The guy that did my pedicure scratched the top sides of both feet with the callus remover to the point where they bled(3 scratches on the left foot and two on the right). The woman working with him was awful, and by awful, I mean rude. I asked if I could sit in the chair to let my pedicure dry and was told no. The nail tech wasn't knowledgeable about how to shape my nails. She kept asking for assistance and was trying to shape them the only way she knew. When I arrived the staff at Kathy's Nails told me to sit in the back.After almost an hour of waiting my friend eventually got up to see why they where taking so long. That's when they realized we were there waiting for them to start our nails. The owner of the shop was rushing to do my nail repair. First, was very frustrated at my nails, then put super glue (I later realized) on my nail to glue back my nail. I had a previously had my nail done with a gel polish and asked her if she could use the same nail poilsh, she refused to put gel nail and put a regular polish on my nail, that didn't match the previous nail color; after I said I had no problem paying the extra fee. I went to Kathy's this past weekend because my friend was graduating and she wanted the discount. The service was horrible. They had no clue who came in before the other even with the sign in sheet. We spent 3 hours in there just to get a pedicure and manicure. My pedicure was okay but the manicure was awful. She (1 of about 4 people that worked on me) used the wrong size nail tip on my thumb so it looks crooked. There is an obvious opening between my real nail and the tip, showing a lack of glue, and it's full of weird dirty gunk. There are also balls of acrylic under the tip from them not drilling it away. They didn't trim my nails at all so my nails are already growing half way up the tip. My friend's tips were put on one hand, the woman left to do a pedicure, then the other hand was done. That really set us off. There was a sign that there were complimentary drinks but none were offered or brought up. They seemed rushed and like they didn't give a damn what our manicures and pedicures looked like. This is why I always go to a different place. Read Less

I hate this place! I once when for a manicure and they left me in the hand heaters for to long. A day later because of it my hands hurt, burned, and they started scaling up my hands looked terrible! Also I got my eye brows waxed it took about 30 minutes for service and one eyebrow was perfect and the other WAS HALF OFF it was perfectly in a straight line! Incredibly rude. I ultimately walked out after the pedi and took the shellac off my own nails with their equipment bc they left me sitting for about an hour. When I tried to leave they kept trying to make me stay and get my nails done. They were betting on horse races and not paying attention to any of their customers. Crazy experience.Read Less

My nails were rushed cut too short jagged and acrylic left under my tips my nail polish bubbled and was all over my finger i coukd of done better myself i ended leaving with a clear coat and still paid the most i have ever paid for a full set in Memphis Read Less

Was extremely pleased with this place. We showed up at seven and they still accepted us even though they closed at 7:30. And they continued to take more people even after 7:20. I am new to Collierville and looking for a new nail salon close to home. Kathy's was my first attempt. Salon was roomy and appeared to be clean. My daughter and I did not have to wait long. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. Usually a gel manicure lasts about two weeks for me; unfortunately after five days my polish is peeling off. I normally wouldn't care but after spending $40 on a manicure, I'd like it to last. My daughter got regular polish and it has lasted longer which is pretty bizarre to me. Not a bad nail salon but I'll keep looking until I find a better experience or at least a better value. Read Less

The costumer service here is absolutely terrible. Tina has such a bad attitude. I get a full set often and they make the nails very uneven. All they want is your money, and to get you in and out as quick as possible. I called to file a complaint about Tina after a terrible experience, she rushed me and my friend. She had an attitude when telling her what we wanted always huffing and puffing. When I asked her what she was doing she said "I know my job." Also, once we were drying our nails, she was confused about what a lady wanted and slammed a bowl and tools down on the nail table. Absolute worse manicure I've ever gotten in my life. The polish has begun to chip the same day i got them done. I went in to get a pedicure. It was pretty crowded but they got me in a chair right away. They even came by to give me more hot water while I was waiting as they were very busy. My son was with me and decided he wanted to have a "hot tub" for his feet too. So they set him up on a chair and gave him a "boy pedi" as well. The service was great and they gave us both personal attention. My toes look great and I will be going back when I get my next pedi. Read Less

Kathy's is a great place to get your nails and toes done.  The staff is skilled, it is extremely clean and prices are reasonable.   I have been going there for over 10 years.  Each customer has their own box of "tools".  For the items not included in the box, you see them being sterilized.  All stations are very clean.  I highly recommend this shop. I give this place 1 star just because it doesn't allow me to give it none. I guess I should have read the reviews before going but the place was close to me and decided to give it a try. Went today (saturday morning) for a pedi/mani ($45) and yes I got served on pretty fast even though the place seemed like it was busy. However, the service was horrible. To begin, Kathy, the owner, was the one performing both services for me. There was a lady that walked in at the same time I did and by the time Kathy was done with my pedi the other man doing a pedi on the lady that walked in at the same time I did was barely giving the lady a hot towel massage which lasted a good 5-8 mins. Kathy, doing mine, did the whole pedicure in like 10 mins. She did the nail polish there and said she would do the clear coat while she did my manicure. I was then told to sit in the manicure chair and she started doing my manicure. Another horrible experience! She left a bunch of bubbles in my polish and it was really badly done. After I let it dry for a bit hoping for the bubbles to go away I started looking at my toes and most toe nails didn't have any polish on the ends. It looked like she just brushed the polish on the very top/visible part of the nail without covering the edges. I then asked her to fix the bubbles in my finger nails and to apply polish over the toe nails that didn't have any polish. She seemed upset and had me place my feet on top of her knees to do this. Anyway, she brushed more polish on top very careless and didn't even wipe the polish she got in my skin off. She also did not apply any clear coat on my toes after her "fixing" my nails and by then I was just so upset I just wanted to get out of there. DO NOT GONTO THIS PLACE and find a better nail salon. The best salon around! I have never had as many compliments on my hair since Donna has been taking care of it - always a beautiful colour and cut! The salon is always clean, modern and welcoming. The products used are luxury brands and the staff have won multiple awards. All the girls are very talented and super friendly. After a prescriptive facial with Izzy I now also use Dermalogica skincare and my skin improved overnight - its never been better. Never will I step foot in this place again! My usual salon was packed and I just didn't have the time to wait an hour to get my eyebrows waxed! Let's just say I really wished I had been patience! I came here on  Monday 5/5/14There was someone else in the back of the salon getting services done. I walked in I was greeted by a lady. She asked me what I wanted. I asked for a Mani-Pedi. Tina was my girl who did both services. I am not complaining about the the work she did, when you walk in they have a sign for complimentary Champagne. They never offered. Why advertise it if they don't have it. They also advertise that you get a "Free Personal Kit" well guess what I also didn't get that !! Soooooooo absolutely horrible customer service !! Three strikes and you're out!  I've gone to this salon 3 times and each visit was worse than the previous. During my second visit, the woman doing my nails had 3 of us going at the same time!  During my last visit, the woman doing my nails was also multi-tasking, answering phones, running around setting up stations and jumping up to make change for other woman who would shove $20 or $10 in her face.  My shellac manicure lasted barely 10 days and was rather sloppy at that.  I kept thinking this salon would be a prime candidate for the show "Tabatha Takes Over."  Never again. Went in to get a full set of gel nails, they tried to give me acrylics instead. I had to tell them twice I wanted gel not acrylics. When they told them I go to beauty school and know the process they changed their tune. I went with the acrylics instead and of course they lowered the price! It is 2 days later now and one of them is already coming off. Very thin layers, not good quality work. I agree with the other reviews as they hurry you thru the process. This is probably the worst salon ever! I went in for a pedicure, and I definitely did not get what I paid for. They turned on the water and told me to put my feet up instead of in the water. They continued to work on my pedicure outside of the water, and the whole process was approximately 5 mins in all. I never once dipped my feet in the water to soak. Who does that?! Prices weren't that cheap either. Then, they were talking very rudely to me and about me through out the entire visit. They act like I cannot understand them or something. DEFINITELY A MUST NOT!!! Awful service!  I called in advance to check how busy the salon was, and was told to come in any time.  When I did, they didn't seem all that busy, but the entire experience made me feel more like stop on a manufacturing line than being pampered.  The lady who was doing my manicure had three different people going at the same time, and in the end it took about 30 minutes longer than it should have.  I got a Shellac manicure, and within 4 days it was peeling off!  Never again!  I am relatively new to the area, and have stopped by a few places, however end up kicking myself afterwards because no one seems to compare to Elite Nails on Houston Levee.  Friendliness, class, and quality!  Will never go anywhere else! Worst Pedicure Ever!!! Service was rushed and careless. I've only been there once and that was one time too many. They give you a shoddy "revolving door" pedicure to keep you coming back to get what should have been done the first time. I've seen this far too often at these types of establishments. Within a week, your feet will look like they need another pedicure. Sadly, someone who has never had a proper pedicure would think this is the norm. They do keep a constant watch of the door (as another poster mentioned) for new victims coming in. Basically their business model thrives on production and quantity, rather than service and quality (which evidently has worked for them since they have several locations in the area). Your experience: Employee says "May I help you?" "Okay, pick your polish" (employee watches customer with rushful eyes while they are picking out a polish) "I'm ready for you" (customer sits). Employee then proceeds to buff nails, slap lotion on and paint nails (no base coat because of time and added expense of doing it the right way), she/he then grabs your stuff for you and briskly escorts you to the dryer area. "That'll be $30" (employee is thinking - hurry up and pay me so I can get our next victim in a chair before they run the heck out of here and take thier purses with them!!). Also, I didn't hear them offer anyone wine or refreshments (Oh, my apologies - that's just a marketing ploy. Actually serving it to the customers would hurt the bottom line and It's all about the Money, Honey!). I am so done with flushing away my money at these Fast-Food Nail establishments. I had some errands to run in Collierville, so I decided to get a pedicure at Kathy's instead of my regular salon, just because it was nearby. It was lunchtime on a Saturday, and I didn't make an appointment. When I arrived and saw people sitting at the front of the shop, I expected to have to wait a while. But they have a lot of pedicure chairs, so by the time I'd picked my color, it was my turn.I prefer louder colors -- blue, green, etc -- and was impressed that Kathy's had a great variety of colors beyond your standard pinks and reds, although there were plenty of those too. They're well-staffed, so I got my pedicurist's undivided attention instead of having to sit helplessly while someone else was taken care of (as has happened to me elsewhere). She did an awesome job; in fact, three weeks later my pedi still looks pretty good. Everything was sanitary and spotless. I had a great experience, and whenever I have a reason to be in Collierville this'll likely be my go-to place for a mani/pedi. Read Less
