Depends on what tech you get. Some are in a hurry and do lousy work. I️ attached a photo. Nana was in such a hurry at 4 pm when they close at 6pm, she cut my skin open doing my pedicure. For a while there, I was about to give up on getting my nails done bc I couldn't find anyone that I liked. Then I came here and haven't turned back since. Jessica and Julie are both great nail techs. Julie is able to fit me in last minute so she's been my go to lately. Both girls are very personable and sitting there for the 30ish min isn't ever awkward. My go to is always the gel 'taupeless beach' from OPI and if not that, then 'you don't know jack'. Simple, I know....but it goes with almost everything. Will not be returning. I came in with 2 other ladies as apart of a bridal party, on a very busy night. We came in for a manicure and basic pedicure for the wedding that weekend. The bride needed a powder dip manicure redone. As we were waiting our turn it was nearing closing time, yet they continued to see people, rushing as much people as they could in and out of the store. As soon as someone's color was put on, they would rush you to the drying station insisting they would put the clear coat on over there. While half of my party were waiting on our nails to dry, the bride was getting her nails done. The technician rushed the job, creating bubbles in the polish and would not take the time to do a good job. When the bride politely pointed that out, he insisted it was the color and started to get loud with her. At wich point she told him to just take it all off and she would pay for the service and leave. He threw his hands up and began to talk about her in another language. She is close to tears at this point because these nails were for her wedding! The manager did try to console her but the nail tech that did her nails started yelling, "She doesnt like the color, and wants me to take them all off" when he finally agreed to take it off he did not do a thorough job taking off the polish, leaving glue on her nail beds. I wanted all white nails. She told me my nails would be $50, which is more expensive than what I'm used to but I have seen a few other places charge that much so that wasn't the issue. She then said it would be $5 dollars more for white nails. WHAT? I asked why and she said because the white powder is more expensive. There is no way that it is that much more expensive that you need to charge every customer that gets white nails 5 dollars extra. As I said, I've been getting my nails done this way for years and probably get white just about every other set and have NEVER been charged extra. Aside from that, I made an appointment at one so I could get my nails done on my lunch break. My nails are usually done in about an hour or less so I figured I would be fine. Wrong. When I came at one. The person who was going to be doing my nails was doing another employee's nails so I had to wait until that was done. It wasn't too long but when you're on a time schedule every minute counts. That's why I made an appointment. Then actually getting my nails done was probably the slowest and longest it's ever taken. Way longer than an hour. Ofcourse I don't want the nail tech to rush. But another lady came in after I was already started, sat next to me, also got the dip system and was done and gone long before I was. She was also very rough on my natural nails causing one to break and two to chip. I got tips on those but I'm probably going to have to end up cutting them down next set. Lastly, they don't do the dip system correctly. I'm very familiar with the correct process. They added a gel top coat and used UV lights. I am the pickiest person when it comes to my nails, but Mimi is the BEST. Pays so much attention to detail. Never leaves any gaps or bumps. I've tried others but she's the best. Go and ask for Mimi, you won't regret it! Read Less

I chose this salon because I was also getting a blow out next door for my birthday. I was pleasantly surprised! It was hands down the best manicure that I have ever received. They gave a shoulder massage with the manicure! The staff were all very friendly and the environment was clean and relaxing. I will only go back to this salon in the future. Read Less

The staff was very nice and did a good job. I had the viva pedi and a gel mani. Both turned out well. My only negative is that I was told the gel color I chose for my mani had a perfect match regular polish for my toes. When they showed it to me I commented that it looked lighter than the gel and I was told it's exactly the same color. Once there were both done I could tell my toes are definitely lighter than my fingers. I like both colors, but just wish it was what I'd thought I was getting. It seems that most places don't have matching colors anymore which is disappointing. Read Less

Wow! I have been to Nail Salons in six states and Viva Nails rocks them all! I called for directions and the man answering my call was courteous and spoke excellent English. Upon entering, I was greeted politely and escorted to the pedicure station. Beverage offerings include: water, red wine, white wine and carbonated cold drinks. My bag was hung up on a cute hook beside me while I sat down. The lady performing the service was quiet (such a relief-I talk all day at my job!!) and thorough.The salon is convenient to the Maryland Farms area as well as the Old Hickory areas. Moved to Nashville about a month ago now and have been looking for a good nail shop since I got here. Two weeks ago I went to this other shop near edmondson & old hickory and they over charged me by $20 for terrible work. My nails chipped and broke within a day after paying them $85. Yesterday I decided to try out another new place (I was very hesitant but needed my nails done really bad). Before I came here, I googled and yelped all nail shops in Brentwood to find the best ones. At first I was worried bc of old reviews of this shop but still decided to give it a try. Apparently they have recently changed owners and man let me tell you... Best pedicure and shellac nails I have had yet!!! Ruby was excellent. The moment I walked in she was so polite and helpful. She didn't even look at me funny when I asked for a price list lol (most places do and are judgy when you ask). She made great casual conversation and made me feel welcomed the whole time!! I was also offered a free beverage - which I chose a glass of white wine. And my pedicure... AMAZING. I have feet problems due to breaking my leg a few years back. Although I got the basic pedicure she still massaged each foot/leg for about 10 minutes each. Ruby also did my nails. They look flawless. they have sooooo many gel colors - it was almost impossible to choose. Their tables are the really cool ones with the built in UV light things for gel. I will be back again. Prompt and friendly service. I keep coming back because I am always so relaxed when I leave here. Last time I came, I got an amazing neck and shoulder massage that almost put me to sleep. 1 star off because it is slightly rushed feeling, and I don't like the nail techs yelling at each other across the salon in Vietnamese. This place is so hit or miss.Today the lady that did my eyebrow took most of it off so one of my eyebrows is so short! Thankfully it's hair and it will grow back. Staff seemed pleasant enough but did not give me the service I requested and was charged for. I paid $60 for the deluxe pedi, was not given the paraffin wax, callus removal, or the extra massage in the description. Service received was barely above the basic pedicure. I think I'm being more than fair at 3 stars... I picked only 2 originally, but I'm still mad. So... To be a bit more fair, I'll give 3. Everything was basically great. I got a pedicure and aside from the woman being a little harsh on the skin on my toes, I really enjoyed it. Until I saw the paint on my toes had very visible streaks. They gladly fixed it. But she didn't REALLY fix it. The streaks are less visible now, but still there and the paint looks very messy around my cuticles. I've never had a complaint about a pedi or a mani anywhere before. How can you let someone out of your salon with toes that look so sloppy? Never going back. Not recommended if you want even, clean, streak free polish.Oh, and I had to just edit this because after touching my feet, they are rough and feel shredded on the little callous on my toe. Luckily for me, I can use my own pumice stone to smooth it out. Waste of money. Read Less

Have been using them for almost 6 months and I will NOT be back. The gel continuously chips and peels off within 7-10 days and it's $30+ just for polish! The pedicures have turned my toenails YELLOW!!! They haven't used base coat and another nail salon (back in my home state) mentioned it to me that my nails are turning yellow and that is why. In addition to this every pedicure I have had here is not great quality. I leave covered in oil with rough feet. I mean the run the pumice over my foot once. I have calluses on my toes and they say they don't need to be pumiced. Okay. I've had pedicures where top coat isn't even on half of the nail. Not great quality and no customer service for a lot of money honestly. Read Less

Do NOT go to Viva Nails - the do not honor their own gift cards. Horrible customer service!In May my husband purchased a $40 gift card for me at Viva Nails. I waited until August - of the same year - to use the gift card and had a pedicure ($35) and a eyebrow wax ($12). The pedicure and the eyebrow waxing were below average - I will write more about their quality below - but the customer service at Viva is horrible. After the procedures I gave them the gift card and was told after the gift card that I owed $42 and that there was only $5 on the card. I explained that the card was a gift from my husband, and presented them with he receipt that they gave him that goes with every gift card confirming that the actual amount is in the card. The confirmation receipt read $40. The woman I was dealing with - who later identified herself as the manager - said that I must have previously come to their store and used the card. She refused to honor the card. When I asked to speak to another manager, she refused. When I asked to speak to the owner, she refused.Eventually a male employee - who I suspect is the owner - said he would check into it. His fix was for me to pay for the $12 eyebrow wax and that he "would pay for the $35 pedicure himself." With no other option, I paid the $12. 1) If a business offers gift cards, and provides a receipt to prove that the gift card has a certain amount on it, then they should honor their card. 2) The behavior of the manager was unacceptable and unprofessional. The quality of their work - all prior to the gift card debacle:- The pedicure was below average. The leg and foot massage was not a massage, but a light stoking of my legs and feet. - She used a bottom coat, two coats of color and NO top coat. What?- The eyebrow wax... My eyebrows don't match each other and are not symmetrical. I will never return to their establishment. There are plenty of other salons in the Brentwood area! Read Less

Went  (as a walk in) for my first time today to get a "pink & white". I've gone to Signature recently, and was hoping to find a place closer to where I live. A lady (who seemed like the boss) acted like I was completely inconveniencing her, sat me down and began with the dremmel tool thing. (I am ok with the dremmel, and haven't had a bad experience before at Signature or the place in Bellevue I used to go to) The Boss lady nicked two of my cuticles with it - to the point of bleeding, with no apologies!! Half way through, she passed me off to a man who did the rest - and confirmed that that woman was indeed the boss, he was more gentle than The Boss lady, but he still nicked my thumb! At least he acknowledged it, apologized and applied a gel or something that I guess was supposed to help.... It's been an hour since I left, and my fingers are still achy at the cuticle!! I also heard The Boss lady talking rudely to a woman who admitted that she had never had a manicure before and was asking a lot of questions... Skip this joint and go to Signature!! Had a great pedicure experience here, and for only $30. The entire staff was nice and helpful - had a great selection of OPI colors and more. Appeared VERY clean. The setup is nice, very relaxing chairs - the best I've ever been in. Pedicure includes nail polish removal, cleaning, a lengthy calf and foot massage, hot towels and new polish.
