Went here with my mom and fiancé. One day after we got our pedicures my toenail chipped. Not just the polish. But my actual toenail. A few days after that another toenail came right off!!! Whatever they use for their pedicures made my nails very fragile and breakable. Also I got gel polish on my finger nails and it just peeled right off two days later. Went in for a new set , was very disappointed in the service that I got I I frequent this establishment quite often And generally get a good service and nice nail set or or manicure. This time I got terrible set, the gentlemen didn't say two words to me through the whole thing had to tell him a couple of times to fix my shape of the nail , make my nails very boxy and not very natural-looking and that's what I wanted just a short natural set. First time here. Worst nail salon I've ever been to. Lady was rough taking my previous polish off like she hated her job, her life, and me. Cut one of my pinky toenails as small as a newborns nails. My 4yr old daughter could massage my legs and paint my nails better than this lady. She put my sandals on told me to go dry them at the lighted tables where only one table is lit up but both chairs are taken. Not even 3 steps away from her, my toenails hit my new sandals ruining t...he paint on big toes. I turn around to have her repaint. She wasn't nice about it. She maybe wiped 1/4 of the color off leaving the rest so now you can see where it was repaired. I go to dry and notice she didnt even paint my whole nail. There were 3 pedis and 1 child fingers painted which the cost was over $90. Most techs busy doing pedis and few doing hands. Not waiting for anyone to repaint me and get a bad job again after reading horrible reviews. Ladies you know how it goes, you go in for a pedi... you're playing on your phone, relaxing, enjoying the massage chair, chatting with the person beside you and to the techs, you don't pay attention when your polish is off. All you see is the final results, pretty painted toes. I woke up at 4am this morning in extreme pain, it felt like someone had taken a hammer to my toe. Took my polish off my big toe, only to find from the top to the center of my whole nail bed is comple...tely white... googled it, I have Onychomycosis... it's very difficult to cure and is very contagious. (I've posted a picture in comments on this post) Not once did a technician advise me of it during my pedi. This doesn't happen over night... I've been going here for over two years. It takes up to a year or longer to cure, and requires daily attention in the process. I love my pedi technician and I'm disappointed that she never said anything. I type this as I sit soaking my foot (which I'll need to do two times a day for 45 minutes) for a extended lengthy of time, it will take over a year to remedy. I'm trying a home remedy because the medicine for this is very expensive and has other life threatening side effects. In my research, it states that lack of sterilization of tubs and pedicure tools is the common reason for contraction. It also says wear closed shoes and socks can promote it... This is honestly the worst outcome I've ever had with getting my nails done. It took about an hour and 45 minutes for the guy to do my nails..I get sns because I like how light they feel and how they don't look bulky. Well that's not what I got from this place. The guy would do a handful of layers then just shave it all off and start over. He also kept shaving into my skin. The inside corners underneath the nails are sharp and have jagged plastic sticking out. Some of my nails are crooked and over all it doesn't look like a clean job. It looks like I have assorted blobs all over my fingers. I was hoping since it was taking so long eventually it would get better. Nope. I have come here to get my nails done several times. It seems like each time I come it's gotten worse and worse. I received a gel manicure 8 days ago and the polish is bubbling on the sides of my nails, peeling up, and the polish needs to be taken off. Gel manicures are SUPPOSED to last 2 weeks. Not to mention the girl that did them did had the ENTIRE GEL manicure DONE in 20 mins and skipped half the steps that is normally done in other gel mani's that I've had. Very disappointing to pay $35 for a manicure that's supposed to last around 2 weeks that only lasted a week. I will no longer recommend this place nor will I be back after repeated horrible service! I have been here twice now. Both times I have had a mani (gel) and a pedi (regular.) I have walked in once and called ahead once. I have never waited over 15 minutes to be seated. My favorite part is the fact that they have a receptionist. The stylist do t have to worry about answering the phone, taking payments, or making appointments. I will continue to go back. Nail polish on my toes was streaky and not laid on even so you could see the difference of where they painted and where they didn't paint as much. Their chairs are always broken, and they continue to cut the skin on my toes every time i come, ive came here 5 times trying to give them a chance but they suck. New to the area and just happened to find this nail salon close to my house. I've been getting regular pedicures for 5-6 years..The first time I went in, had an awesome 45 minute pedicure. I didn't know there were different types, but it was fine. This past Friday I went in and got there right at 0930. When I signed in, there was a young lady at the desk and I asked her for the time when I signed in. I was immediately taken back to a chair. As soon as I sat down the young la...dy started on me..I had sent a message to my husband at 0933 telling him I was able to get in there before it got super busy. I'm annoyed because my pedicure didn't even last 20 minutes. She put my shoes on and told me to go sit up front if I wanted to..I was back in my car and texting my husband I was on my way home by 0956. I had just a deluxe pedicure and it was fine, but the technician would not stop talking in their mother language to the other technician, who was doing my daughter's pedicure. I feel that it would be a much better experience if the technician spoke to the customer other than asking if it was a deluxe or regular pedi. Also, my daughter's nail tech sliced her finger badly with the cuticle clippers. He apologized, but did not offer even a bandaid! Even though the nails look great, customer service was horrible. My girls and I went in on a Sunday morning and had three pedicures, one gel set manicure and one regular manicure. We had no appointment and waited about 15 mins. My pedicure was the best I've ever had anywhere. I'm from San Diego and I travel quite a bit so, Goose Creek, you win. I feel like I made a lifetime friend in my manicurist too Anh. They're just rude. I've taken my very well behaved and polite 4 year old daughter here a few times with me. Each time they act like painting her nails and toe nails is such an inconvenience to them. I brought my daughter and sister-in-law here for the first time for a girls day. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. We told the gentleman at the front what we wanted. My daughter and I were getting pedicures and my SIL a manicure. I don't know if there was miscommunication or what but my daughter got a full pedicure and all I got was my toes painted. Wasn't what I asked for. I've never had to be specific about a pedicure. I do think this is a great place and I would love to come back but I think they need to work on listening and understanding their customers. I came here for the first time with my daughter and sister-in-law. We checked in and wrote down what we wanted and what time we got there. Also told the guy at the front that greeted us what we were all getting. When it was time for my Pedicure the tech did not turn the tub on to soak my feet, she didn't wash them, scrub them, put lotion on my legs etc. All she did was clipped my toenails, filed them and started painting them. I was very confused as to why she wasn't soaking them like you normally would. I don't know if she misunderstood or what the deal was. I've never had to be specific about a pedicure. I thought that's what a pedicure was. Soaking your feet, washing, scrubbing etc etc. I felt a little ripped off to be honest. They do great work but I also feel like they need to listen to their customer and understand what the customer is asking of them before they just start doing whatever. I usually come here and have my nails done all the time. Today was the worst experience I've ever had and I will likely not be back. They first did my toe polish change I asked for the design on my big toe he missed it. Fine we can do it as we finish my nails took forever to get my nails done because he was busy talking and stops working to talk again. Normally if the technician sees my nails are rounded I don't have to tell them to round them again my nails were squared I had to tell him that I wanted them rounded. First time visit for myself and my 9 year old. Lynn did my acrylic fill in. She did a fabulous job! She is very funny. I really enjoyed our conversation. Not sure who the lady is that worked on my daughters pedi. Her nails were done ok. When we got home she had some polish on her skin around her toe but no big deal. Will definetly be going back! My only suggestion would be to offer soda, water, wine and mimosas as other shops do. Just gives that more welcoming feel in a competitive market. Just my suggestion :) Read Less

Great service but whatever product they use for their full set for gel sucks. In less than a week my nails look as if the material is cracking near the cuticle and it shouldnt. I cant ask to get them redone since I travel for work. For gel full set with two designs I paid $55.00. Next time ill go somewhere else. Read Less

I've been here several times and had to map directions to this place to be sure the poor reviews were for the same place I've visited.  I haven't been in over a year & returned yesterday.  The salon has been modeled and can service more people than before AND they are properly staffed, unlike Wal-Mart (Why do they have 20 registers & 3 cashiers!?)My take? I would return again!  This isn't my preferred nail place BUT it's close to home, I got in on a Saturday morning with about a 3 minute wait and I love my nails.  My technician spoke to me and was fabulous in every way, I was out of there in about an hour with a great mani-pedi.  I would book her again and again, but alas...she's leave the Charleston area.  Let's talk about the elephant in the room.  Customer service/foreign language.  This is only the 2nd time a technician at this salon spoke to me in English outside of asking color? basic? deluxe? gel? The results have always been good.  The experience has typically been average.  All of these techs understand English, I have plenty of misunderstandings with the English speaking population, but people are quick to bang on these people because English may be their 2nd language.  Be direct & ask questions over & over especially if you think something is wrong, they will call on someone else if there is a misunderstanding. Get exactly what you want & only pay for that by referring to your service by the name on the menu.  I think they are less social than Americans because they concentrate on giving good service, quickly to a LOT of people, for a decent price...speaking of price....Value.  I paid $57 for a gel mani ($37) & basic pedi ($20).  I could have gotten a gel mani & pedi for $60 at my preferred salon.  However, on a Saturday w/no appointment, I couldn't have gotten in the door. My other preferred place?  A spa that charges $40 for the gel mani (unless you buy a series), Saturday? no appointment?  Well, you'd just get a look of pity.  These places are owned and operated by native South Carolinians, you'll get plenty of smiles and greetings and great service...by appointment only. OMG Jazzy was great, suggested a product for my hair and if I didn't like it bring it back. Her personality is so funny.
