I have lived in the Nashville-Brentwood-Franklin area my entire life. I have visited numerous nail salons. Deluxe Nails in Franklin, TN is dedicated to customer service. The owner welcomes praise and accepts criticisms, too. It is evident by the sings posted throughout the salon that Deluxe Nails wants every guest leaving happy and with perfect nails. POSSIBLE DIVERSITY ISSUES? Made an appointment for 11:20a and when I got there the host asked me to sit down in the waiting area so he could check in the customers behind me. A tech pointed to me and the host made a 'shooing' gesture towards my direction. After taking each customer to a seat, he approaches me and ask me to make another appointment for a later time. Never have I ever had a spa experience like this. My nails are sore and one finger has a cut it. Not to mention paint on my skin! Extremely rough nail tech. This was my first visit to the nail spa. Upon my arrival, I was given little direction or service breakdown. I had to find the waiting area myself, the service menu myself, and was never told where the restrooms were. Once someone was available, I was given little direction. Just a vague point at the pedicure area. Who, where? Once I sat down, the tech spoke to me but she did not understand my answers. She would ask me multiple times to repeat my answers. Finally I just gave up and started saying yes or nodding my head to everything. MISTAKE! My nails were cut way too short, got a gel manicure when I just wanted regular polish (I picked out regular polish but she kept saying I needed gel and she left to go get it. No matter how many times I said no she would just say, you need gel), one of my fingers started to bleed from all the rough treatment, and polish was cute off or she attempted to file it off my skin!! My nails started to feel like they are burning and were very sore to the touch almost immediately. Did I complain to management? No. It took aver 3hrs and I just wanted to get out of there. Poor job. Cut my foot open with the "cheese grater" they use to take callouses off. This method is way too aggressive it hurts. A pedicure is supposed to be relaxing not painful. Destroyed cuticles, I have bandages on my foot and on my fingers. Don't seem to care about the the job they do especially if you want just polish and not acrylic or gel or dip. Deluxe Nails is slightly hidden, but not difficult too find. I was on my way when I called to make an appointment, they were able to seat me and get my nails going right away! I got a gel, French tip manicure. They did offer a new service, like gel but it's organic or something like that? It was $50, so I did pass, but it was interesting - if you're looking for that type of service. The lady next to me was getting it and seemed to like it.Services are $1-4 off if you pay cash vs card. I paid cash for my service. A gel manicure is $35, $33 with cash, and $5 extra for French tip. Prices for nails - I guess this is the normal for Tennessee. I'm from cali original were the prices are much much less, but this is on the lower end from what research I have done. I think they did a pretty good job; they lasted though my beach trip and honestly only had one little chip in it after I got though 3 days in the Atlantic Ocean. My nails turned out good however the service wasn't great. The man doing my nails took double the time because he kept stopping to help other workers, talk with new guests walking in and work the register. Everyone in my family goes to Deluxe because it's the best nail salon in Franklin!They have the best SNS dip powder experience- my nails never chip, and can last for 3 weeks every time. The massage chairs are insanely comfortable and they offer complimentary beverages when you walk in.They're super kind and the environment is relaxing! At my last appointment, I decided to get a manicure for the first time in years because I was attending a wedding and my nails are brittle and not very attractive. However, I never liked how acrylic nails felt. I work on the computer all day and don't need nails that hinder my work or feel heavy. I spoke wit...h the owner John and he said their SNS Organic manicure would be the perfect solution. I tried it and could not be more THRILLED! John is truly a master craftsman when it comes to nails. He gave me the custom fit I needed. They look great and feel lightweight yet strong. He said this product will also improve the health of my own nails. It has been 10 days and they still look awesome. Now I just need to go back for a quick fill-in. I highly recommend booking an appointment with John. He has a fun personality, positive attitude and is highly skilled. His Nail Spa is beautiful, clean and everyone is very friendly. I moved to Franklin, TN about a year ago from NY. In NY, I would get my nails done every week or every week and a half at my favorite place. So when I moved for work, I was nervous I wouldn't find the same satisfaction that I got in NY-that was until I found Deluxe Nails and Spa. They had the best ratings then all of the other salons in the area so I gave them a try and was not disappointed. Tyler and his team do their very best at providing excellent customer service as well as a clean and friendly environment. (They even have wine!) They have the largest nail color selection that I've seen! There was one certain OPI gel color that was discontinued and Tyler went as far as finding it and stocking it in the salon for me. First time doing my nails in this place, it was a nice experience, personnel was nice and attentive. Joe did my nails and he was very good, they accommodated my request of trying to avoid infection because of health reason and they put a plastic over the feet tub which was good and also they used new nail filer and buffer. I was surprised they only had guys working there, but it was fine and there was not a conversation in between them like when there are only girls. It is a little pricey but I guess it is worth it. I went to Deluxe Nails after they had closed and they were so gracious. The owner opened the salon and pampered me so much. They never made me feel like I was a burden.
