A friend told me about this place maybe 6 months ago, so I gave it a try. I have been hooked ever since and now this is the only place I go. Paula is who I had my first time, and I love her! I now ask for her each time. Super friendly and her experience shows. I do shellac nails and they last me 3 weeks! I've been going here since I moved to SD a year ago and I'm done giving them my service. Last night I went and max didn't even try- my nails look TERRIBLE. They always fall off or become loose within a week. Why I paid 50 dollars for ugly, quickly done nails is beyond me! I do not recommend this place unless you want crooked, lazily painted nails! The cleanest nail salon you will ever be in. Although it may be a few dollars more expensive than your typical strip mall nail salon. It's worth it. The owners and their staff are always polite and accommodating. I had my nails done with a big group for my wedding and they let us come in before hours to take care of us. My first time visiting there yesterday! Although they were very friendly and talkative I felt very welcome there I wasn't to pleased spending $70 and having the work done that I did. The design on my toe looks like a 3 year old drew it. And my nails I had to file when I got home they were snagging on everything. The fingernail polish doesn't even cover my whole entire nails. It definitely wasn't worth the money that I spent and for driving over an hour away I don't think I'll go back. My first experience at Luxicure was great! I was very pleased with my pedicure, probably one of the best I've ever had. I had decided to get a gel manicure since I work in the dental field I'm always washing my hands. I had my nails done Friday and it's now Monday and my gel manicure is already peeling. I'm pretty disappointed. I was told they guarantee their work so I'm hoping to call tomorrow and make an appointment to have my gel manicure redone sometime this week. Read Less

I've been looking all over for a great nail salon, and I finally found it! Lyna was excellent - I get acrylic nails with gel polish - my nails are perfect and she shaped them beautifully. She was so awesome, too - very nice to chat with and did such a great job with my nails. Plus, the gel is guaranteed for 10 days - if you chip, etc. they will fix it! The gel polish selection is insane - I've never seen so many colors anywhere else. The salon is extremely clean, the staff is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. This is the best nail shop I have ever been to. The pedicure spa was amazing. The place is sooooo clean and smells great!! The customer service was extra ordinary. This is my nail spa! I specially love the touchless things in the bathroom. So organized and so neat. Very relaxing. My technician had very light hands. I was falling asleep because I was so relaxed. They put plastic liners in the pedicure tub. There was special lighting too. I also love that they offer water bottles. My official review of Luxicure. (Same shopping center as WalMart and Burlington Coat Factory). Very clean and modern. Soothing ambiance, no cheesy photos of women with claws for nails holding a strand of pearls, the steering wheel of a luxury car or a rose (laugh all you want, you know what I mean). All the staff was very friendly upon arrival. I was given bottled water upon sitting in the pedicure chair. Chairs are all new with multi function massage! They have the most ext...ensive selection of gel polishes I've ever seen. And each polish is sampled on several rings. This is wonderful because you can't see the actual color of most gel polishes with out opening the bottle. They carry several lines of gel and the bonus is, one line in particular has matching "regular" polish for your pedicure so they match exactly. The tools for my pedicure were sealed in their own baggie. None of the using the clippers then spraying them down with the blue chemical and wiping with a paper towel for the next person. I upgraded to the "spa" pedicure. Pricey, but very relaxing. 5 different packets of stuff they massage into your legs and feet. It was an hour of luxury massage!. Technicians were all friendly and chatty. It was easy to communicate with them. Gel manicure came with a wonderful hand AND arm massage. I left with a small bag of take home tools. Pumice bar, wood dowel for cleaning under nails/pushing back cuticles and nail file. Finally, upon paying, I was given a card with my techs name (Kathy) and the date I was in for service. I was if my gel manicure chips, lifts etc. anytime with in two weeks of getting it done, to come back in, show the card and they would fix at no charge. Their prices were a bit higher then where I usually go, but not by much. However, lots of value added service for the price. So if you haven't tried Luxicure, give it a shot. I know I'll be back.
