We thought we were having a nice experience when I took my three young daughters for their first manicure and pedicure on vacation. Only every question we were asked was to nickel and dime us. It cost us $330 for one adult, a 6 year old, 8 year old and 11 year old to have our nails done. HORRID. The owner charges more—a lot more—for people from out of town. Her price list has one price for mani plus pedi, but she charges for each separately to charge more, adds more $ for the type of nail polish she pushes and smiles sweetly while she does it. It is wrong to list one price and charge another. On top of it all, she did a horrid job on my daughters hands not even filling each nail with nail polish and the rest of us already have chipped nails 2 days later. I am surprised by the negative reviews.  I have visited this nail salon on several occasions and am always pleasantly received by the owner, Martha.  The mani/pedi is very well executed and lasts longer than the average salon.  Leg massage is to die for!  They use natural products and essential oils only.  It is extremely clean and well run.  When I make an appointment I am always received on time.  It may cost more than a nail salons off the highway but it definitely feels a notch above.  Freshfields rent isn't cheap! I am so happy this nail salon opened on Kiawah in Freshfields. I was a little worried because of the negative reviews but happily I had a wonderful experience. They fit me in last minute for a pedicure appointment- while I was there they had many people walking in with and without appts. I was fortunate to have the owner do my pedicure and it was wonderful. They have very nice massage chairs, the place smells fresh and clean ( lemongrass) and my pedicure was pleasant, leisurely and thorough. The owner was lovely as can be....It's hard for me to envision the negative reviews happening here. I had a lovely experience and will definitely return to Kiawah Island Nails. Read Less

This salon has all the latest colors and 5 pedi chairs. It is clean and has a tranquil atmosphere. It is however pricey: $60 for a pedicure and a powder manicure is $100(!) and the quality of mani/pedi does not equal the price. Horrible experience. My nails were off within 24hrs because two had broken and one chipped. I didn't realize I was paying 60.00 for gel nail polish on nails and toes! That was beyond crazy. Go to Kiawah every year, but will never be back to this nail place Read Less

Nice people and atmosphere, but the prices are ridiculous. I paid $60 for a gel manicure which is double what I normally pay. I couldn't find their prices anywhere and I guess I should've asked. I have never been treated so rudely as a customer at a business before. I was mortified and had no words for the business owner as I was paying for my nails. Do not get the voucher on the Yelp site. They will not honor it and will say you are making up a fake voucher. The service prices are ridiculous as well. It was $150 for a fill in shellac and pedi.The $60 deluxe pedi was a scam and is what anyone would call a basic pedi. I'm afraid to ask what the basic was, they probably would have washed my feet off our back with a hose. I would recommend the hair salon place instead (reflections). Read Less

So overpriced for what you get. I get gel manicures all the time and they never cost $60 (which is the price at Kiawah Nail Studio). Not only was it way too expensive, but I had an appointment and still had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. extremely frustrated with the average quality, long wait, not friendly staff, and overpriced manicure. Got a manicure Saturday morning. Already chipped on 6 out of 10 fingers. Was at a wedding for most of the 24hours so no overuse. I recommend you use less remover in your polish(know you want to make it last longer), it actually dries it out Will never return. Read Less
