So Magic Nails in North Charleston (North Pointe Plaza) has called the police on my friend, my daughter, and her girls because my daughter's nails look at a hot mess. The polish is horrible and they are crooked. They refuse to fix them or give her a refund. Even the customers agreed they look horrible. $35 for this mess!! They charged her and extra $5 for the length and $5 for the shape. The police came and said we would have to take them to civil court which of course is not worth it. This is why I personally don't deal with those people! They took advantage of the fact that she was a child and this is why I stress to my daughter to never pay for anything if it isn't right!! Waste of time and money! Went there on the 12th. Got a French mani & pedi done with gel polish on my natural nails along with an eyebrow wax. Left spending $92. Since then the gel polish came off of 1 finger the very next day, went back got it redone for free on the 14th. Now today the 15th on 2 other fingers the gel polish has came off so now I'll have to go back for them to be fixed once again. Such an inconvenience they will never get my business again! Read Less

So first off...we went to this salon because we where in the neighborhood and my husband and I where really in need of a pedicure. I walked in and it was fairly busy Which to me is a pretty good sign. We told them we needed 2 pedicures. They put us in the chair and started the water. I told them we needed a regular pedicure with a callus remover treatment. They then handed me a sign that said it was going to be $37 per pedicure! To me that is outrageous!! But ok. We will give it a try because we are already in the chair with our feet soaking. The lady that did my toes didn't even acknowledge my presence. Didn't say a single word to me. And I don't know what her name was because again. Didn't say 1 thing to me. Just tapped my leg to signal me what she wanted from me. She then proceeded to scrape my ankle with the foot brush and I was literally bleeding. She was cutting my cuticle but it wasn't my cuticle she was cutting. So now my toes and me ankle was bleeding. I'm furious my this point. She then painted my toes. I looked down at the end and there was paint all over my toes!! I was honestly shocked at this point . I can not believe this was a 80 dollar pedicure trip and this is what service we got! Not to mention my husband and I still had calluses when we left!!all that money and we didn't even get what we asked for ! I told my husband when we got home about what happened because I didn't want to make a scene because of how upset I was and he said that there was nothing he could do because there was a sign when he paid that said make sure you are satisfied before you leave because after you leave we are no longer responsible... so obviously I'm not the only one who has gone and was completely un satisfied !! Stopped here while checking out Tuesday Morning Store. I didn't get my nails or toes done but I did chose to have eye lash extensions. I was the only one in shop so my service was quick. The technician did a great job and my lashes look wonderful. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to the glue and my eyes have been red and running since yesterday. I'm super picky about where I get my nails done and don't really like to get them done in the state; however this is where I go when I am visiting my parents. Have been going to them for a few months now and absolutely love them. Everyone is very friendly, they are reasonably priced and they are always fast yet very precise. I get pink and white and love them every time. Looks great thru the 3-4week time frame until time for a fill in. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Read Less

They did ok for a mall place but the guy didn't put a top coat on one hand and when I asked him he was like no it's fine. I understand that it is not going to come off but it send my OCD into overdrive not to mention that I asked him to do it and I am paying 30$ for this. Just very annoyed more than anything.Read Less

Didn't appreciate one of the lady's taking another person in front of me because I asked them for a color they didn't have. Finish with one customer then go to the next. So this is the most depressing nail salon in Charleston. Walk in, and there is no one there. I received no greeting. No one asked what I wanted, so I just said out loud, I would like a pedi, and just started looking for a color. The 1 of 2 people there got up from cell phone surfing, and prepared the pedi station. That took 2 or 3 minutes. When he was done, he looks in my direction and flatly says, "Ready?" Um, hello to you too, and no, I am not. At this point, I already considered turning around and walking out. I really wish I did. Sat down, and he says to the floor, "How are you?" I suppose he was talking to the floor since he was staring at it. The few nail salons I have been to, the people have been friendly and sociable.
