My 84 year old mother and I enjoyed our manicure/pedicure today. It was my mom's first time getting a pedicure. She loved the special care received from the owner's daughter. She did a great job on French manicure. Mom loved it! The husband/wife took special care with my pedicure/manicure. It's a family own business that know how to treat people with care. I decided to try them because of the ratings from this site. There were more positive than negative comments. I went here for the first time on a Sunday @ 3:30. I did not have an appointment and was told it would be a 40 minute wait for a pedicure. No big deal, I waited and actually only had to wait 25 minutes. The establishment is clean as others stated. I went with the deluxe package. The lady did a fine job and was very attentive in through the whole process. I usually use a salon in Myrtle Beach and another place in Waynesville NC, when I'm in those areas. My mom, sister and I went for a manicure and pedicure. We called about 30 minutes prior to our arrival and they set us up with an appointment, so no wait! When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by someone with a smiling face who asked us to pick out our color and sit down in the chairs. All three nail technicians were super polite, friendly, and conversational and did a great job on all of our mani/pedis! I'm a cuticle-biter and she performed some sort of magic and made them look neat and clean without causing me pain/blood loss (which usually happens)! Awesome customer service, attention to detail, and all three of us finished at the same time - so no skimping on the massage by one of the techs! Super clean facility - they even use the liners for the foot-soak tubs, which we personally appreciate! Great place- sad we are from out of town! Highly recommended! Read Less

I found this place open on a Sunday and went into get my nails done for my pinning ceremony for nursing school that's coming up. It was my mom who is 61's only day off to go and so we went together for a mom daughter day, which apparently many moms and daughters decided to do the same thing. Everyone in the shop was talking to each other, and they were busy. But they made the play so fun everyone was in a great mood! We had the best service and the nicest people taking care of us Quinn and her husband "good job". Her husband was sweet as can be to my mom making jokes the entire time with us. I read all the reviews and decided to give them a try. This is the first time I have been completely satisfied with my nails! The lady that did them took her time and worked her magic. She made a nail where there wasn't a nail so that I didn't have to cut my real nail!!! Whattttt????!!!! I am totally amazed. It was so clean and they offer beverages. Definitely found my new spot!!! I just came home from getting a Deluxe Pedi by JOHN !!   I've had a lot of Pedicures in my life even at very high end American salons.  But I have got to say that JOHN gave me probably one of the best pedicures I have ever had.   He always shapes my nails just the way I ask him to, so why would'nt he be good at pedicures.   This place is CLEAN, QUIET  (no loud blaring music) PROFESSIONAL !  Smooth Jazz on the speaker or Easy Listening music to help you relax.  They offer wine, water and in winter,  green tea.  I love this place. I have been on the hunt for over a year since I moved here to charleston for a good go to spot for my nails and it had gotten to the point that I just didn't have them done for 5 months! My word... yuck I know. I have been wanting the ombré French tip look and couldn't find anyone who could do and was starting to give up when I decided on a whim to give this place a shot. They weren't busy at all when she said it was going to be a 20 minute wait which I was willing to wait but decided to go with a pedi as well. She was gentle when she should have been and did a great job. I wasn't super super impressed with the pedi and I even got the higher end option but I think I'll stick with the basic. My nails turned out PERFECT! It was scary to put full trust into a new nail salon but no one made a fuss when I showed them my picture and they really couldn't have been better. Finally i found a great mani/pedi place in Charleston!!! This nail salon that uses the plastic liners in the foot bowls!!!!! I don't like a lot of talking during my visits and this place fit me just right! The nail techs did a great job and kept the convo to a minimum so I could just sit there and relax in the massage chair! It was beautiful! I got gel polish for the manicure and a deluxe pedi for $75. I often come to this salon for my eyebrows and a manicure every so often. They do an amazing job here. The staff is very friendly and professional. I went to another salon and that salon ruined my nails. I came to Royal after and they removed the other salon's mistake. They gave me exactly what I wanted. Every time I go somewhere else to get my nails done, I'm disappointed !! I will only go to Royal Nails from now on. I love this nail salon, so clean and relaxing. John, is so attentive and nice when you walk in. He always does the shape of my nails perfectly. I have never felt rushed or hurried out the door like some other shops I have been to. I've never been to any of the other techs so I can't speak on the way they work. All the techs seem to please the clients they work on from what I could tell. Usually they have smooth jazz music playing and always offer something to drink...water, wine, and hot green tea. Go on a Tuesday or Wednesday mid day when it's not so busy. A clean salon. Sadly, it was recently sold and my first visit after the change of ownership was probably worth 3 stars. I had a mani (gel polish) and pedi. It took almost 3 hours as they had some confusion about who was doing what. They do frequently talk amongst themselves in their language and for the most part the younger staff can speak/understand English. I will be looking for a new salon,  but they are worth a try... Come here to get my nails done for Christmas and I totally wowed by this place. This place is extremely clean and the people who work here are very friendly and helpful. This place is a must for those who needs to get their nails done with satisfaction and pleasure. I'm really happy with how my nails look and totally loved the design what Q (the young lady) gave me.
