BEWARE! I am writing this poor review on behalf of a relative of mine who had to seek medical attention after receiving a manicure at this establishment. Shortly after having a powder dip manicure done at Serenity, my relative (who is too embarrassed to write up a review herself) started feeling discomfort in her nails. After a few days, she returned to Serenity to have the manicure removed. A strange milky colored bubble on her nails was visible. However, the nail tech said nothing and did not seem alarmed. The raised discoloration on her nails became increasingly more painful and unsightly over the next few days. It escalated to the point where medical attention was needed. An anti fungal prescription was given by her doctor, along with the advice to not return to Serenity. The doctor also advised her to not be alarmed if the nails end up “falling off.” This kind of medical issue should never be a concern to someone just wanting to get a simple manicure. After paying a hefty medical bill, my relative has plans to return to Serenity as soon as possible to demand a refund. Not only did this result in money lost on both the manicure itself and the cost for medical care, this issue caused physical pain and negativity effected my relative’s job, as typing for hours a day is crucial to her job description. It was dusty and dirty, I had to lift my arms and hands away from table after my manicure to keep the pieces of nail dust and who knows what else from sticking to me. I could feel the grit on the table. Now one week later my gel manicure is peeling. Not happy Read Less

This is the second time I've been to this location.  I got a full set put on the first time.  It was not well done, very thick, the polish chipped off by the end of the afternoon (right after getting them done), and my left pinky nail popped off almost completely within 7 days. But I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt by going back a second time (thinking it was maybe just the first nail tech, etc.), especially since I was able to get in right away over my lunch.  I went again today for a fill-in and decided on gel polish this time, since the polish chipped so quickly last time.  $47 later...  A fill-in is $18.  Somehow, just putting gel polish on my nails was $29 extra.  I did NOT get a manicure. My nails were not cut down.  No nail art. I'm not understanding the math.  And my nails are very thick (again), which I expressed that I did NOT want.  I do want to say this: the man who did them was very nice and polite, and the polish looks fine.  However, I WILL NOT be back, and I'm VERY disappointed by what I was charged for this service. Worst experience. Paint all over my fingers that she didn't bother to clean off. She talked and giggled the entire time- especially when I told her she hadn't filed one of my hands yet. My tech left to go answer work phone, work the checkout and even made multiple personal phone calls. I will not be back.  She barely let me soak, barely trimmed cuticles, got lotion on my shirt and did a half a$$ job at the massage. She was so distracted and obviously didn't want to be there. I never write bad reviews but I am writing this because I was definitely overcharged. I know I should have gone back and discussed it with her but I did not want to cause a scene in front of other customers. I got a manicure and a pedicure, and she specifically asked what pedicure I wanted and I said the basic one, which on the chart she gave me it said it was $18. Then I got a regular manicure with gel. I know the gel was more expensive but my total price came out to be $63 which I calculated over and over and there is no way it should have been that expensive. I went here during my lunch break at work. I was seen right a way which is a positive. The gentleman that worked on me was gentle and also nice. This is a positive. It did not take long to finish, which is also a positive. I have issues with my thumb and middle finger, not even 1 hour after leaving my paint was completely lifted and was half way painted, also from my pedicure there was a lot of  callous as if they did nothing at all to that area. I returned after to work to explain and show them my nails and heels, and one of the workers or owners tells me to sit and wait. No apology for it not being done correctly the first time or anything. The guy who first did my nails correct, but he was rough with taking off the gel acrylic and seemed to be in an attitude while removing callous. I paid 63.00 plus tip for my gel mani and basic pedicure, i expect it to be performed right the first time, especially for them to be in the center of Brentwood! I will never visit again. Read Less

Love love love my lashes! I am very active outdoors and sick of using mascara to feel a little feminine while hiking CO's summits and camping! My lash extensions are AMAZING and have cut down my morning routine. No more trying to apply mascara in the tent! The price is just as amazing. Highly recommend these fabulous ladies! Read Less

This is always my go-to place for pedicures and/or gel manicures, and I've never been let down. I come here about every 2-3 weeks. I'm never able to schedule something, so I always do a walk-in. I have rarely had to wait long for a chair. Sometimes if there is a wait for a technician, they will still put me in a pedi chair so I get a chair massage and foot soak while I wait. I had had several different nail techs through the years, and each has been friendly and professional. I've never had the need to come back for a re-touch, and my pedis and gel manis last weeks. The worst gel nail job I've ever had. They were uneven, see through, and poor quality in general. They peeled right off 3 days after getting them done. Service was awkward and unfriendly. The table and equipment they were using did not look clean. My friend and I made the grave mistake of going here. Will never make that mistake again. Read Less

It's hit and miss here. Often times when they are busy they are in a hurry to churn people out and do not do a great job.  For example, properly cutting and trimming cuticles.  More often than not I walk out wishing I had not spent the money as I could have done a better job at home. Read Less

I go to Serenity in belle Meade. Currently getting a pedicure here in Brentwood and the guy is clueless- no training, my feet are not clean, management needs to train people not on customers.... Total waste of time but I need fresh polish so sitting here. Total waste Read Less

Ordinarily,  the service I receive here is  decent, maybe worthy of 3 stars. Yesterday,  the service was deplorable.  I went for a pedicure and manicure. The nail technician did the bare minimum when giving me a pedicure. Essentially, I received  a glorfied polish change.  He did not bother to exfoliate the skin on the bottom of my feet.  Later, while I was receiving a manicure, I told him that my feet felt very dry and rough on the bottom. He offered lotion for ME to apply.   I asked whether they shave the bottom of the feet and he said no.  When he walked away, the  nail technician beside him said she would do it if I came again.  This was confusing because there should be consistency either this service is offered  or it is  not. Especially if they are all charging the same price.  A lady who was being serviced beside me said that the nail salon beside Publix in Brentwood  does use the razor. The technician offered $3 off of the price. He said next time someone WOULD use the razor. Later, I told him I would speak with a manager.  I went to the restroom and came out and he pointed to a buddy and said, "He is the manager, talk to him." The "manager" said that as of the beginning of the year, the rule is that they cannot use the razor,  which is the reason it was not done.   Hmm, then why did the technician tell me that someone would do it next time?  I know that the razor is unsafe especially if they are reusing it.  Good salons will use a new blade for each customer. If they do not shave, they at least exfoliate the skin using other means.He took only $5 off of the price. Now, I still have to go and get a pedicure elsewhere!!   I wasn't even offered a bottle of water!!!VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Got a pedicure she charged me $33, it was so basic and seemed rushed. Didn't massage my feet or legs, I wanted a French tip with this sparkly color and she said she couldn't do that so she just painted my whole nails in the color, and didn't do that great of a job. When she was finished I still had dead skin on my feet:( very disappointed with the pedicure. Then I wanted gel nails which I had never gotten before, I was confused and told her a little after she started I wanted acrylic with gel on top, she said repeatedly she was annoyed with me, in a joking way but I could tell she really was, it took forever and they do look nice but it ended up being $86 all together. My wife had a terrible experience here. We arrived here with 2 other friends, wanting a pedicure all together. So we waited about 15 min, which was acceptable because we were a group and wanted to sit as a group. 3 of us were served while my wife just sat there as 3 other customers arrived, sat, and had their nails started before my wife was even offered so much as a drink. 3 of us in our party all had our nails long started before my wife and waited about 20 min before she was finished. Her nails were done in a rush and incomplete as if that would make the problem better. I asked for a discount because of the discrepancy in service and no apologies what so ever. We received $3 off. Needless to say we will never return. Btw it was around 1:30 pm when we arrived and there were 3 customers and about 10 employees. Go here if you want poor service and sub par nails. Read Less

Didn't care for this place too much. Average service for an above average price. Maybe it's the area. I come in from out of town on business and all the salons I've been to so far seem expensive. Anyway this place is large and although I didn't have to wait and the technician was nice enough, I prefer a more personalized experience. Read Less

I don't give many 5 star reviews and I don't give 5 stars unless the experience is 5 star worthy!!  I walked out of Whole Foods and thought I'd try this salon.   I got a basic pedicure ($28).  I enjoy soaking my feet in the water before the nail technician begins so I asked if I could.  They allowed me to soak for longer than I had expected and it was amazing! I love hot water- and appreciated the steaming hot water and constant checks to see if I needed more hot water.  It was foot bath heaven!The massage chairs are a plus as well.  They appear to be relatively new and clean!!  The massage I received while sitting was better than the massage I paid for at Massage Envy yesterday in Franklin.... ok back to the story, ask for Tip.  She took care of my feet, was very thorough, and all around amazing! I wanted to rest and enjoy a relaxing experience and she allowed me to do just that by not asking me any questions - other than those related to ways she could make my experience more enjoyable.  The foot massage was excellent!! Tip was patient and gave each leg a long soothing massage.  Usually I ask if I can pay extra for a longer foot massage.  It wasn't necessary because I received above and beyond in the foot massage department.I also enjoyed the music selection and the water fountain... very therapeutic ambiance and clean salon! Really peaceful.I highly recommend this salon. Most painful pedicure that I've ever had. Instead of clipping my cuticles, simply picked them off with the tool that you typically push the cuticle down with. Clipped my toenails too short and when filing them, the pain was excruciating. I paid for the most expensive pedicure (about 50 bucks) and the technician seem hurried and completed it within 30 minutes. Put the callus soak on, which I paid extra for, and dipped them right back in the water. You're supposed to let it sit for a couple of minutes. I'll never return and if suggest you never visit the one in Brentwood. My feet and toes are still in pain and there was nothing relaxing about this experience. Read Less

I just had the BEST pedicure of my life today at Serenity! Not only was the place immaculate inside, but the lady who did my pedi was the most friendly, skilled tech I have ever had! She not only carried on a friendly conversation with me, but her treatment was fabulous!!! She actually used a razor on my rough heels - first person to even ask if I wanted this treatment since I moved to Nashville over a year ago! I got a Shellac pedicure and I think it's going to live up to all the hype. My toes are sooo pretty now! Give Serenity a try - you WON'T be disappointed! Read Less
