Very bad experience here. Outside of major communication gap, my 2 sisters and I had mani/pedis there which didn't even last 3 days. Within hours the polish was fading, chipping and altogether messed up. My sister asked if they were usually that busy and they said only when there was a Groupon. Now we know why. I have been going there for a while and tried a few others but always came back. Also, after my fill in today I wasn't happy with it...I called and spoke with Tom and he told me to come back and they would fix it for me. Caitlyn is the best! After leaving this salon.. there's NOTHING beautiful about my nails.(see photo) my service was rushed unprofessional and overall terrible. The "message" on the pedicure consisted of layers of oil and lotion but no actual massage, and the employees were overall rude. We were told it would be 10 minutes and waited about 30 complained about being thirsty after working out and was never offered water and never asked what service we wanted they just assumed and choose to give us the pedicure they wanted. When I spoke with the manager who had done my nails upon checking out she said I don't know what's wrong and I told her maybe this is not the profession for her. The entire time I was there two ladies stood in front of me having a whole conversation speaking their native tongue. That did not bother me only the fact that the girl doing my feet was very rough and not even looking at what she was doing. She never attempted to have any type of a conversation with me. I did not feel welcome but more like chore. When she was done she got on the phone and stayed on the phone cashing me out while on the phone. When I opened up the ratings for the salon on yelp I was surprised at the low ratings! A girlfriend referred me here and I've been going for almost a year... I had tried about four or five other nail salons in the Waxhaw, Weddington & Marvin area and been disappointed with all of them! Now most nail salons will give you a decent pedicure, but I have solar nails (pink and white acrylic) and many places take an hour and a half to two hours to do this after I have sat waiting 20 minutes even with an appointment! This location I have NEVER had to wait, even without an appointment! They do a fantastic job EVERY time!!!  Additionally, they can finish a full pink and white set in about an hour, for a fill it's between 45 minutes to an hour with the job very well done. It frustrates me that sometimes with other salons I would have to make an appointment, and then I sit and wait 15 to 20 minutes... Sometimes 30! And then they do an OK job, but it takes them over an hour and a half to finish. In which case, if I also want a pedicure I'm looking at 2 to 3 hours out of my day... Which is just plain ridiculous!One added thing I like about this location, is that I never feel like they are "pushing" anything... They don't tell you that you need to come every two weeks or that you need to have gel over regular polish. There are often times where my pink and white will last me 3 to 4 weeks, and they can give you extra white if you want it so you can do this... And they do not say a single thing or make you feel like you are a bad customer if you're not coming every two weeks.  I've been to other salons were they suggest something to you and when you say no, you hear them talking to each other, and it's pretty obvious that they're saying something about you that's not very nice....nobody should ever assume that because you don't speak their language you can't understand what they are saying, body language & facial expressions tell more sometimes! I went here for a mani/pedi because I got a Groupon for it, I had never been here before. The best part of the experience was the upgrades I got on the pedicure which I paid extra for that day (paraffin wax and hot stone massage). If I hadn't had gotten these upgrades it would have been a much less pleasurable experience. The girl missed multiple spots on my toes with the polish (which I didn't notice untilI had left already) & I was put in the awkward situation of giving the tip before everything was done which I don't think is fair. Overall it was enjoyable simply because of the upgrades and because I hadn't had a mani or pedi in over 2 years and never treat myself but I don't think I will come back to this location with all the choices there are for nail salons.  Definitely not the worst nail experience of my life but definitely left a lot of room for improvement. Overall, I would say this place was pretty good. I had an appointment and didn't have to wait long at all. They had a huge selection of colors. My tech was friendly but quiet. I had a gel polish manicure and a regular pedicure. The spa was nice and clean. My only issue with this place was that my gel polish manicure chipped within a few days! Not just one chip, three chips. I don't do hard labor work. One thing I noticed was when my hand was switching off back and forth through the heater to dry, she had the setting on 60 seconds but would take my hand out before the 60 seconds so I don't know if that maybe had to do with the constant chipping or not. This was my first time coming to this nail salon.  I went on a Friday when they opened.  I was seated right away and the eatablishment was very clean and their massage chairs were nice and extra wide.   I had the deluxe pedicure for $35.   The massage was heavenly and so was the hot stones.   I didnt like how hot the wax was but other than that... This has to be, by far... the best nail salon in the Ballantyne/N. Indian Land, SC area.  The only thing that could have made this experience better was if they offered wine, juice, soda and water.  And it would have been nice if the volume of their TV was turned up, instead of being on silent. This salon is two mins from my home. Despite its convenience, I will not continue to give them my business because I was unfairly overcharged. I was not told beforehand that the exact same service I have purchased for years would be more. I asked about the increase and was given an unreasonable excuse.
