Just went for a manicure and pedicure for the first time and I had an absolutely wonderful experience. I went in for a gel manicure, but Lee explained the dip process and how it will help my nails grow and become stronger. I really appreciated the attention to detail, learning about the business and how they give back to the community (breast cancer fundraiser for example), as well as their clear skill and education in nail processes. Today was my first visit and I enjoyed the service. I was immediately greeted calmly by someone and assisted. I was served within 5 minutes of waiting. My manicurist Stacie was so kind, conversational, and took my input. My nails look incredible, and I've already gotten a ton of compliments. I had the best pedicure here a week ago. Mind you, I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and Sam (my tech) was gentle and made it such a relaxing experience. I treated myself to the "deluxe jelly spa pedicure" and I loved how it turned the water into a jello-like peppermint scented solution which help keep in the warmth while my feet soaked. Fantastic work, super friendly folks!Having visited 4 times over a year and a half ( would go more but live 2 hrs away) they all have done pedicures on my wife, daughter and myself.I personally have had a different tech each time and all were good. ALL nail salons have wait times, so Don't complain if You can't wait (I had to leave another place a month ago because I just didn't have time to wait). So let me preference by saying my pedicure experience when I finally was seen was a 4/5. Sam my technician did a fantastic job but I knocked off a star because I was told they would get with me shortly but I sat in the pedicure chair soaking for 20 plus minutes, and the water had gotten cold before someone came to do my toes. I also took another star off because there does not seem to be much unity but more animosity between the clinicians. For example, I found a color on Pinterest and showed Sam my technician and she asked her colleague if they could find this color for her since she wasn't seeing a client. She instead said no, that if she could do it herself because she had to clean 5 of the pedicure chairs first. Also another technician had asked why there were so many towels on one pedicure chair and another girl says she's just been too busy she couldn't do it. I guess that threw me off because usually it's always client satisfaction first but so be it. Also how I was finally seen I believe is that I started to stare at my watch because it was 1200 at this time and I had a 1pm appointment. I had gotten here roughly around 1130. A technician then whispered to Judy I believe the owner what I believe is that someone needs to see me, because I honestly thought of leaving. Judy who was cleaning up around the store instead of doing my toes then took over sam's client who she was seeing and Sam started on me. I'm not sure why, but Sam was fantastic so I can't complain. She was gentle and thorough and didn't rush on anything. In addition after I was done, it was about 1245 so they told me I could leave and just turn my air conditioner on in my car. Let me phrase that my toes are still wet at this time. As soon as I get into my car my big toe somehow hit something and smeared and I had to go back in. Sam redid them but forgot to put the top coat on it. I didn't notice until after I left. I have never left with wet toes before and I don't recommend that anyone does that. In addition they never asked what type of pedicure I would want, so they lost extra money there, and I ALWAYS get a design on my toes but they never once brought It up either. Overall, I'm torn if I'll be back. Four friends and I all went in around noon on a Saturday, expecting them to be really busy and rushed. We called ahead to make sure they had room for us, and we were not disappointed when we arrived. I'm so glad I found an awesome nail shop in Chattanooga. I'm from Houston and travel for work so I was a little nervous about finding a shop out here. I had no choice and needed my nails done before a wedding in New Orleans. They waited for me to get off work and stayed after the shop had closed. I was sure they would've left already by the time I made it, but they were there and very gracious the whole time. I get my real nails dipped and I love it. Think fairy dust making your nails nice and hard, but beautiful and not all thick like acrylic makes nails. I'm glad I went with the reviews and my second time was even better than the first. This is the only nail salon my wife Caitlin will go to. I've visited with her on a few occasions while she gets her nails done. Each time everyone is really nice. There has never been an issue with me waiting for her there. This time we went my wife talked me into getting a manicure and pedicure for myself. I'm always willing to try something once. Miss Judy took care of me the entire time. Spent a ton of extra time buffering my unkempt nails and feet til they were up to her perfectionist standards. I came out of there feeling like a pampered prince. I'm not once for conversation during haircuts and other things but she made it very easy to converse and cracked some very funny jokes throughout the process always making me feel comfortable. If you're a woman I'd say this place is amazing. My wife loves it and this is the only place in Chattanooga she will go. If you're a guy and have been curious about nail and feet care beyond what you can do at home. I suggest keep an open mind and come on down to Judys Nails. I have been going to the same nail salon for over a year. I am very particular about my nails so finding a new nail salon when I moved was a little scary. Even though the salon was busy when I got there, they were very accommodating and were able to see me in a timely manner. Lee did my manicure and did a great job. I originally had a set of acrylics that I needed removed and planned on getting a new set. He told me about other, more beneficial, options for my already brittle nails. Lee did a beautiful gel powder manicure (I recommend the color "Make Me Blush). He was very friendly and knows what he is doing. The salon itself is very clean and has a very friendly environment. It is a little on the pricey side but I think it's worth it for a quality manicure. I will definitely be going back! Read Less

This salon is incredibly clean and the staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating! My boss took 14 staff members to have mani/pedis. Our experience has been one for the books. Everything was done in a timely manner and not rushed. All of our, ever changing, needs were met. Every lady has had nothing but good things to say and so proud of their nails. I was very disappointed, because I had done research to try and find a nice salon in Chattanooga. The salon was very nice & clean inside, and the staff was friendly. However, my gel manicure was just terrible. When the girl was done with my nails I could still see the color of my nail through the polish and there were bubbles, uneven spots, and spots with no top coat on every nail. She also left polish on the skin around my nails. I was not satisfied, so I asked the girl if she could add an extra coat to make the polish darker and fix all the unevenness- she agreed that it needed fixed. She added an extra coat which made the color darker, but did nothing to fix the bubbles and all the spots without top coat. Needless to say it was money wasted as I took the manicure off a few days later because it did not look good. Read Less

Really disappointed in the treatment my better half got today at Judy's.  I got her a gift certificate for her birthday.  I told Judy at the time that my wife usually gets sub par treatment at nail salons.  She said not to worry, that she personally would take care of my wife when she came in and it would be perfect.  Great.  I think when you pay good money for a pedicure, you should get your money's worth.  Right?  Right.  We went in today at a slow time.  We were the only people there.  She had told me that her husband, Lee, was a Hixson High grad, so I chatted him up, and we talked about how good the Alma Mater used to be and how it sucks today.  They seemed really nice.  So I felt good about things. But for some reason, Judy didn't take care of my wife.  I don't know why, because we were the only people there.  We didn't have an appointment, but still, we were the only people there.  Judy was working on the books and then actually went to take a nap in a back room.  The person who did my wife's pedicure and manicure did a below average job.  As is the case at most nail places, they are in a rush to get you out of there.  Lots of cuticle on her finger nails still.  I mean, come on.  Taking a star away because they broke their promise that Judy would take care of my wife.  And for the love of God, why does every nail place play the '80s music?  Not the good '80s music, but the most depressing '80s music ever made?  Why?  Also, they charge you $1 here for any credit card charge under $20!  We've not had that happen to us at Annie's or other places in town.  Another star off for that nonsense.  Needless to say, we will not come back here. I really loved the people here, they were kind and accommodating! I was in town visiting a friend for her wedding, and three of us went to get our nails done the evening before the big day. They allowed us to sit all together, so that we could continue to catch up after not seeing each other for years!Unfortunately there were several things that really marred the experience. When clipping my cuticles, I got cut very badly. My thumb has been bleeding on and off for 3 days.
