Yuck. Did my research because I'm looking for a new nail salon. Showed up before opening as a walk-in. Evidently they open at 9:00 instead of 9:30. I had another appointment at 11:00, so I specifically asked if they had time for a walk-in. I was assured it would be no problem, so I chose a polish and was shown to a chair. Someone brought a liner for the tub, a bottle of water and suggested that I make an appointment next time. I was shocked, but sat for another minute thinking someone would start the water. Then I got up and left. Won't be back, and have nothing but awful things since then. Other friends had received gift certificates there and re-gifted them rather than go there. I never write reviews on places, but i was so turned off by my experience here. I haven't gotten my nails done in a while so I made an appointment for a pedicure and gel polish on my hands. I had to go after work so my appointment was for 545. I got there 20 minutes early and from the moment I walked in the door i felt extremely uncomfortable. The guy doing my nails was rushing so much. I could not even relax because of how rushed I felt from him moving so quickly. In total my nails and toes took 45 minutes. That's including a manicure that I continuously said I didn't want. I only wanted gel polish change but of course they did the full manicure and i got charged 20 $ on top of the 15$ for gel color, which is fine if that is what I wanted. On top of that I have blisters on the side of my heel from how hard and fast he was scrubbing. I was looking forward to getting my nails done and I left there super disappointed. Found this spa on Yelp. Desperately need a gel mani/pedi. And since I'm visiting my girlfriend. This is the perfect timing for some pampering.. Greeted by a host. And was seated in the pedicure chair. I got the paraffin pedicure whereas my friend got the jelly pedicure. In all my years, Micheal finally did the pedicure the way I wanted.. Too bad they're located in Charleston since I live in Charlotte NC. I overall enjoyed my service. They gave my friend a complimentary eyebrows wax., Complimentary drinks such as mimosas and soda. I've been here quite a few times, my favorite place to go for my eyebrows, they always shape them so nicely and makes sure it fits my face. There was no wait  but he tried Charging me sculptured nail  prices for bio gel that they put over a fake nail tip and then sculpt...not the same...scam. So I just ended up paying for a pedicure that was rushed, scrubbing was not thorough,  cold lotion was squirted on my legs, super hot towels were thrown on my legs without asking me if it was hot or not, cuticle care was minimal, I got french tip and my pedicurist did not ask how thin I liked my line, did not offer me a beverage but had seen the others offered one. Great pedicure but too expensive,  IMO. Pedi with gel was $70. I didn't pay that much in an Aveda Salon in a much bigger more expensive city, earlier this year. So while I loved the environment,  the extra 25.00 for gel polish was a bit much for me on top of a decent paraffin pedi. Read Less

I love how the pedicure rooms here are in a part of the building where they're abbot secluded. My friend and I came for jelly pedicures a couple of weeks ago, and we were immediately taken to a comfortable room where we were offered mimosas or wine. Our technicians did a great job, and my friend and I loved relaxing and catching up with each other without feeling like we were awkwardly in the middle of a huge salon where 20 conversations are going on. After 2 weeks, one international trip, and about 18 miles of walking/hiking, my polish still looks shiny and great! I will definitely be back here the next time I'm in Charleston! Read Less

If I could leave 0 stars I would! I read all the great reviews and decided to give them a try.I came in for gel polish on my natural nails.  The service was going well until I want my nails shaped. The technician filed my nails, and when she was done filing I asked her if she could shape a few more that were uneven and crooked. She handed me the nail file and I showed her how I wanted them and then she said I'm sorry I can't do your nails anymore because you are not satisfied with how I am doing now your nails. She packed up her supplies and said that she could not make me happy so basically I had to leave. I never said that I wasn't happy I want my nails shaped evenly and she had a problem with that. If you are looking for a salon that respects your opinion and your money, go elsewhere! They want to do with their way with no input from the customer. Read Less

I had my nails done by the older lady there, I didn't get her name. They have such a vast color selection and even have dip powder manicures! It's very clean and well kept. I walked out thinking my nails were dry and smudged both my thumbs. I went back in to ask if they could fix them and they were super nice about it. I offered to pay a few dollars to fix them and they did it for free! It's a hidden gem for sure and I'll definitely be back! My only suggestion is to make an appointment. I had the best experience here! I called in around noon to see about a same day appointment and they were more than happy to help out. Of course, once I got there I decided to upgrade my mani to a gel mani and once again, they were more than willing to make the changes. My pedicure was first and was very thorough. I have the smoothest feet in Charleston now! My mani was great as well - I really appreciated that she took her time with my cuticles (which were a hot mess). The building is clean and they tools are pre-packaged, so I know they haven't been used. Loved it! Checked in on Yelp and got 10% off my purchase, so it was just a perfect way to end my experience. I used to go to this nail shop when they were in the mall but I stopped after they moved out the mall try a couple other places didn't really find other place I like. Went back there the week of Mother's Day to get a fill-in and a pedicure this older lady did my nails and feet.It was about a hour before closing she did an awesome job she didn't rush she took her time and it's about three weeks later and my nails still look awesome I think I am back to stay. I thought my experience here would be nice based off of the greeting when I initially came in. Everyone was pleasant. This slowly turned into a very annoying mail visit. The two nail techs were complaining about the questions I had and made me feel like I was being too needy. I will not be returning to this place and I advise everyone else to stay away. I'm not sure if this was because I was a younger customer but I am very dissatisfied with the atmosphere of this place. The nails were decent but I have seen been and received much better service. Oh my. I am so glad I did some research and drove a little ways to come here. I came here midday on a Friday, and it wasn't busy (yay). First of all I love the feel of the place when you walk in. Very homey, because well, it's in a house. I like that it's kind of broken up into rooms. I was in a room with 3 pedi chairs. Nice and cozy. They gave me a complimentary bottle of water while they worked on my feet. Pretty sweet. I got a regular mani and pedi done by Ken. Super nice guy, and I enjoyed chatting with him. He did not rush and did an incredible job. One thing I hate is when they rush through the whole thing, and this did not happen here. I want my SNS done like a manicure...not like I was getting an acrylic nail set. Definitely have found a hidden gem in West Ashley! I drove right by it, looking for a large business looking building- not realizing that it was a house. The inside is nicely set up. They have quite the selection of nail polish- regular and gel. I called around 530pm and asked if they had availability for a pedicure, expecting to hear a no since it was close to their closing time of 7pm. I was surprised when they said I could come in at 630! When I arrived, I was offered a beverage of wine, soda or water- greatly appreciated and always a nice touch! While I was getting my pedicure done, they asked me if I was interested in a manicure. I advised them I would be interested in a gel manicure, but only if they had time. They said they did and didn't even seem upset about staying late. I loved that! After seeing all the rave reviews on Yelp for this salon, 2 friends and I decided to give it a shot.  Lesson: Don't decide to get your nails done the day before Valentines Day, especially if it is a Saturday.  The salon was PACKED.  Granted, the shop looks like it used to be a very small house, not a large open space like the salons I'm used to in a strip mall, so different, buttttt it was tiny!  There were way too many people (I'm sure that isn't a problem for them).  We each wanted a pedicure and they told us it would be a few minutes, which was fine.  We picked out nail polish* and we were brought to the pedi chairs and 2 of us were able to go right away and we thought our 3rd would be in the last chair (there were 3 in the room) after the chair was cleaned, but nope.  They brought in someone else who was getting her NAILS done.  My pedi was super fast.  I think there was also a language barrier when the lady asked me if she could cut my nails and I said if they needed it and she just didn't bother with any of them... She did about 2 minutes of massage on each leg, which was nice, but never long enough, IMO.  I was almost done and friend 2 was still soaking and friend 3 hadn't even been started yet.Right as I was finished up, Friend 2 got started on and Friend 3 got into the chair to soak.  Friend 2 got cut and was bleeding and she was disappointed she still had to pay full price.  It seemed like Friend 3 also got the super speedy treatment that I got.  $28 for each pedi seemed kinda steep for feeling rushed.*The nail polish selection was on the wall across from the register, which also happened to be the walkway to the back nail/pedi areas and to the front door, so it really congests walking traffic.  Since it was so busy, people kept bumping into us and us into them.  The best part was that they painted my ENTIRE nail, it's a pet peeve of mine when they don't fill the entire nail with polish, and that we were able to get in rather quickly, despite how packed the salon was.  Yet, I probably wouldn't go back.
