Don't go here if you want to get acrylic nails. They wouldn't put tips on me because "my nails were long enough" which has never happened to me before. Even though I kept asking. For the tips she wouldn't do it. They also basically put the acrylic powder on my nail and then proceeded to use the drill the take it all off. I got a gel manicure for the price of acrylics. Don't do this to yourself and go somewhere else. Read Less

A thorough manicure is the way to my heart. I was very happy with the results of my shellac/gel manicure. The shop is clean and so we're the tools used. Service was quick. Unhappy with my manicure - I just wanted a regular French manicure, but the guy started giving me a gel manicure. When he put my hand under the uv box, I told him I didn't want a gel, and this really seemed to agitate him. He tried to talk me into it and said he'd have to soak off the polish and it "would be better for me" to go ahead with the gel. This was ridiculous because the uv hadn't set the polish yet. When I insisted, he went ahead and removed it as if it were hardened - roughed up my nail, wrapped in foil, etc. then he proceeded to do a messy job with the regular polish. Nails were rough on the edge and I had to fix them myself when I got home. While I was there I heard them pushing gels to other people. So if you like gel manicures and want to pay for them, this would be an ok place. But be prepared to stand up for yourself otherwise. Who needs that? Read Less

After reading so many glowing reviews, I was looking forward to trying Franklin Nails. I'm sad to say I was extremely disappointed. Maybe if you get a more expensive service, they use clean tools, but my technician used dirty, nasty stuff that was obviously not cleaned after the last client. There was no one in the shop, so it wasn't like the time couldn't have been taken to clean things. I know I should have gotten up and left, but I didn't, and that's my fault. At least the polish has lasted. It was done on Wednesday and I don't have any chips. She rushed it so much, I thought for sure it would chip. She wasn't rude, but she was not what I'd call friendly.I shouldn't have to get a more expensive service, which she really tried to talk to me into, to have clean tools. I will not go back. The lightning is terrible you can't see their mistakes until you get outside - how do you miss half the nail with nail color?? I just got a regular pedicure and they really gave me the works! Very nice people and really great finished product. The only complaint I have is that the decor is a little much and not very relaxing. I would still recommend it though! Read Less

Perhaps it depends on the service you're there for but this salon was no different than any other I've been to.  I got a gel manicure.  It was OK.  There are spots where the gel pooled by my cuticles and quite frankly looks like I did them myself.  It seemed very rushed.  I was in the chair for about 25 minutes. This is my go-to!I honestly think they just do all the pedi-goodness but don't charge you for it!I don't know about how clean, I don't think I saw them open any new packages for their tools.Everyone is friendly, the leg massage is wonderful, the callous removal OUCH.Both mani/pedi lasts a long time. I'm bummed they want to charge $5 to remove gel nails, like I'm coming to you for the service that can't be included? Argh... If you're thirsty I think they have small bottled water for you... Absolutely love this place! My mom got a spa pedicure and manicure; I got gel nails. So, so friendly and great service! One of the best places to get gel nails (I got mine from Martha, who was excellent).My mom swears by their pedicures. Wonderful, will be back the next time I'm in town! Read Less

Went here on Saturday and the guy (older guy, the owner) who I NEVER WANTED to do my nails, sat down and started on my nails. I simply stated that I didn't want him to cut me like he did last time and he said I hurt his feelings and kicked me out. I could not believe it. Even after I had asked for his wife to do my nails. He said he would just clean off my gel and then she would do them. I asked that he take his time. He said I hurt his feelings. All I asked was that he not cut me like last time. The manicure was only decent. My pedicure polish was bumpy and chipped in just a few days. But worst of all, the salon was not clean. I really got nervous when the nail technician pulled a cuticle clipper out of a drawer with no discernible wrapper to determine its cleanliness. I hope and pray it was clean. This nail salon is awesome! My sister and I always try to go whenever she visits me.  They take their time, do a great job and always so friendly.  We also love it because we can take our little girls (3 & 5 yrs old) to get their nails done in the pink teddy bear chairs.  We've made some great memories and look forward for more to come! I was thrilled to find such a great nail salon near home. It is super clean and has an abundance of spa chairs for pedicures and plenty of desks for manicures. They great selection of OPI polish. They also have a ton of shellac colors to choose from. The staff is attentive and their "basic" manicures and pedicures have extras that other salons charge extra for. For example, you get a salt scrub and paraffin for no extra charge on manicures and scrub and hot towels for no extra charge on pedicures.
