I came once before a couple of years ago but my experience was alright.. my cousin told me it was under new management recently so I thought I'd give it another try and SO glad i did! Was greeted immediately right when I walked in. I got a pedicure and manicure. They use the plastic bags in their pedicure tubs which was a plus! I've been to a lot of places that do not use them. I got the deluxe pedicure which I HIGHLY recommend if you have the time- it included the wax and hot rocks and felt amazing. The lady did my dip powder and you can tell she knew what she was doing! I went in to get a jell polish and a color change for my toes and waited 30 minutes because they were busy , during that time some other customers came in and waited another 10 minutes and the lady walked up and took all of those customers (5) and left me sitting there. Even when the customers told her I was there first. I will never be back! My daughter and I went this past Sunday because it was our only time available. Early in the pedicure, we did talk polish colors for the manicure and everything seemed to go well, until they forgot we came in for manicures too. The older lady, who took care of me, completely butchered my finger nails with the manicure sanding block. When I pointed it out to her, she said it was because 'your nails tear'. She painted the jagged remnants and went on to another customer. After spending $150 for both of us (which I don't mind paying for a good job), I had to go home and take a fine file to my nails and smooth them down so they wouldn't get caught on clothing and such. Since they were done in gel, my top coat is now compromised and my polish is already starting to chip (2 days later). I am not one to make a scene in public or blow up the internet with complaints, but the 4-star rating was deceiving to me. This is the worst nail salon. My nails are crooked, jagged, thick... I got a gel manicure. To remove my old gel, the technician filed a hole through the top of my nail bed and made it bleed. This is the worst experience I have ever had at this salon. The skin around my cuticles is cut and bloody from the buffer.. I’m so disappointed with the way my nails came out. I stopped going to Crystal Nails years ago due to the owners and for the simple fact that no matter who did my nails within a week they were breaking or popping off. I heard November 2017 they were under new management so I gave them a try. So very glad that I did. I live over an hour away but work in Hendersonville and they do everything to accommodate me on my lunch hour. I have not had one nail break since November or even pop off. The staff is friendly and they are always busy when I come in. If you had a bad experience with them in the past, I really think you should give them another chance. You won't be sorry! Read Less

I'm not too sure where all these negative comments are coming from but I've been going here probably about a month or so now ( and I have been to a lot of other nail places in the Hendersonville area) and I have had nothing but good experiences. The last time I got my nails done my left ring finger nail was a little bit thicker than the other nails but other than that everything else was great. They did a really good job. Jen was thorough and gentle for my daughter's first professional pedicure. And she was willing to accommodate two colors, because my girl has to sparkle. And staff was friendly. I have been coming to crystal nails for almost 15 years, however, that will sadly change after this evening... After Christmas shopping, my daughter & I decided to get our nails done. I noticed that it was 6:30, so I thought I should call ahead, to ensure we both had time to get a mani/pedi. The gentleman who answered told me that we would have plenty of time. (Nail salon closes at 7:30) When the nail tech was almost finished with my nails, the owner’s wife came up to me & s...aid, “Next time, you need to come earlier, got that?” The previous owner’s son apologized, because he could see how rude she was being. If you go to Crystal Nails and have Sally take care of you, you won't be disappointed. She took her time while doing my mani/pedi, and paid a lot of attention to detail. It was honestly one of the best pedicures I've ever had, and it was truly a relaxing experience. I just had the worst manicure in my life for the second time in a row from the skinny older man at this place. I got the dip & had dip on. They didn't let the aluminum foil sit long enough to take off my previous dip. So there was still some left on my nails when he started put putting the new dip on... making my nails bulge in some spots. There was old dip residue all over my skin on my fingers & the guy didn't even get it off. I had to scrape it off like glue after I left. My cuticles have sores from the way he filed my nails. My cuticles are not even clean of all the skin & the dip doesn't even go all the way down to my cuticle. This is the 2nd time he has done me like this & I was so frustrated & kept expressing nicely what I thought needed fixed & he didn't do anything to fix it. Then made me pay full price ($50)!! Way over priced! I never had these issues with the old owner. The younger pretty girl was good the one time I went to her, but she was busy this time. I never do anything for myself so getting a pedicure is a real treat. Unless you go to this place. First they told me the color that I selected will cost seven dollars more to apply because it has to have a special top and bottom coat to it so then I pick a different color. The guy did a terrible job. Meanwhile he kept looking at the clock the entire time like he had somewhere to be. I told him I thought it needed another coat and he insisted it did not. He barely filed my nails or scrubbed my feet. And he left polish all over the sides. For $25 I could have done a better job myself. Don't waste your time or money here. Read Less

Terrible pedicure! For $25 you would think you could get the guy to at least shave my nails but he barely even touch them and acted like he had somewhere better to be like constantly looking at the clock and making me feel uncomfortable. Not impressed. I have been here before and really liked it hence the reason I came back only to have my nails ruined. I had acrylic fill with gel nail polish. Not only did my acrylic have dip and waves in every nail but the gel nail polish started chipping a day later now I try not to be too picky but I paid 50$ for a fill and the polish and got nothing for it I had to have a new set put on. Pretty and clean looking salon...watched them take sterilized tools from packaging before he began my pedi.  The young man giving pedi was very attentive...even offered bottle water before he began. Have to say he won me over with the best calf massage ever (my calfs are always sore). When I first arrived the older man,  probably an owner was frustrated with me because he began the removal of my gel nails and was a bit rough...when I told him to be easier with my cuticles he was somewhat irritated and padded me off to his wife, which was fine by me.  She explained or away as"some men don't know how to be gentle ". I'd rather be passed off than hurt.  A little pricey with the gel being $20 extra and another  $5 to take off my old gel...but, I knew that going in as it's on their pricing  menu. Came recently to have a gel set removed and reapplied. The owner was friendly and talkative. All in all was very satisfied with the end result. My nails looked great. I guess my issue is the price. I live in Chicago and was charged more  here than there for the same service by $10. You would say, well than don't come if it costs too much. You would be right about that. One wouldn't think Hendersonville prices would be big city prices. I was not offered a drink as others said they were. Heck, the place was nice but in a crappy strip mall. Why is cleaning up your nails , filing and trimming a separate charge? So I was charged for a gel set and full manicure separately. That's like being charged for a pedicure and a separate charge for callous removal. That's what a pedicure is!  I could care less about the massage stuff just clean things up. If I lived here I most likely wouldn't be returning and would find a place that cost at least what I am used to  paying. Read Less
