I got the deluxe spa pedicure in 20 minutes. I had to ask them to trim my cuticles twice. The guy I had was also very rough while trimming them. The "hot" towels were luke warm and then he proceeded to "smack" the towels after applied. No lotion was put on my legs or feet after. They add a fee for using a credit card over $20 amount. So... where to even start.. omg. Everytime I have come to this place the women who do my nails are rude. They are short with me, do not listen if I express a concern, and seem to know their work is terrible. Yet they don't care? Lol. The other week I went to a new salon to try out. The man in the salon told me he knew the manager of the princess nails personally. He told me and I QUOTE, "The manager tells their workers to pay attention to the clothes the women wear and if they carry expensive handbags, etc. and to charge them accordingly." Saying they charge "based on how rich a person looks." I am baffled. Not only did I pay 70 dollars here for a full set (which is over priced anyways). The nail polish was all over the base of my nail, they destroyed my cuticles. They were bleeding for a week. Usually they don't do my cuticles at all. Theres no in between. Not to mention she used THE DRILL to take off my cuticle. No oil. No gently pushing back. Nope. There's no in between here. When I told her I wanted short nails, she somehow convinced me I needed long nails instead and did not mention it was a extra. Just added it onto my bill. She did. The same with the glitter polish. I didn't tip her and she had the guts to be rude about it. "You didn't complain during." Um.. me telling you you're being too rough, the shape is wrong, the color is wrong, "IT HURTS" etc. isn't me complaining? Girl bye. Spend your money elsewhere. They are not sanitary at all. They do not sterilize any tools they will place the used pedicure equipment in their basket that says clean supplies and place it back at their station. While I was sitting there waiting to get a pedicure I noticed this from at least three different nail techs and I chose to leave. I have had my nails done there before but was always seated and the tech would come with the basket so that said clean supplies so I never gave it much thought but after having to wait because they were busy I was just observing and thought to myself no way I was going to knowingly allow them to use dirty equipment on me and I left. This place is awful! I went to get a full set done on a whim because I was in the area. I figured it'd just be easier to do them around where I was shopping. I wish I had waited! It looks really upscale at first, but the more you look around, the more you realize that it's a facade. When I was looking at colors I was asked to stop looking and was handed a color wheel. When I sat down I felt rushed. She didn't cut my cuticles which clearly needed done. She kept trying to push the gel on me and I just didn't want it. When you go to wash your hands, you can't tell which towels are clean and which are dirty. There were just two piles of towels. I also got a pedicure and it was mediocre. The massage lasted about 30 seconds. They didn't really do anything about the dry skin on my feet. I get it in one particular spot and she didn't even do much to it. She didn't talk to me unless it was about trying to up sell. At the end she asked if she could get in my wallet to get my payment. I didn't like that. It could've waited until the very end. Even if she would've asked me to do it instead of reaching down and asking me, I wouldn't have minded. My nails popped off in a week. The pedicure lasted about the same. Save your money!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone. My nails literally look worst than they did when i arrived. My nail tech rushed my nails, a full set in about 10 min. When i spoke to the manger she was very rude and told me if i like my nails a certain way to go to another nail salon. Horrible buisness! Read Less

I went in today, and immediately tried to walk back out because they seemed so busy. Most women go to the nail salon as a relaxation thing & I had my 6 month old so I didn't want to bother anyone. Randy immediately tells me "come back in here & sit down" he tells me that I won't wait more than 5 minutes. Of course I didn't believe it, but that's true. I didn't. And he did such an amazing job! I just moved here and I used to have a nail tech that was extremely personable and friendly! I had Tara at Princess nails and she was NOT personable. She never introduced herself, put my nails in aluminum foil put her earphones back in her ears to watch her movie. She then went so fast I couldn't even dry my nails under the LED light twice. Now my nails have chipped and look terrible and I JUST got them done on Thursday ( it's now Monday). I will not be going back to this establishment. Read Less

2nd time there. Will not returnOver priced, not clean, and very unprofessional environment. The staff doesn't seem to actually listen to what you're asking, they kind of just do whatever they want. Too busy chatting with eachother and trying to rush through the job. Thankfully there are a hundred other salons around. If this was the only place in the lowcountry, I still wouldn't return. Horrible! First off I would like to note the the man who seemed to be the owner was very nice. However, my guy put on a full set in 15-20 min. He rushed so much they were all different lengths and sizes. On top of that when I told him he didn't fix them and acted like he didn't know whatI was saying. Love this place!! I moved to Summerville eight months ago and tried four different nail salons in the area prior to Princess Nails. I'm officially a regular! My nails come out perfect every single time. I won't give you the name of my nail technician because I don't want her to book up way more then she is. My nails are medium length, I get a layer of pink gel on my nails as a wrap (to prevent breakage - I also don't like the idea of soaking and filing the natural nail every single visit). My nails are then finished with a gel polish. Personally, I get gel color because I hate waiting to dry. Oh and I get my pedicure first with regular polish so while the technician is do my manicure my toes are drying. Great to know: The salon has preset matches of regular polish and gel polish so you always match.As a side note, I'm originally from NYC there is a nail salon on every other block so the competition is super high and the end result expectations are also very high so the shop owners know if the finished product isn't good you won't return and then you'll try the salon a block over. We were able to get in on a Friday afternoon for a pedi immediately.  The dude doing my pedi didn't really seem interested in being there.  I had to ask for more pressure when he was rubbing my feet/legs and even then he didn't really apply more pressure.  At $28 for a pedi only, I was hoping for more, honestly.  More exfoliation, more massage, more soaking.. just more.  That said, he did at least paint my ENTIRE nail, which I've noticed a lot of places fail to do. You get the same thing done on each visit and the price continues to climb or you get someone that isn't listening and performs services you don't want and then they expect you to pay for it when you were saying no the entire time. I was very disappointed with this place. I called to make an appointment and the lady on the phone was nice. However, when I arrived I was greeted by a VERY RUDE Randy. He asked what service I wanted and I explained that I wanted a polish. When I asked to see the bottle (because the colors are often different in the bottle than on the sample), he proceeded to berate me and speak to me in a condescending manner. When I told him that I thought he was being rude, he laughed and said he wasn't being rude. I continued to try to explain my point of view and why I needed to see the bottle. After several minutes, I explained that I was leaving and taking my business elsewhere. I was a regular customer to Randy and was happy but when I would go there and he wasn't there it was so unenjoyable. Once a couple of the male technicians argued with one another to the point where the customers were apologizing and the women were trying to calm one of the guys down. Really?!?! Then the last straw for me was when I went for a fill and the man that was doing my nails kept on filing my one finger and it started to burn. I told him that I wasn't sure if he realized but my finger was filed down and it was starting to hurt. He got mad and told me I was too sensitive and started drilling again and guess what My NAIL STARTED BLEEDING!!! I was like it's bleeding and pulled my hand away and then he got mad at me and said he wouldn't finish with me I would have to wait 40 min for another person to finish as he didn't want to deal with me!!
