I went in on a Sunday, since the place I usually like to go to was not open. I have been to Vo nails before, but I regret going this last time.. shellac nails are suppose to last 2 weeks. Mine lasted one day & started to chip. I did normal activities too, nothing abnormal that could've caused it. They were nice enough to fix the chips not only once .. but I had to go back twice for fixing. 2 nails completely came off by Saturday, did not even last a week. Not really happy & definitely not worth $30. My cuticles & nail shape look great, but not happy about the shellac at all, the polish was too thick I think. Probably won't be going back.. Read Less

I won’t go anywhere else after having been here! My powder dip nails last almost 3 weeks on average, which is worth every penny since I’m in childcare and washing my hands frequently destroys regular manicures in a couple of days. They give wonderful pedicures without doing that weird thing where other places cut the edges off of your big toenails, which always leaves me in pain. I just got my nails done here while I was in town for the weekend with my boyfriend visiting his family. I needed my nails done bad and I did a little research reading reviews before I went to a shop I’ve never been before. This one had the best review and I’m glad I made the decision. The staff was very friendly, their customers were very friendly and talkative. The shop was neat, clean, and organized, and their prices were very reasonable. This place is my go to. I've been getting nails done for over 10 yrs and they know how to do everything. All the new styles that I like on Pinterest or IG they can make it happen. The woman that I dealt with here is EXTREMELY unpleasant. She is bitter, unmotivated, and by her own words, doesn't want to learn anything new (i.e. ombre, glitter tips, basically anything besides french tips and full color. She literally said this to me). You work in a fashion based industry. Literally the main part of your job is to maintain current trends in nails so you can get the most business. I told her I would come back the next day when I had decided upon what I wa...nted (because she was unable to do a specific, simple nail design) and she flat out told me, "You won't be coming back tomorrow. You won't want to take the time out of your day." Btw, I did come back, I keep my word. I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she had a bad day. NOPE! She was so grossly inadequate in the customer service department; when she said she couldn't do glitter tips with gel polish, I suggested that we could use regular polish. She told me it would be a waste of money and that she wouldn't do it if she was me. Are you kidding? I'm offering you money, trying to find a way to make it work, and all you can do is be negative? I was trying to make conversation and tell her that usually my gel nails chip within a week, and she told me that IF they're done RIGHT (and not cheaply) that they will last 2 weeks. The ones she did chipped within 4 days on multiple nails, and I wasn't doing anything extreme with my hands. Unfortunately, it happened the night before we were leaving on vacation (literally the reason I got them done), and I could not return for a fix or a refund. Other complaints - when I walked in the first day, the smell of chemicals was extremely overpowering. It made me sick to my stomach, blended with a strong incense that was trying and failing to cover the chemical smell. Room was sparse, I was unsure about if they sanitized their equipment, and their gel polish selection was limited. The second my friend's nails were done the first time I came in, she walked away and left the room. The only nice thing about this was the other nail tech. He was nice, understanding, and very friendly. I have no doubt he is the only thing keeping that business afloat. Have not a bad nail job yet! I always get shellac, takes about 40 min average time. But they take their time, does it RIGHT! One nail tech devoted to you (instead of 4 or 5 working on you because they are just trying to hurry you in and out). Read Less

Absolutely amazing! I tried another nail place and got tips and dip powder, the other place was simply sloppy, harsh, and in a hurry most of the time. Everyone at Vo's is thorough and they don't try to get you in and out in the shortest amount of time possible. I've gotten manicures, pedicures, shellac, normal polish, and tips from Vo's and nowhere has the care and precision like the staff there do.  The atmosphere at Vo's is also very professional but relaxing. The staff, even though all mostly from Vietnam or their first language being Vietnamese, know english very well! This is very important because you need to be able to communicate them what you want. Was a long time customer but recently was disappointed in the service. They convinced me to do dip nails instead of the gel I always get because it apparently makes your nails stronger... I picked out a pink color and the color on the sample nail was nothing like how it appeared on my nail... when I asked her to fix it she said she couldn't and told me I needed to pay before she did anything else... 45 dollars for a horrible experience... This was my first time at VO Nails, and I had an excellent pedicure! The atmosphere is very relaxing. The nail stylist are not rudely talking in Vietnamese like most nail salons. It always makes me uncomfortable. It is a very professional atmosphere. Three different employees made sure I was okay and offered me something to drink. It is a bit pricey and you can get a mani/pedi elsewhere for much less but the service cannot be found. Mya did my pedicure and she was excellent. She cleaned my toes as much as she could! She paid very much attention to detail and really took her time with me. I have been looking for someone like that for a long time! The pedicure includes all the things most other nail salons charge extra for anyways so you may end up with the same price as any other salon (callus remover, massage, oil, hot towels). Made it around 6:20 for a mani/pedi. Was seated pretty quickly. While I was receiving pedi services from Alexis she asked another tech if she would do my mani. She reluctantly agreed. She then immediately began while I was in the pedi chair. I asked for the hot gloves she asked me if I wanted them. Yes that's why I asked. That is partvof a normal mani. She then told me they could not be removed and she would do b my mani in the pedi chair no hand/arm support just hand suspense in the air. The mani was rushed. There was still polish on my nails from my previous service when she began a rushed polish job. The massage was about 3 minutes long. Worst nail spa experience ever. I am giving them a 2 only because I took 7 of us girls in there and they worked us on in there as quickly as they humanly could with no fuss. If I were to have gone in alone and received this bad a mani pedi alone however I would give them a flat 1star. They were already busy and I get that. I paid out over 400 bucks that day though and my own polish began chipping the next day and looked horrendous after just three days. No dishes or anything to blame it on either. She also scuffed my fingers three times while filing which left small sore places.... Up by my knuckles. I have never had that happen ever. Not the best and yes it can be blamed on how busy they were and the 7 I took in at once on top of their other clients but .... I'm paying so why not take your time and do it right? Ugh, Collierville. I've been spending a lot of time here lately...not by choice, I might add. Well, I take that back. I love my friends who live here...it's just soooooooooo far away. But back to the review. I met my girlfriend here for a pedicure and I was impressed they offered alcoholic beverages (one per person limit though). Yeah, it might have been 10 in the morning, but that truly is the perfect time for a mimosa. And the place is very clean and nice...although lacking character a bit. Sterile almost. We signed in at the same time and both got the sea scrub pedicure...but she started 10 minutes before me and yet we finished at the same time. The lady working on me was just completely inattentive. She left me for 5 minute periods and skimped on a lot of things my friend got. I wasn't very happy. My toes looked good though...I was just annoyed that I was there to relax and I was getting jelly over all the attention my girlfriend got while I was left hanging. Read Less

Best manicure I've ever gotten! I was really impressed. Came here with my mom and sister for mother's day. The list was pretty long but they were the only nail salon open on a Sunday. Waited 5-10 mins to be seated, another 10 to get lotion and warm hand bags. Then another 10 for the nail tech to start. There's certainly a lack of individual attention. However Lina did a great job! This was my second visit to Vo's, and as usual, they were quite busy.  My wait was about 10 minutes in the lobby and then I was seated and had some lotion (or?) put on my hands and placed in heated bags.  I sat again for about another 10-15 minutes and then had another woman finish my services.  The technician did a very nice job.  The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to how busy they were and the lack of individual attention, but other than that, Rock Solid. So my first experience here was HORRIBLE!!! I got the acrylic French manicure and my nails are already coming off and it's only been a week. Now when I say coming off I mean popping off not just growing out. They just look horrible. The lady that did my toes.... That was yet another horrible experience, I had to get another worker to redo my toes and be basic pedicure was horrible, pretty much my feet soaked in water got dried off and painted.... Came here with my partner after reading the great reviews. Clean, pleasant place but that's about all I can say positive. We both got mani pedis but neither was done well. One of us ended up with completely uneven nails and hands that look like no one has touched them, the other with shorter nails in a shape I didn't want and with various spots of polish on my fingers that the tech didn't bother to clean up. I really like Vo's nails. I came here because of the yelp reviews and the close proximity to home. I was not disappointed. My mother and I both got deluxe pedicures. I really enjoyed the experience and felt I got a lot for the money. They were busy when we arrived, but we were welcomed and our pedicures were not rushed. The end results were beautifully pampered feet with polish that stayed put for weeks and weeks. I didn't however like the lasting power of my manicure. I don't wear acrylics, and they seem to still do mostly acrylic nails. My shellac polish didn't last more than four days before they were a chipped mess. I would go back most definitely. I just love this place! I only come here ever so often because this particular location is in cville and I live downtown. This weekend spending it with my mom and she treated me to a mani and pedi! In my opinion they are the best! The ladies are so friendly and sweet! Saturdays are their busiest day so I would get there early if you want to get in and out! I am always pleased when I go to Vo's. I went there per reference from my Mom and a coworker to get my nails done for my wedding in 2008. My hands tend to sweat and I let the owner know up front, to see if that were an issue. Right away she said that's no problem here. They recently remodeled so now the place is double the relaxation. Vo's is such a treat and no appointment is required.  When I was pregnant I would get pedicures there and they did the best job!  The price point is so affordable considering they have comfortable massage chairs, they take their time on the leg and foot massage, and your toes will look great.  You'll feel like a  million bucks!  Since I had the baby I haven't had time for pedicures but I do pop in for brow and lip wax.  They always fit me in quickly and do a great job.  There is a private room with a comfortable table and they put nice soothing lotion on after to relieve the stinging.  The staff always has a smile and works very hard.  I'm glad we have such a great local spot in Collierville.  I've tried other salons nearby, including Kathy's and Goulds, and it's just not as good of an experience at Vo's! This place is awesome. It's very clean and the nail techs are extremely friendly. I'm in town on a business trip and wanted to relieve a little stress and pamper myself. I was on the way to my aunts house and stopped at Vo's. They have every color under the sun in opi and essie. I was assisted right away. I got the deluxe pedi and mani. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The employees did not even acknowledge me when I entered the building, one of the ladies walked off, said she was coming right back and never returned. I set an appointment for 1:00 o clock and the didn't even get to my nails until 2:00. They were very rude to me and I will never return there again! Read Less
