The only reason I came here is because I couldn’t get in with my regular guy. After reading other reviews and the experience I had, I wouldn’t come back to this place even if they gave me a lifetime of free nail services! I understand first hand why it says “Services are non-refundable” on their receipts — clearly I’m not the only one who has asked for a refund. They rush through your service, half-ass it, then get upset with you when you ask them to fix it or reimburse you. The look of the place is beautiful. The effort- awful. Ken did my nails not once but twice terribly. A few of my nails are two different colors. It looks like my seven year niece painted them. What a beautiful salon....but that is where the beauty ends. I just received a horrendous manicure. The whole experience itself was not up to par and I was slightly dissapointed but when I looked down at my nails and saw that there is literally nail polish painted over cuticle like I did them myself with my non dominant hand in a rush I just can't be silent. Unfortunately, I'm not a reviewer. I don't really think it's a good practice, however, I felt this review is needed.I've been going to Veda for over a year now, getting regular manicures and pedicures there and they have all been great. So luckily I knew exactly where to go to get my nails done for my wedding. And one bad time isn't usually enough for me to review, but because it was my wedding, their response was awful. They did not shape my nails at all, and also didn't do a manicure on them. They didn't even clean off my nails before applying acrylics from the previous manicure I'd had. The nails look like thy had a weeks worth of growth on them barely hours after I had gotten them done and have now ignored my request for a refund. I live 40 min away and do not go out to West Ashley very often and did not have any time to go get them fixed prior to my wedding. I had to spend money somewhere else to get them fixed and you can tell by the pictures the difference that it made.Management has not responded to my wanting a refund, despite showing pictures and calling. They did a good job, don't get me wrong.. but I went earlier today and they put things on my order that was completely unnecessary. I went in to get a $35 manicure and left with a $58 manicure.   They refused to tell me how much it was going to cost until after I got done. They took advantage of the fact that I couldn't understand them, and also tried to take advantage of my 13 year old when she also asked for the $35 manicure. After I got done and paid for mine I said I was going to pay for her as well and they said she wasn't done. I said that I was paying $35 and that was all. I put a stop to that real quick. I had to come here for a nail emergency because my grandpa pass away. I had to go out of the country so I made a appointment and I let them know I was going to be late because I got lost . I am very new to the area and I wasn’t sure my way around . It seem to be fine til I go there and I had to wait for almost a hour and also was yelled at ! I am running on a schedule and I don’t have time to deal with this. Good thing I was able to do some of my errands by phone while I was waiting . When I got my nails done pink and white it look nice but too thick and the manager is very rude ! I really dislike how he talk to his employees and also I felt out of place as it is ! Not welcoming to new customer! The tone switch and changes real quick with regulars ans people like me who is trying to get their nails done and new in town . It’s hard enough that people around here are very slow and don’t know how to drive ! But customer service is not where it needs to be ! Very disappointed with my visit today. I've been coming to this salon off and on for over a year and today was my first bad experience. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. Within a few hours my gel polish started peeling from the nail bed and my polish on my toes looks so unprofessional like a child painted them. Took my friend here for her birthday. A very clean salon. I do wish they had plastic covering the bowls.... I didn't see them scrubbing the bowls after the pedis. The prices I found online were outdated. I went in expecting to get one of their nicer pedis for $35 but realized that would cost me $45 once I was there. Not horrible, but not what I was expecting. A fine pedicure but nothing fancy. I was in and out in 30 minutes. The person doing my nails only spent a couple minutes on the massage and seemed to speed through painting my toenails. I'm not one to leave reviews but I come here every so often. I was keeping up on getting my nails filled and I decided I wanted the acrylics soaked off, as it was on the service brochure. My friend also got hers soaked off two weeks ago. I repeated multiple times that I wanted them soaked and the woman that did them did not soak, she ripped them off causing more damage and breakage to my already damaged nails. She made one of them bleed and break, she tried to glue it but later that night it came off. I'm too nice to say anything during the service but I am not happy and I also paid for the "soak off" that wasn't even done!!! Sadly, once again, I will have to be on the search for a new and better nail salon that does what their brochure says. I should not have paid 30 dollars for my nails to be ripped off.Read Less

Beautiful facility, horrible service. Very rushed, it was obvious others were more important. Very short and rude wth payment. Went through so quickly without care. When you get a pedicure you want to be pampered and cared for, this place definitely didn't do that. I felt very uncomfortable in this salon. They also took off my gel nail polish with a drill (instead of soaking them like you're supposed to) which then ruined my nails. I came in today and the first guy gave me a snarky remark after I was unsure of what service I wanted, due to the fact that I had just walked in the salon and had not looked over the service list. Came here for my sister in laws pre wedding nail stop. We had an appointment scheduled and we arrived a few minutes early. They had all our stations ready for us and saw us immediately. We had an extra person come with us and they very graciously accommodated us with that. Everyone loved their manicures and pedicures. The staff was friendly and professional. I came Thursday afternoon after work and although it was pretty busy, I was able to get a seat right away. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Veda Nail Spa. I liked that the technicians were professional and took their time with each client. I got the Classic Pedicure and it was $29 and Gel Nails for about $35. I have to say, at first I wasn't in love with my nails, but after a few times of washing my hands, they looked great. The interior is unlike most nail salons I've been in. This place is noticeably bright and clean. I also noticed that all the utensils and supplies that they used were clean and sanitized well. I look forward to the next time I get my nails done! I always turn to Yelp for locations to go to for nails, restaurants, etc, because I travel for work and need advise on where to go. This nail salon is awesome but a bit pricy if you don't mind that. I was not expecting to pay $103.00 for a pedi and fill. To be fair, I did get French which is automatically more (don't know why) and I did get paraffin Pedi which advertises at $48 which seemed fair. On top of the $48 though, they charged me an extra $30 for the French so the pedi was $78. Good lesson to learn, just get regular. But I have to give them 5 stars because they were extremely clean and the service was excellent along with the job. Just be aware of the cost! Read Less

After all the rave reviews I gave Veda a try, very clean, fully staffed, many choices of polish & gell with matching colors in the same brand. Crazy about my hands & feet matching. I went at opening on a Sunday, they took me right away. Service was good, made nice convo with other patrons who had nothing but good things to say.  Tommy was my tech, he did both my hands & feet, I got a standard pedicure & gel manicure. I was pleased with my service & thought I found my salon. Until... my gels started lifting only after a week after service. Gels always last me 2 weeks min & I can always stretch it out to 3 weeks. I had the best experience here, I have had some nail issues with a nail that had fallen off years ago from injury and have always had an ugly embarrassing toe. Today they took care of that issue, clipped away dead nail, cleaned it and made a plan for growth and made it look like a normal nail while I get it back to normal. When we walked in there were 5 nail techs outside.  The place was dead.  Both my boyfriend and I got a mani & pedi. Despite having several people with nothing to do, they did one service at a time.  The woman who did my boyfriend's services didn't even clean under his nails....which is kind of the biggest part in a men's manicure since there's no polish covering it.  My tech also did not clean under my nails.  My polish was applied a little too thin as I could see brush strokes once it dried.  The top coat was garbage and my nails were chipped less than 12 hours later.  Don't waste your money here.  We paid $120 for the worst service we've ever had. Met a friend here during our lunch hour to have a manicure.  I called ahead and the lady at the front was nice and made sure we could get our nails done at the same time and sit next to each other.  The salon is lovely, and does not have the offensive small allot of salons have.  Everything looks like new, and very clean.  I was happy to see the tables where next to each other so I could sit next to my friend and have a conversation.  The lady who did my friends nails Mariah was super nice and friendly she seemed to take her time completing my friends gel manicure and she was super happy with it.  I'm torn on the lady who did mine she wasn't to nice, and did not smile once HOWEVER my regular manicure has lasted almost an entire week.  I would definitely go back to have my nails done here again, they had a great collection of colors, and it was clean and friendly for the most part.  If you get lost finding them they are not on the side with Payless, and TJ max you have to go around the corner of the new pizza place.  You will find them tucked on that side that I didn't even know existed.  You may want to call ahead, they did have one person waiting while we where having our nails done. 5+ stars for Veda. I've finally found a nail place that provides clean, quality service at a great price! As a patron (so from the surface), everything appears very clean. It's decorated wonderfully and very bright inside which I like. They've got two TVs and one has been on House Hunters every time I've gone, so that makes me even happier! The pedi chairs are still new. The polish walls are filled with tons of colors. The service is quality, too. The employees don't try to make too much small talk, and even for someone like me who can talk to a wall, it's very enjoyable to just sit in silence while my feet are made to look decent again. I usually get the Classic Pedi which is $29 without tip. You can tip on your credit card which is nice. If you do any of their other pedis, you get wine and exfoliation and other add-ons. The only negative thing I can conjure is that I wish they used those plastic bowl covers  in the pedi bowls and changed them between customers. Check them out! Read Less

My friend and I went here for pedicures today and really enjoyed our experience. The salon was bright, clean, and comfortable and the service was great. We went early on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Even though we made appointments, we had to wait about 10-15 minutes. We weren't in a hurry though, so the wait wasn't too much of an inconvenience.The salon has a large wall of nail colors to pick from when you first walk in the door. In the back of the salon you can find about a dozen clean and comfortable spa/massage chairs that can be easily reclined and adjusted to suit your preference.  The service was friendly and efficient. The classic pedicure was $29 and included a short massage and hot towels. However, if you want something more fancy they have some "top shelf" options that include paraffin or hot stone massage. At the end of my visit my toes looked and felt great.I will definitely be back here for manis and pedis in the future and based on the other 5 star reviews, it looks like I won't be the only one!
