Recently went in for the first time to try a gel manicure. I have trouble with regular manis lasting and not wanting to do acrylic. My technician was rather brusque - he never smiled once or made any polite conversation. I told him it was my first time with gel but he didn't bother to give me any tips or info. The mani itself looked okay when I left but the gel seems to make my nails look stubby (maybe if they were longer to start with) but it doesn't help that he did not put the polish all the way to the cuticle. So the entire nail is not really covered and looks shorter. Not sure why they do that. The next day one of them chipped slightly and by day two several were "peeling" off at the sides. I discovered you can peel them off in one piece. I was told the gel lasts 2 to 3 weeks. Oh well, for $40 including tip I will not be going back. Still searching for a decent nail spa in Franklin... Disappointed in going to Brilliant Nail Spa. Because they spilled oil in the cart, it got on the "menu" , which got on my purse. No apologies, just said it happens, it will be okay in a few days. Very disappointed. Read Less

Decided to go to have my first pedicure ever while I had some free time on a work trip. The people at the salon were AMAZING! They all seemed friendly, willing to help, and they put me at ease since it was my first time and I was the only male in the salon. Although I don't have much experience, the price seemed reasonable for the quality of work that I received! (I did the hot stones). When I'm back in town I will definitely be revisiting! Read Less

Took my mom to get a pedicure today for the first time for her Mother's Day present. We were greeted by a lovely young woman named Alex. She treated me and my mom like we were family from the moment we got there, til the moment we left. She did an AMAZING job on my mom's toes and we both loved the full on experience! I took my mother here for her birthday (and my wedding). We both received excellent pedicures, then she a manicure and a set of pink and whites for me. My mother loved every minute of it and this was by far and away the most beautiful set of acryllics I have ever had. My nails looked perfect on my wedding day, and the entire honeymoon. I was not satisfied with my first experience here. I was welcomed with a hello but that was it. I tried to talk to the girl that attended to me, who spoke English quite well. She only had one responded with one word usually. However, she talked with everyone else around. I just left feeling unwelcome. I guess that's why there weren't any other customers there. Read Less
