This is hands down the only nail salon I will ever go to. They are obsessed with cleanliness which should be everyone's concern in a nail salon. They have disposable liners for the pedicure chairs to ensure your feet are never exposed to someone elses toe fungus. They use disposable files, and sterilize all the metal instruments. The owners are amazing and very personable. I am definitely choosey with who I want to do my nails because although very nice, one woman does not know how to give a good foot rub. Plan to be pampered though and out of there within an hr to hr in a half, which I like. I have noticed that the male owner does the best pedicures and the woman owner does the best manis and waxes. This is like my fifth attempt at trying to give this place a chance. I stopped getting my nails done after the owner/manager horribly cut my cuticles to the point where multiple fingers were bleeding. I received no apology or a discount. I then starting going ONLY for an eyebrow arch. However, it's a hit or miss. Whenever the owner/manager does them, it's a strong MISS, completely missing the arch of my eyebrows. I live in Maryland but when I come to Charleston to visit family I come here for a pedicure. I have always had a pleasant experience. John has done my feet the last 3 out of 4 times and is always so personable, professional and does an awesome job. I like this nail salon so much that I will wait until I come down here for a visit for my pedicure - opting not to get it done up in Maryland. Now, that says a lot! Read Less

Very good customer service, fair to poor nails. I went here two weeks ago. It has taken me this long to write a review because everyone was so nice. I got a full set of acrylics. Crystal was so pleasant and fun to be around that I didn't even notice until after I left how lumpy and uneven my nails were. The worst part was that there were huge gaps between some of the nails and the tips. They were also different shapes, with some of them being strangely pointy. So much so that I ended up painting them like candy corn for halloween. Everyone complimented me on getting them the right shape! I did go back the next day to show her the gaps. She was very nice and fixed the worst of them but when I showed her the lumpiness she said they were fine. So disappointing considering how much fun I had talking and visiting. Read Less

I have been going to Crystal Nail Spa for the last 4 years, and I have received excellent service everytime I have been there, Usually I get pedi, gel maxx and eyebrow wax. The Gel Maxx product is the best and lasts a whole month. I work in Georgia but come to South Carolina on the weekends just so I can go to Crystal. She and her team are always nice and professional and their establishment is always clean and comfortable especially with the new massage chairs. Read Less

Three of us came for pedis... What a bad experience.  My tech barely even did what one would call a pedicure.  She was done cutting, filing, trimming cuticles, smoothing, cleaning out from under my nails, etc in less than 2 minutes.  No kidding.  I actually had to stop and tell her to take off the polish that was already on my toes from months ago!  What a total waste of $25. I had my 11 year old with me and without us asking, painted a cute flower on her big toe..... Then charged me $5 for it at checkout!  With so many other places to get your nails done .... Move on! Open on Sundays (yay) Good polish selection, including OPI line.Got a pedicure, and it was pretty "OK."  Massage chair was not great - I couldn't adjust the seat itself, only the massage settings.  (I want to relax when I'm in the chair;  I don't like feeling like I'm sitting straight-up and super close to the pedicurist.)  Price on the wall was like $30 for a pedicure, and $45 for a deluxe one.  The guy there couldn't tell me the difference between the two... (his English was VERY limited)  The prices he quoted me were much cheaper than the ones on the wall, so I sprung for the deluxe pedi. - I was charged $38 for the one listed as $45. I don't know if there was a sale, or what, but I'd make a point to ASK the price before committing to the services, if that's a big factor. Lots of calf-rubbing, some hot towels, and something that felt like icy-hot went on the legs - I'm guessing that's what made it deluxe.  There was a huge bubble in the polish on one of my big toes, and he left it like that.  ... When I noticed it, and asked him to fix it, he did, after a big sigh.  (Um, you're thisclose to my feet, you should have noticed that and fixed it right away!!)  Will go back because it's convenient, not because I loved it.  Next time, I will probably go with the plain pedicure, because all of that extra stuff was not relaxing like it is in some other salons...
