I have been going to five star nails since elementary school. Here lately their service has been declined. The past two times I have gone, I have had to wait over and hour to be seen. And it’s not like they were busy either. Today I went, but before I went in, I called and asked for tony, he says he wasn’t busy and to come up there. I get there and end up spending an HOUR waiting. They charged extra for a glitter polish and we have never had to pay for glitter polish at other places we have been. They also didn’t spend a hot second on my 7 year olds pedicure and charged me $25 for her. Carla and Jessica are amazing but I won’t be back simply bc if the owners. Tony was awesome. I went with my friend, but the Asian lady there did her nails. I showed him a picture of what I wanted my nails to look like and made them perfect! Just like the picture! He was very funny and friendly. If any of you had a problem with him, it’s most likely your fault. You have to explain what you want, yes, miscommunication can happen. But y’all people just get so butthurt because you don’t know how to explain what you want so that they can understand. They have their rules and how hard is it to follow them? Not hard at all! I didn't even want to give them a one star ! This place is terrible ! I had my daughters nails done she came home they looked horrible. So I took her up there to get them redone she said my daughter messed them up ! If you do it right they won't get messed up ! She had polish on the side of her fingers just terrible ! As far as the color and the nails go , I'm very pleased with the work ! BUT my fingers are so sore today . Usually when I go in to get my nails done , there are times here and there that they cut the skin on my cuticals with the nail drills . This time it is so bad ! And I am not happy ! Everytime I go lately it's more and more of a disappointment for some reason everytime ! The one time I was actually happy with the way my nails were done I have to suffer with red puffy sore cuticals ! Is this pampering ?? Not at all! I wish I could show a picture of what my cuticals look like on here , but it was shared on my Facebook for all to see ! Very disappointed my friends ! I won't be back anymore . Don't go here.  WORST NAIL SALON I have ever gone to - I have never written a bad review on any business but I can say after trying them not once but three times that they are consistently the worst salon ever. The experience is horrible, they are rude, make no attempt to understand or respond to your comments/asks and then to top it off my nails look terrible and are chipping by the end of the day.  I tried 3 times and will never do it again.  There are much better salons in the area. First of all I really hate giving a bad review to someone, but I was so shook up when I left this place that I feel like I have to share my experience. Let me just say OKemeyia Miller is one of the best nail techs I have ever come in contact with and also one of the sweetest. Unfortunately we weren't able to get an appointment with her, so we had to use one of the other techs. When I walked in and I was greeted by an Asian girl who asked May I help you? I told her I want t...o get my daughters nail polish changed and her nails trimmed down. She acted like she didn't understand so I said it again. Then a nice lady sitting there getting her nails done said she wants the color changed and trimmed. I wanted to make sure they understood because those nails were only 2 weeks old and weren't ready to be filled. The only reason we were back was because she wanted her nails to match her prom dress. Once I felt like she understood what I was asking for I dropped my daughter off and told her I would be back in a few minutes. She immediately went to a chair and sat down. When I returned I sat in the car waiting on her to come out and the longer I sat there the more I wondered what they were doing. A polish change and trim shouldn't have taken maybe 20 minutes. So I texted my daughter and ask her what was taking so long and she said he's putting a new set of nails on me. So I walked into the shop and ask what he was doing and he said my daughters nails were dirty and old and she needed a new set. I said no I only wanted the polish changed and a trim and besides that the nails are only two weeks old. He just kept working and ignoring me so I just decided to add up the price according to the sign on the wall and that was all I was giving him. Once he was finished he told me my bill was $30 and I shook my head and said no it's not it's $13. Three dollars for a trim and $10 for a polish change. He started yelling at me telling me no and pointing at my daughter and saying she wanted new nails she told me so. I said it doesn't matter what she asked for or what she requested I came in here and gave explicit instructions on what I was wanting done and what I was willing to pay for and you ignored that even when I came in in the middle and told you that was wrong. He continued to scream at my daughter and call her a liar even though my daughter was calmly saying mama I never said that and we found out later someone overheard the entire conversation and corroborated her story. When he saw that I wasn't going to back down he reached and attempted to jerk the money out of my hand and when he did he jerked my hand really hard while continuing to scream. I will never visit this establishment again. I took my mom in on her birthday. She suffers from Alzheimer's and the intention was to treat my mom to a pedicure and visit with her at the same time. I had driven 1.5 hours and taken a half day of vacation to spend time with this very special lady. I helped my mom to a chair and then took her shoes off. A fellow who I presume to be the owner approached me and asked what I was doing. I explained that I was assisting with he...r shoes and that I was just gonna sit by her and visit. He said 'no' and told me to go sit by the window. I said no, and I am gonna sit by my mom. He then began to yell and throw his hands in the air. I said if you do not let me sit by her, I will leave. One last time, he said 'you not sit in chair'. Let me be clear.... There were 8 or 10 pedicure chairs in this establishment and NO ONE was waiting and no pedicure was underway. There was absolutely no excuse for this behavior and no reason for me not to sit beside her. Both my 77 year old mother and I were dis-respected . This is ABSOLUTELY the worst nail salon I have ever been to.  I have attempted to do business here twice and have walked out extremely upset both times.  They are absolutely the rudest people I have met.  They do not need to be in business!  What a disgrace to our town. Read Less
