I would give this nail salon 0 stars if I could. I went into the salon just to have my powder nail polish removed, which I have had done at other nail salons in the past with no problems. At Kathy's Nails, the lady set a bowl of acetone in front of me with a cotton ball and said "Scrub." I proceeded to scrub for about 15 minutes with limited success until she came over with the electric spinner tool, which she used to get the remainder of the polish off. However she shaved down my nails until they were brittle and thin because she shaved the thickness of my nails down so much. There are blisters, scratches, and grooves on my nails from when she did this, and my nails have hurt badly since I had this done (2 days ago). See pictures below. Read Less

If I could give less I would. I should have known when the shop was empty almost the entire time I was there....this was a Saturday! The pedicure was nice but my nails were horrible. I had dip French nails done....the manicurist was very disconnected with what he was doing. I sat there for quite awhile while he was either eating , talking on his cell or who knows in the back. And he kept trying to get powder out of what was a nearly empty container. My nails had bubbles underneath...my thumb nail cracked five days in! Never again...... Read Less

Worst nail salon I have EVER been too, I would have given it zero stars if that was an option!! My mom and I went on a Thursday to get mani pedis before our spring break trip to Cancún. We picked this Kathy's location because it's wasn't very busy and it was a nice area. When we walked in we noticed they were 30 minutes from closing and attempted to left to which on of the men (owner I'm assuming) begged us to stay and said it was no problem. My nail tech hovered over me and rushed me to pic my color, and then when I sat down and turned my massage chair on he rudely told me to turn it off so it wouldn't mess him up. My cuticles were barely trimmed and my nails were not filed or cut. I received no massage, lotion, oil, or exfoliant. My mom received a bit of a better treatment but nothing compared to what we are used too. Our total was overpriced (around  180) especially for the crappy service we received. To top it off my shellac fell off three days after I got it. I would never suggest this establishment to anyone and definitely will not be returning! Read Less

This was my first visit to Kathy's in Germantown, I walked in with my 12 year old cousin.  There was only 1 other customer in the place, so we were able to be helped right away.  I got a pedicure (great massage chairs), and my cousin wanted a mani.  Since we were together they set her up in the massage chair next to mine and did her mani there- I thought this was very nice of them, as my cousin was nervous to be on her own.  The majority of my pedi was great, but the actual paint was smudged on TWO of my toes, and the tech didn't clip three of my toe nails.  Other than this it was a nice experience- friendly staff, quick service.  There wasn't any music playing at all, this isn't really a complaint since my cousin and I talked most of the time anyway, just an observation.  All in all, I don't think I'll be back.  The massage part was nice, but the main point of a pedi is to have fab-looking nails, and my toes are lacking. This is my favorite nail salon in Germantown. The atmosphere is so peaceful it almost puts me to sleep. They play very calming spa type music. They also have a tv that shows a soap opera. I love the wonderful massage chairs that you sit in for a pedicure. My favorite pedicure attendant is named Li. She gives a great calf and foot massage and she is very accurate and clean in her procedures. My favorite manicurist is Mr. Henry. He has very good english. Worst pedicure I've ever had. I don't consider myself an expert but I've had pedicures around town and out of town and this one by far was the least impressive. The salon is nice in appearance, clean, free wifi, nice selection of polish. But looking at my feet, I really feel like I only got a change in color. Start to finish was 15 minutes. I don't feel like the tech took anytime working on my feet. And she didn't. Then I was charged $30! A complete ripoff! Never again. Read Less

The staff is always upbeat and professional. They work well in squeezing me in due to my hectic schedule. It's always a relaxing experience to sit and be pampered and I have always been happy how my hair turns out. I highly recommend Salon Maison Style Bar! Read Less

I went here for the first time a couple weeks ago. One of the employees was standing outside on his cell phone. I didn't know he was an employee at the time until I went inside, where he followed me and preceded to ask me what I wanted done. While he was doing my nails, he continued to talk on his cell phone. Not to mention, seemed to do a half ____ job. All he did was file my nails and then started to apply the paint to my nails. He paid no attention to my cuticles, no massage, no engagement etc. My nails looked decent in the end but it was horrid customer service. I will never go back. Read Less
