The "green" nails picture was on day one at the shop. You can see it isn't all the way down to the cuticle. It looks like it needs a touch up and it was just done. My finger nails were VERY SORE when I left the shop. As the days went on they continued to feel very sore and sensitive. When the nails finally came off...because I wasn't going back to have them done again..My nail beds were severely bruised and blood blisters were under my skin were these nails were. This was at least two weeks later. I didn't pull the nails off so it wasn't bruising from that. I have been getting my nails done for YEARS and that never happened to me before visiting this nail spa. I wouldn't recommend going there...which makes me very sad because I live within walking distance to this place. Read Less

1st visit with Lillian Powers. Had the Kerotin treatment, Balayage color and cut. Was fantastic!! LOVED it! Lillian does amazing work and is the sweetest young lady! Such a sweetheart of a couple ! My daughter and I went in for mani/ pedis. They were so friendly and they had such a great and natural conversation with both myself and my 12 year-old daughter the whole time . The atomosphere was relaxing and pristine . They did a terrible job on my nails. They told me it would take 45 mins to do a full set of acrylics and it took 2 and a half hours. The man also used nail polish for acrylic nails which you are never supposed to do. On my way out the door they are already messed up because he put too many coats of nail polish on my ACRYLICS.... would not reccomend for anyone looking for acrylics. Read Less

This little gem is tucked away near Coolidge Park and is my favorite nail salon in the city.The owners are incredibly friendly and do a wonderful job on your nails. They take great care and do not make you feel rushed. They always offer tea, water, or soda. They even sent me home with a special hand cream to use at no charge because my skin was so dry.You'll leave feeling special and like you definitely got your money's worth out of any visit to this nail salon! First time here and it will not be my last! I had an appt with Dell, not only did he listen to what I wanted but he delivered more than I ever expected! I have very coarse, thick, long hair and he was able to transform in into soft and beautiful. The salon staff went over and beyond to make you feel relaxed and at home even though the salon was a bit crazy because of wedding parties. I typically do my own nails every other week, and have not set foot in a nail salon in close to two years. However, I wanted to treat myself to an afternoon mani/pedi to escape the whirlwind craziness of finals. I extensively reviewed Yelp and Google reviews to find a place close to my house and I decided to try out Le Park.Location-wise, this spot is close to downtown and there is ample parking close to the riverfront. Ok, that's a good start. I was kindly greeted by the owners (a husband/wife team, I believe) after having called to confirm an appointment approximately 30 minutes before and they showed me around and asked me to pick a polish. The shop itself was tiny and dimly lit with a polish selection that was entirely reds and bright pinks - few nude or earth tones. As I was hoping for a ballet pink mani I was really disappointed, but chose a light tan shade. I settled in to the pedicure tub and was treated to a rushed, inconsistent and sub-par service. I received a brief "massage" and then my feet were over-buffed, causing cuts which bled. The woman who was conducting this pedicure was visibly shaky throughout the whole process, and I noticed that she made a point of turning off the overhead light right before she painted my toes. This was confusing to me as I thought better lighting would be preferable, but I trusted her judgement as she was the trained nail technician. I knew as it was happening that my pedicure was lousy - the technician was extremely jittery and did not paint all of my toes with the same number of coats. I figured I would give her the benefit of the doubt and if the pedicure was as bad as I suspected, I would come in at a later time to have it corrected because my afternoon was slipping by.The manicure, I'm happy to say, was an entirely different experience. The husband did an excellent job with my nails and took great care to properly shape them. The polish job was fantastic and he was good company. Very pleased.My total came to $41, which was a price inconsistent with the quality of service I received but I paid and tipped anyway. I stepped out of the door into the daylight and examined my toes and immediately regretted the entire experience despite my beautiful manicure. I did not realize how badly the female technician overbuffed my feet, but the heels and top of my feet were bright pink with several cuts that would scab painfully in the upcoming week. The polish itself was a disaster, there's no other way to put it. As I began the march home to tackle some work I called the salon and stated the issue and asked if there was another time I could come in to have it redone. The owners seemed to expect the call and were more than happy to correct the mistake, which I sincerely appreciated. Two days later I was back for a re-do and the gentleman handled my pedicure while the female technician attended to another customer. He did a phenomenal job and I was very pleased with the end result, but I should not have had to go back and the job should have been done right the first time. Furthermore, the discrepancy in quality between my manicure and pedicure was bizarre to say the least. Hate to be mean but probably one of the worst pedicures I've had :(. Feel like would have done a better job at home. They don't scrub your feet well. Yes I have some callouses but she acted like she had never seen a callous before. Usually when someone does a pedicure they scrub a pound of dead skin off and here, she barely scrapped them. When the callous came a bit ragged she got nervous and wanted to leave it like that. It was only after encouraging her to try a file (since she didn't have a pumice stone) did she try to get rid of the jagged edges. The painting was also poorly done, I could tell she was trying but she has a bit of a tremor and got it isn't the cuticle creases. Also with the cuticles... Barely took any off-- (probably because didn't let the feet soak (at all really)- my pinky toe easily over grows with cuticle and it looks like she just painted over the cuticle debris.Yes I'm probably picky given that I live in southern California where they scrub and polish your feet till they shine (for only $18!) but it's really not much more device than if you were to do it at home. I can see why the Google review said she was rude as I didn't like here abrasive approach but I think overall she was kind. She also took time to do the foot massage and although I was annoyed by the male trying to convince me I didn't know what I was talking about by saying I don't like gel, I think he was really trying to be helpful. If you're not picky I'm sure it's fine but I'm currently tempted to go get them redone elsewhere... Read Less

I really liked this place.  Paid an impromptu visit while on a last minute trip to Chattanooga.  My nails were a mess. Had some old acrylic underlay with some gel on top.  I had no appointment but they worked me in, gave me a bottled water, spoke perfect English and were very thorough and detailed.  My nails look beautiful now--despite walking in with lots of chips and breakage.  Added plus:  at the end of the gel manicure, they put lotions on my hands and spent time massaging my hands and pressure points.  I thought I'd fall asleep right then and there! For $16, the polish looks great. Odd process to the manicure though -  they didn't soak my nails in water until AFTER the filing & cuticle cutting. Not the normal route of any other manicure I've had (and I've had many), but I guess they do their own thing. The massage was less than great, but again, at the end of the day I am more concerned with the polish & cuticles than the actual manicure. WIth that being said, I am very pleased with the polish and have faith that it will last at least 1-2 weeks! The salon itself is very clean and I was helped right away.
