for an appointment, I've been told repeatedly that she is busy until 4:00. It seemed unlikely to me that she would always be busy until 4:00. Most recently I called at 10am and was told she was booked until 11:15 or 11:30. I gave them my info and asked, "11:15 or 11:30?" He said, "11:30." I showed up at 11:20 and noticed Kim doing a pedicure, and she wasn't very far along. I said to the guy at reception, "Kim is doing a pedicure and not close to being done." He assured me she would be done at 11:30. I waited until 11:50, and he called her over to me as she was starting a manicure on the same customer. The customer she was helping was a walk-in, which meant that Kim was NOT busy until 11:30 when I called at 10. I just don't feel that, as a regular customer, I'm treated fairly and honestly. This nail spa is SUCH a hit or miss. I got my first manicure at Tina's back in August 2014. I absolutely loved the lady doing my nails. She was funny and didn't rush through. When I returned two weeks later for a fill in it was the COMPLETE opposite. Rushed through, the lady only spoke to me to tell me my total, and it was not enjoyable or relaxing. She practically seemed annoyed that I came in to get my nails done. I assumed it was just an off day possibly and continued to return a couple times. It is now January and the place still is a huge hit or miss. Today for example, I go in for a new set. Once again I get a completely different lady, but was hoping for the best. Instead, it was just another miss. Instead of soaking my nails before removing the old set she immediately started clipping them and prying them off. The pain was getting so bad that I had to jerk my hands away several times just to get her to stop and when I did she blew her breath as if I was being rude. If she had let them soak for the appropriate time my nails would have been much softer and it would not have hurt whatsoever. Rushing much? I would say so. The new set turned out great in the end but the fact that I was left with sore nails is ridiculous. People pay the money to be pampered and to feel relaxed. They don't pay money to feel like a burden to the spa. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because of the ones here that actually do care about their job and their customers. Read Less

Terrible experience on more than one occassion at Tina's. My last, and WILL BE my last experience with Tina's, involved a nail tech sanding SO intensely on 2 of my nails while applying a new pink and white set that 2 areas oozed blood underneath the nail after the nails had been applied. I ended up with dark spots which look like fungus so that I now have to wear color until they grow out. I went back and told Tina about it and all she could say was "OK". No concern or remorse that this was done at her salon. Tina had quoted me $16.00 for my fill, yet when she ran my credit card she charged me $18.00. I asked her about it and she said it was $2.00 for cut down. Who charges extra to trim your nails? While I was sitting at her station, I observed her being rude to several customers and talking about customers behind their backs. This salon appears to only be in business for the money. They try to herd so many customers in and out of there for the money with no concern for customer service or quality.At one of my visits, a customer next to me was complaining that she was injured and bleeding with her pedicure she just had. Over the past few months it has been becoming a horrible nail shop, the quality and service has been unacceptable. TINA'S HAS LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER. The last time I was there after waiting a hour and a half I was finally seated to get my nails done, then waited another 20 min to have a tech start on my nails. After her trimming down my tips TINA (in her foreign language) told the tech to start a pedicure on a customer that had just walked in the door, halfway through trimming my nails! I am a patient person so a simple apology for the inconvience would have been accepted but instead I sat there with my nails half trimmed for another 30 min until ANOTHER tech could finish the job! If you are going to run a business and keep loyal customers you must treat them with respect and I totally and completely felt as if my business was not important especially considering I am a regular almost weekly client, Tina will no longer be getting my money. I told him what the girl had quoted me and he told me that he was only willing to take my number and ""talk to his employee"" about the situation, as though this was all my fault and I was an idiot! I guess they have never heard of customer service, misleading prices, or stealing from and lying to their customers... From my experience DONT GO THERE!!!!!! I am not sure about Tina's. My impression was that it seemed alot of high schoolers go there. NOT exactly the atmosphere I am looking for. Actually, it is one I would want to avoid when trying to relax. I am thinking It may have just been the timing of when I was actually there? The receptionist was so snotty to me that I decided never to go back. I called to let them know and they sent me a gift certificate for $15.00 that I will never use. I would rather go somewhere else and pay more money than feel like I have just been treated in a poor manner. There are MANY salons out there and I will not go to one where the treatment of their customers is not an A+ from start to finish. I get pedicures on a regular basis and I do not want to have to worry about what type of ""mood"" the receptionist or staff is in today. If someone seems to be having a bad day I tend to try to smile or joke with them to lighten them up but this girl (think her name was Rachel??) was just outright rude and snotty to both myself and my fiance'. That is just unacceptable. Now, to be fair, it was over a year ago but it was enough of a turn off for me that I have not been back since. She may not even be there anymore. I have since moved on to a better salon. On the plus side, and to be fair, I felt their pedicures were fairly good. There was a wait every time I was there. I don't like that but since they take walk-ins and seem to have alof of clientele, it is to be expected. I am not sure I would ever go back to try them again. I now go to the Venetian and their prices are a tiny bit higher but definitely worth it. The pedis and manis are better and the people that work there are so much more friendly! Laura offered to apply soft gel on and did such a wonderful job that after a month I have long strong nails and new beautiful hands! To add I got the minx done on my toes. I was not sure which design to get because they had so many pretty design to choose from. I ended up with the Cheetah print. The manager of the spa, Tri, helped arranged the party and it was pleasant from start to finish. He was very attentive to our group's every needs. Our group booked two treatments (manicures and pedicures) and I also asked if we could have lunch brought in, as well as a private champagne toast for the bride-to-be. Every request was accommodated flawlessly. Tri also checked in with us throughout the day to make sure everything was okay and up to our expectations. Every staff member was friendly and smiling! As far as the spa facility, I loved the decor and ambiance. The lounge was relaxing with the sound of waterfalls and they provided a nice supply of water . The entire facility was clean and had lots of nice amenities. The pedicures was over-the-top fabulous with sea salt, fresh lemons and I especially liked the warm towel wrap to my feet at the end --- (oooh, so soothing). The manicures was great and they provided a quick neck massage with it (or you could choose a hand massage). All the girls in our party raved about the treatments. I was just back there again a week ago and they expanded their wine choices.
