I'm new to the area and am looking for a nail salon that can do a fill in and shellac color every other week. The woman did a fine job with shape and length as I need them short because I'm an esthician. All was fine until the woman started putting the shellac on my nails. The bottle of polish was near empty or empty in my view. I made a comment on how thin it was as she struggled to get enough color on my nails. I then Told her that I would be happy to chose another color that was similar that was a newer bottle. She continued to struggle to get enough coverage on my nails. My nails appeared to look good When I left the salon but felt that the color would not hold up. That was Monday and by Wednesday the color started chipping and fading off. I had a full set done on Saturday the 16th and today is the 19th and the gel polish is already coming off. I haven't done any physical labor or anything to make the polish come off. I'm very disappointed that in 3 days it already looks bad! Read Less

Horrible pedicure. Paid extra for extended massage that was non existent. One person started the pedi then someone else did the painting. One foot had 4 coats of polish that never dried even though I asked to please not add more polish.  Will never go back. Read Less

I felt like the services I got were extremely rushed. I got a deluxe pedi and a gel mani and my mom got a deluxe pedi. I had to wait about 15 mins to have my pedi started. My pedi was finished about 10 mins before my moms whose was started 15 mins before mine. And the mani only took about 20 mins all together and the polish doesn't even go to the edge of each finger nail. The salon also smelled like sewage Won't be back. Read Less

They do an incredible hot stone pedicure! With all the pedicures, you now get to choose which lotions and scrubs are used for you. The pedicure chair sinks are lined with a fresh liner and a new set of tools is used for each customer. The sanitary conditions here are top notch.Read Less

Haven't been for about 8 months, since at my last visit my toenails looked like my 5 year old neighbor's child had painted them. I decided to try it again. This time, I asked for an appointment that could accommodate myself and my sister-in-law at the same time. They assured me on the phone they could. Nope. I sat with my feet in water for 30 min. while my sis in law got her pedi. Then one person started me, and another person took over mid way through. All the while, my sis in law sat waiting for me. I would've understood if it was crowded, but it wasn't. There were workers milling around, playing on their phones, and going in and out of the back room.My pedi looks good, and it felt great, but we didn't plan to spend nearly 2 hours there for a regular pedi!With lots of places to choose from, I'm sure I can get a good $30 pedi elsewhere. I went in on a slow weekday with my girlfriend to get manicures.  The lady spent 10 minutes on me first - She cut my nails, did not file them, lathered on some oil and said "done".  I had dry, cracked cuticles when I walked out and my nails were cut uneven.  My girlfriend had the same amount of time and effort spent on hers.  The only difference is she had polish done.  The lady filed down her cuticle too far, causing her to bleed and to fix it, she put some acetone on it.  My girlfriend had polish all over the skin and under her nails AND the polish smudged before she even stood up to leave.  She asked if the lady would trim her nails to even lengths and that didn't happen either.  We didn't want anything fancy, just a nice relaxing afternoon together.  I will never go back. I'm very pleased! The salon is very clean and glory be!--the technicians wear gloves! They were efficient, didn't push gel manicures too hard (I wish salons would stop doing that), and were very friendly. I will definitely be going back. Jane was terrific! Read Less

As a walk in we sat in a chair and I was getting a little annoyed, then I got started. Incredible! Parrafin wax included, really treated my feet (I have eczema so no easy task), and the cost was great!!! Also got gel nails, looked great. Will come back. Read Less

Awful experience! I brought my daughter in for some mommy and me time and I asked for a foot soak/massage but not a normal pedicure with polish since I'd just gotten one recently. I've done this in the past and they charged me $25 (it is usually $30 with polish) and they quoted my daughters mani pedi at $35. Everything was great until it was time to pay. They said it would be $85. I asked what the $50 was for and they said I asked for a deluxe pedicure and an extra massage. There I no way what I asked for could have been mistaken for a deluxe. And on top if it I didn't even get nail polish so how could I be charged for all of that? There was banter between two women and then as I argued they stopped talking to me and just said $40. Because I didn't want to deal with it anymore I paid the $40 (plus $35) and vowed to never go back. I am normally a good tipper but unfortunately I had to take it out of her tip. So ultimately  I paid for a deluxe pedicure without asking for one and didn't even get my toes painted! There is a reason they don't post their prices on the wall - so they can play dumb and try to scam you. So much for a relaxing experience! Read Less

Several friends and I came in for manicures and pedicures last week. I e usually been pleased with my service here but this time was different. The nail tech didn't trim cuticles, cut but hardly filed nails and the toenail polish is already coming off. I was disappointed in my services.Read Less

Horrible.... Manager agreed to fix my nails but I just wanted to get out of there after horrible gel polish, old gel polish left on and painted over on the edges and filed so hard cut into my skin causing me to bleed. My wife got me into going with her and I didn't know what I was missing. They do a great job of not only maintaining my nails (no polish, thank you), but of also reconditioning the bottom of my feet. Do I get looks, sometimes, but I figure they just are admiring my awesomeness. Read Less

I enjoyed the girl who did my pedicure. She spend a good amount of time messaging and it was wonderful!! she did a great job on my toes! They even do a paraffin wax bag on your feet for the regular $30 pedicure! They were all very friendly! It was very clean and quiet! I will be back :) Read Less

I think I've found my new nail salon!I was a little nervous - given some of the reviews for other locations - but I had a great experience!I only had time for a pedicure during my lunch-hour, but they asked what time I needed to be done, and spent the time wisely.  They massaged my legs up the very last second before polishing and getting me out the door RIGHT ON TIME.I will absolutely go back - for the mani/pedi.Julie was very friendly - what a relaxing experience!Kate Read Less

SCARY! The owner googled me, hunted me down at my workplace, & left a kind of scary message after I had written some suggestions on a note ( after I had a Nail Fill there). DEFINITELY NOT SOCIALLY GRACEFUL. I don't normally leave negative reviews. The manicurist did a fine job, but the chair was Really Uncomfortable. SCARY. I just had a really terrifying experience. I needed my nails done, and since this business is newer & there never really seem to be any customers in the parking lot, so I thought I'd give it a shot. MISTAKE. My heart is still beating really fast. Here's what happened: I needed a nail fill & they sat me down at this huge tan counter (with my back facing the open door & it was really loud from the car traffic. The business was virtually empty of customers except for one woman who was receiving a pedicure & was enjoying it. The chair had a really low back & was really uncomfortable as it gave no support. Also, I was struck by the decor- they obviously spent alot of $ on it, but there was tan everywhere no other colors. It felt well, kind of weird. The manicurist did a nice job though, so I left her a good tip & it I wrote down some feedback on a piece of paper & left it on the front desk because I thought the owner/mgr might appreciate customer feedback & use the "Social Grace" in the business' name to consider the suggestions. WHAT HAPPENED AFTERWARD WAS THE REALLY SCARY PART:I went to work. In my absence the owner/mgr obviously Googled me or something, because when I looked at the Front Desk of the business where I worked, he had left a really kind of aggressive message written on the back of my note & this is what it said:"It is very disappointing that people like you exist in this world...you are not special!!! You are sick in the head. Everyone who has come in my nail salon loves it. You must have a huge head to think you could come in & leave these suggestions thinking we would ever consider changing anything for you. Please seek mental health and never come back in my nail salon. We Do not want Nor do we need customers like you. Good Day Psycho.PRETTY SCARY HUH. Not socially graceful. This appears to be congruent with a review left on GoogleMaps regarding another of their midTN locations, however, so it appears I am not alone in having a negative experience with Social Grace Nail Bar.
