This has been my go to salon for the past years and my favorite techs are Andy and Tina... there are some ups and downs to the salon but I find the same pros and cons with many other salons in the Charleston area. First of all, the prices are way too high BUT the places I've been to where the prices are lower, my nails haven't lasted as long. Charleston prices for almost everything are far pricier than other cities. Let's also make some things clear, just because the techs are Asian, doesn't mean that they own the place or that they are the owner's wife. I find that extremely racist and disrespectful and I'm not the least bit Asian. Very overpriced services that’s not worth it. My nails were rushed and not worth $50 for gel polish and a fillin. The owner was very rude and threatened to called the police on another customer that had to go to the atm next door to get cash. Fyi find out what you will have to pay before they service you. I went in for a fill in. Please tell me why my total was $39? When the price on the board says $20! I asked why so much just for a fill in. He says it's $20 more for gel polish. I've been places where it's only $5 more for gel polish and they work is better and faster. Then the owner was rude and said well now u know. It's not what a person says, but how it's said. I went to this salon for pedicure & fill in. I showed the manicurist an example of black nails with gold glitter polish. Right before he painted the glitter, he says, "$10more dollars." He should've said that when he saw the picture!" He didn't care that changing the price was unfair. I hope I'm saving you from such rude & unfriendly service. It's not about the $10. Went in this past Saturday to get a full face wax. The lady did such a beautiful job on my eyebrows that i went in the next day to get a gel overlay over my natural nails. I had a gift certificate. She proceeded to mix what i knew to be acrylic. I want gel i said. No. This is gel, see? She showed me the top where it said gel in sloppy handwriting. My gut is telling something is not right but hey, i haven't done my nails in years maybe they did come out with a gel powder. Maybe she was going to do an acrylic base then the gel on top. I've had that done 20 years ago. She put the stuff on just like acrylic. It doesn't even look pretty. It was rushed. I am a people watcher. I observe very well. It was very rushed. Yet i said nothing. I looked in the internet about this gel powder. There is no such thing. A gel is gel. Powder is powder. It went as far as to say be wary of hand written label. True product comes from the manufacturer with printed labels! I got cheated. I also noticed that when a young black lady came in to fix two nails she was told one hour wait. 5 minutes later a white woman with 3 girls was told 10 minutes. Yes. I am very observant. Sometimes you have to travel to go to a wedding. And sometimes you don't have time to get your nails done before you leave home. This nail shop was recommended to me by a stylist in a beauty salon near by. I thought I'd be in good hands.I got a pedicure and gel tip manicure. The technician was not thorough with the foot scrub. I actually had to direct him to areas he missed. He also didn't use the toe spacers needed while painting. So of course, my toe nail polish smudged before they dried. He corrected it by painting a very sloppy layer first over the wrong toe before I corrected him. During the manicure he PULLED a hang nail I had instead of cutting it.The over the next 2 days my gel polish began to chip and change colors! YES! Change colors. I came in and got the best shellac manicure and service yesterday, however about a month ago during a pedicure I was given two horrible ingrown toenails I'm still growing out. I have to drive to Stella Nova and get them done every time I guess and I'm so sad about that. I don't understand the need to dig at toes when you can file straight across. Read Less
