I’m really disappointed with my nails and I searched all day for this place. I’ve had my nails done many time before, for years so I know what should be done. But today the older woman who did my nails didn’t really speak which was fine but never cleaned under my natural nails. All of my nails are misshaped, not fully polish, and I have bubbles in my nails from the top coat. Also I was never asked what shape I wanted she just kinda did her own thing. I have been going to Cuticles for almost two years and never plan to change salons. My SNS manicure is always done perfectly, and I’m extremely picky about my nails. Really should have listened to the negative reviews, but Cuticles came recommended by other locals, so I gave it a shot. I opted to try the powder manicure, and was incredibly disappointed. Not only did I leave with my finger skin glued to the under sides of my nails, but my nails themselves are ruined under the polish - they dremeled the surface of my nails so much that there are permanent lines, there is a semi circle indent in the nail around my cuticle from where they dug in with the dremel, and my actual nails are peeling. I'm sure some of the technicians are great, but I will not take the risk to return. Read Less

Went in for the first time to get a mani/pedi and was immediately pushed to try the dipped nails instead of the gel. I decided to give it a try and wish I didn't. The women who did my pedicure was amazing, which is the only reason I'm giving them two starts instead of one. When I got moved to a different man to do my nails, it was evident that he couldn't care less. My nails were done extremely messy and he didn't clean anything up. Definitely don't plan on returning. I went today to get my nails done, it was pretty crowded but they had lots of people working, which was surprising as most nail salons I've been to here are overcrowded with only 3 people working!! He sat me in a chair and brought me the color wheel right away, and waited less than 5 mins for my turn. They were very friendly and personable, she was quick but made sure everything was done correctly. I'll definitely be back again! Thank you! Read Less

My mom and I were in last week for manicures. We were both repeatedly encouraged to do a dipped manicure instead of a regular one or a gel one. We were told how great it is for our nails and so much safer. It wasn't until later when I started doing research and found out that nail techs were not supposed to actually dip nails as it's not sanitary to dip multiple people's nails in the same pot. Also, it's basically acrylic "light" and still just as damaging when removed. I specifically told them I did not want acrylic and they never mentioned that to me. It was my own fault that I caved and went with the dipped manicure instead of what I originally came in for. I'm not sure why they pushed the dip so much, they encouraged every person that came in or called while we were there to do this dip manicure, but I would never recommend it. Read Less

BEST MANICURE EVER!!!! Ann is a nail goddess. The place is so calm and relaxing. I never have to wait more than a couple minutes, and everybody is super sweet. My daughter was down from NY so needed a spa day before returning. She loved the dipping powder, Vivi was adorable and explained as she went. Along with a great pedicure...prices were good and was great to find out that they offer 20% to all teachers, seniors and military. Definitely make an appointment as they tend to run a bit behind. They do get busy! Call ahead and book an appointment or they will let when you know times when they are slow. You can always grab a drink at Truffles if you have a short wait. The Pedi chairs are the best- reclining with massage- I have fallen asleep. Every bowl is given a fresh liner and the tools are sterilized in a Hospital grade Unit for each client. NO worries there! Hygiene practices are the best and the work is of the finest. DO yourself a favor and try them out. You will then discover why they are Blufftons best Nail Salon. Read Less

Had to wait for my appointment for almost 20 minutes. The technician doing my nails forgot to do one fort and when. I asked him about it he got upset. He didn't even use the pumice on my heels but on the bottoms on my feet. I asked him to do my heels and it was like one swipe! I could do a better job in my shower! My friend and I are both pregnant and we needed a great place to relax and get our mani/pedis done. I looked through all the places in Bluffton on Google and Cuticles had the most positive reviews. We made an appointment, which I recommend, even though they are flexible with walk ins. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted and offered a comfortable seat. Not a couple minutes later, we were in our pedi chairs and offered bottled water. We went with the $60 pedi spa treatment which was the most relaxing experience I've felt in a long time. Tom was the one who attended to me and he was very friendly, gentle, and professional. Always had a smile on his face. The lady who worked with my friend was very nice as well. When it came time for the nails, I found myself floating over to the table. Vince, the owner, was the one who took care of my hands. They were the best they had ever looked coming out of a salon. He was very professional, friendly and made me laugh- a very honest, hard-working man who really cares about what he does. This is by far the most positive experience I've ever had at a nail salon and I am indeed making this a monthly visit. BEST BEST NAIL SALON IN BLUFFTON! This salon was recently taken over by a young couple who have a vision for an excellent nail salon. They took over for a previous owner, who was not doing a great job. The new place is WONDERFUL, thanks to the new management. They are professional and creative. I got a mani-pedi here and will definitely return. The foot and leg massage w/ my pedicure was the best- so relaxing. And, I got the new "dip" (Amazing Nails, SNS) for a manicure- beautiful color that lasts weeks longer than gels (and is much easier on your nails). Do not go!! There is a reason the place is vacant and can fit you in. No wonder Lucky Nails is swamped! Completely disappointed and the ladies lounging could have helped the situation but I guess no customer service is better than lame ass service!  They won't go out of business soon enough!  Unbelievable. I made two appts yesterday at 3 0'clock for today at ten.  Confirmed.  I even have the record of the call on my "recents" on my phone. But, when we showed up at 10 this morning they said the appts were for yesterday!!  Duh?  If they can't even get the appts.  Right what else are they messing up?  I will NEVER EVER even try this place again. I had a terrible experience here. I went in for a pedi and they encouraged me to get a mani too. Most places around here are 50-55$ if you get both at the same time. they charged me 75$ for a mediocre mani and a terrible shellac mani with horrible customer service. GO HERE!!! It took me a long time to find a good nail place when I first moved here... The prices are reasonable and the staff is very nice! I've been coming here every two weeks, for about 6 years, and have always been happy w my nails (and eyebrows). Some advice, make an appointment, as it is hard to walk in. I love Cuticles! Read Less

Not only was this one of the worst manicures of my life (the nail polish was painted over my cuticles), my manicurist was rude and seemed to hate being there and doing nails. She made me extremely uncomfortable. I would never go back there or send anyone there. Read Less
