The lady I had, has the worst attitude when I asked her to fix something she messed up. The nail job was insufficient and nail polish that both me and my friend picked was supposed to be opaque, but turned out to be translucent and she messed up so many times. I'm going to be "that person". Normally I wouldn't waste my time on a review but this is a vacation spot and people rely on yelp. I made an appointment for a set of gel extensions for my wedding.First attempt, the guy grinded down my nails fairly thin then pulled out his acrylic kit. I tried to explain thats not what I wanted so the owner had to intervene ans then told me he'd do my pedicure first then she would do my hands.That was one of the roughest pedis ever. Who causes pain when removing polish?!  Then the own proceeds to do a dip color set on my nails. To be fair for what they are, they look pretty good. Still not what I asked for multiple times. But I didnt know the process was wrong until it was over. Still might have been calm despite my clearly thick chunky fake nails id it weren't for the fact that the nails were all I got while charged more than listed price. Not the sugar scrub advertised, not my cuticles cut, not any lotion either. At $50 a set and $28 for a pedicure that was essentially a color change... it was pretty abysmal. We came here due to the high yelp rating. Mistake. Four of us arrived at 1:40 on Saturday afternoon without appointments. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait, which we were fine with. About 45 mins later we started to be seated. My water was run without the girl checking the temperature. I tried to get the attention of one of the people working, and was ignored. Meanwhile my friend next to me almost had her water over flow. My water was so hot that when they finally checked it, even she was surprised, and had to remove water and add a lot of cold water to make it bearable. And I like hot water. We then waited and waited and waited. So long my water significantly cooled to almost room temperature. I feel the pedicure was merely adequate. As I was trying to get out of the chair, one of the workers was irritated that I needed to get by. The polish on my toes is uneven and one is completely jacked up. We were given small bottles of water, but that is where the customer service ended. One of my friends was given the same pedi and charged more than the rest of us. And they cut her toe. This is the 3rd salon in Hilton Head that I tried for an SNS powder manicure. They are by far the best. They pay attention to detail and use the SNS product for all steps from the base coat to the top coat. The other salons did not and my manicure did not last as long. Best nail shop in Hilton Head! We came in for a tennis tournament at the last minute and decided to get pedis and they were able to accommodate us with 3 pedicures! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I called this place a few days before to book 15 appts for pedicures for a wedding party. The owner immediately said "Ok, that sounds great, we will shut the shop down for your party." He called me the day before to confirm which made me feel better and i'm sure helped him out. We went there on a Thursday evening with I'd say over 20 of us. We brought some champagne with us to celebrate but we underestimated the amount we would drink. He brought out some more for us and ensured that we were all having a good time the entire time. The pedicures were wonderful and the whole staff was great, I will never go to another nail salon if I'm ever in Hilton Head again. Having recently moved to Hilton Head, I needed to find a nail salon as good as the one I left behind.  After trying a few on the island, I found Nail Talk and De the owner.  Manis and pedis are amazing and after I had the worst nail accident ever, De has taken great care of me while my torn nail grew out.  Months later, it is finally like new (when I thought it would never heal properly).  Love, love, love this place. Three weeks ago today, my daughter and I stopped in at Nail Talk to get our nails done without an appointment. We were on vacation and this was the second place we stopped by unexpected. Unlike our first stop, we were welcomed in immediately. D and his staff were so friendly and professional. We tried the SNS line for our French manicures.  It was wonderful to get gel nails that didn't require a harmful UV light. And they look fabulous and have lasted longer than any gel polish I've ever used before. Three weeks later... ZERO chipping or peeling not on the ends or corners or any where. That's never happened before. I'm rough on my nails. While the product is great, I think our manicures lasted that long due to how meticulously and professionally they were applied. D did my nails and he was lightning fast but completely thorough at the same time. The care he took to shape the gel nail bed was what made difference between a good manicure and a long lasting GREAT manicure. Unfortunately, we were on HHI for our annual vacation. Usually, we always get our nails done before we leave home... NEVER AGAIN. Nail Talk will be our first stop to start our vacation off right from now on.Also, I came in with bushy out of control eyebrows (another pre-vacation task that didn't get done). The woman who worked on my daughter's hands (I'll update this with her name soon) offered to fix me up... she threaded my brows then shaped and filled them in. Another BEST experience ever and that's after years of getting my brows done. LOVE THIS SALON! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. This place is the bomb! I'm a licensed nail tech (just need to renew my license) and this is the first place that I have seen that does paraffin wax after dip nails, has glitter dip selections and more colors then any other place that does dips on Hilton Head Island or bluffton and better prices. When I first moved to Hilton Head I tried several nail salons. They all screwed my nails up. I actually gave up doing my nails for months because no one knew how to properly do nails. I had an event to go to so I needed them done and found this salon online. I figured I would give them a try and I have never looked back. De always does my nails and they are flawless. I am so happy I found this place. It's clean, inviting, and always has great customer service. They remember things you tell last time you visited, which really make you feel welcome. I wish I could take this place home with me! I read so many reviews from multiple salons in Hilton Head before deciding to come to Nail Talk + Polished and they truly do live up to the hype! Hands down BEST massage chair I have ever been in, the nail tech that did my toes did an amazing job, and De (the owner) talked me into trying the powered gel dip on my fingers and I'm OBSESSED! This is a great place for a little pampering! It was my first time and I'll definitely be making part of my annual Hilton head girl's vacation. My friend and I came in for a mix of manicures, pedicures, and eyebrows and the results were excellent. Fantastic customer service. Great salon in HHI!! Was introduced to the dipping powder nail technique and couldn't be happier with the results! My nails feel great and much more natural.  I now prefer this type of manicure instead of the gel.  Very nice and friendly staff. This salon also offers an extensive selection of polish colors! This is proabably my favorite place to get my nails done! I went with my aunts bridal party and I don't regret it. Dee and his staff are amazing. They are very professional and attentive. They also introduced me to Dipping powder, a new more safe way of having longer nails without sacrificing the health of my nails, the set also included a paraffin wax that left my hands super soft. I was searching for a nail salon while visiting Hilton Head Island and found Nail Talk on Yelp. So glad I did. The salon is clean, elegant and the staff was friendly.  My gel manicure experience was the best I've ever had anywhere. De was gentle and precise. After my nails were dry, he finished the process with a salt scrub and paraffin treatment. This is a standard part of their procedure. It was ok - when I go to a nails place, one of my primary tests for quality is how good the pedicure massages are. Based on the earlier reviews I had higher expectations, especially for a $40 pedicure. The woman who gave me my massage was alright- average at best - and definitely could've been trying harder. I was in desperate need of a mani-pedi and I had to look presentable for a wedding. I took a chance on this place and I'm glad I did! I walked in and was seated within a couple of minutes. Came here to get a basic pedi while on vacation.  If you're looking for the best pedi of your life, look elsewhere. This one was nice, but average.  I didn't mind because i had visited Faces Day Spa prior to this spot for a massage and their pedis were way too expensive for a 20 minute prep and polish.  Here, I was a walk in and I waited about 10 minutes...but with my feet in warm water, which I always appreciate.  Very friendly service with lined tubs and your own tools.  They ask for cash but took my card.Side note: If you're a diva and can't handle a fly landing on you while you're getting your toes done, skip this place.
