TJ nails is a nice salon to go to. I have been there a few times. I also go to Deluxe Nails and Spa too. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 20 years and I can tell if someone can do their job. I cannot believe someone would call out a person's "name" because they didn't like their service. As my mom always told me, "Even you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all"! Love getting my nails done at TJ Nails in Franklin. I have tried several places in the area but I have always been happy there. I get acrylic nails with gel polish and now I have my favorite nail tech. She is awesome. She listens to what I want and she doesn't rush. I think her name is spelled Kissa or Kisha. Called and made an appointment. When I arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time, was told to pick a color, which took a minute. I waited, and asked about 10 minutes later if they were close to getting to me. She said they were busy and I should have made an appointment. I said I do have an appointment, and she said oh then I should have made it for a less busy time. I left. Decided once could have been a fluke. Called and made an appointment for another day. Showed up at the scheduled time, and it wasn't very busy, but only a few people working. I asked how long before they would get to my appointment time, and was told 30 minutes. I went in on Tuesday to have my nails done, and the appointment I had made for my pedicure and my rebase at 9:30 ended up being split up into two appointments and me coming back two different times to have my nails done. I think it was the owner that said something happened with the schedule and they had too many girls scheduled at once... I have been going to TJ Nails for about 3 months. It has been an excellent experience every time! I have had almost everyone of their nail techs and they have all been so nice and do a thorough job. I was in a hurry, they understood why and helped me out! My last gel polish had grown out and was starting to chip, I needed to get it removed and new polish put on in less than an hour. Would have gave 0 stars if possible  Wife made appointment for to fill in appointment  the day before and was there early. Still had to wait as walk ins kept getting to go in front of her. They were rude to both my wife and daughter then tried to overcharge. Made appointment at same time but still split them up. This has got to be the worst nail salon in Franklin. I was greeted when I arrived, which I a big pet peeve of mine. Offered a beverage & magazines as I waited. The wait was not long at all (about 7 min.). Hilary did my manicure and pedicure & she was awesome! Very sweet personality, I highly recommend her. My overall experience there was really great. This is by far the worst place I have ever been. They are beyond rude and unprofessional. I would never even give this place one star but I didn't have a choice. Pros: The business is clean. I was able to walk in and be seated with in 15 minutes without an appt. my toenails look greatCons: I waited in the chair for approximately 10 minutes before we got started - no apology for delay. 2 women that worked there were having an argument in front of customers. Once my manicure wa s completed and my nails dried (supposedly) I walked out and door and reached my hand into my purse to get my keys. 2 nails Immediately smudged. I went back in, quickly got them fixed, and sat under the dryer again for 10 minutes or so. Left again, and by the time I got to work, I noticed that the polish on a different nail started sliding off. I called and explained this was the second time the Polish got messed up in 10 minutes or less, but I wouldn't be able to come in until next week to get it fixed due to my work schedule. I was told that if I was going to wait that long , I'd have to pay again - that is understandable but I wish I would have at least gotten an apology or maybe a percentage off my next manicure. This is the second manicure I've ever gotten and I rarely do things like this due to my budget. Going in i was expecting a pleasant, relaxing experience. It ended up not going the way I was hoping. Having just moved here and going to my nail tech for 16 years I thought it would be hard to find another one! I was so happy to find TJ Nails. Everyone is nice the place is kept immaculately clean. Worst nail experience EVER. My mom and I went here just to get a polish change (I had gel), they told us to wait a bit, then called me over for my nails. My mom politely waited, and they allowed her to sit next to me so we could talk. 20 mins later, someone else came in and they took her immediately. My mom was totally overlooked. Then a very rude employee yelled at my mom to get out of the chair next to me, so she could do a manicure on the client she had... there were other stations they could have sat at. As it was most of that rude girls stuff was elsewhere.. It made for a very uncomfortable time for us. I left as soon as the guy working on my nails got the polish off. Not worth it.  Went here for some mother/daughter bonding.  Waited 30 minutes because they did not have enough workers.  When they finally took us back they had me sitting 3 chairs away from the child's chair.  What child wants to sit that far away from their parent, not to mention we were doing this to talk and spend some time together without dad & brother.  Got mad because I told them this wouldn't work.  Needless to say we will NOT be going back here.
