I've been going to this establishment for about 2 1/2 years. There are some who are really good, some that will pad your bill with unrequested add ons, and some that are using you strictly for training. I've used the same person for over two years and always made appointments due to severe medical conditions. Now, I learn they only take appointments on Tuesday and Wednesdays. If you ask questions, they conveniently forget their English and forget getting the credit they promise if they make a mistake. Runs hot and cold. Good pedicures for the most part, but even when they put your feet in hot water it could be another 30 minutes before anyone actually starts on you. My nail tech, Nick is the very best on acrylics, but sometimes with their scheduling it can take 3 hours for a pedi and fill, while I wait... and wait... If you have a half day to kill, then enjoy! I came here trying to get my nails done for prom and I brought my baby with me. The workers didn’t know I could understand them so they talked a bunch of smack about me. I had to wait over thirty minutes AFTER my pedi all while several staff members were walking around doing absolutely NOTHING!! Then when the nail tech sits down she immediately grabs my hand and starts filing away at my nail not once has she said a word to me but is carrying on a conversation with the other nail tech. After about five minutes of her drilling away she finally speaks to me, but it’s short and rushed like she has something better to do. She glues the tips on my nail AND skin surrounding my nail, also all of my nails are each different lengths and here is the kicker! one of my nails is extremely thick because guess what! She couldn’t file it because of the glue around my actual nails!. Prom is in TWO DAYS. This place does not even deserve one star. My most recent visit here I had a pedicure, on my big toe I had an acrylic nail because I broke a toenail about a month back. After actually having to fight with the woman to remove the acrylic (she said I needed a fill in when I could clearly see the length of my real toe nail under the acrylic) she made me move from the pedicure side to the nail side in order to have the acrylic removed and the toenail painted. I waited an hour for a technician to do ONE TOE. They weren’t all busy either. Employees just hanging out all around. Then when I finally got a technician he pulled the acrylic nail off, ripped my real toenail in the process then casually painted over it. He did not even buff down the remenants of the acrylic or smooth my nail or anything. It looked beyond terrible, but I paid and went about my night. I have been here probably 5 times, because every time I’ve had an issue I’ve thought “Well maybe it’s jusy the person I got” and have gone back to face more disappointment! I have been coming here for years, but will no longer be going. I went with two other people to get pedicures. Both of their pedicures got started 5-10 minutes before mine, with two other people that arrived after us being started before me. In the middle of my pedicure a manager pulled my technician away to fix someone else’s nails that had been damaged. This took several minutes because they could not find her original color. The technician retuned and apologized. This wou...ld have been fine, but the rest of my pedicure was rushed through and not done properly. I finished only a couple of minutes after the people who had been started before me and not had a delay. My nails ended up getting damaged. When I went to complain to the manager he didn’t even offer an apology. Another technician was standing by and told him to give me a gift card for half the cost of the pedicure. I asked for a full refund and he stated they could not do that. He offered to fix the pedicure, but I told him I didn’t have time and did not want to return before the poor customer service. My friend and I had our nails done today... The guy kept pressuring me into something I didn't want... Refused to cut them to the length I wanted.. They are seriously thin so probably going to pop off soon... They are very uneven.. And I asked for glitter gel on 2 of my toes and they didn't do it and wouldn't fix it .. My friend had crooked nails and the guy tried to charge her $20 extra for the length (which was pretty short) she wanted... My 4 year old niece has polish ove...r her skin... They are pretty terrible... When I went to pay for mine and the 4 year old $100 I was giving him a tip also he flat looked at me and told me that he wanted more tip (I was leaving him $10)... So yesterday I went to VIP Nails & Spa Anderson, SC Normally I go to Star Nails but they were just too packed I should’ve just waited but for about 2 years now I have been getting stiletto shaped nails but this was my 2nd time getting coffin shaped .. my first experience here was bad but yesterday I tried giving them another try well my nail tech cut the sides of more than one of my fingers with a nail filer (couldn’t get a good picture but the cuts are deep in my skin) yes accidents do happen but I didnt get an apology from ANYBODY not from the nail tech nor the manager . I don't think I will ever return. Everyone was pushy. And I have no idea how I received a full set and my eyebrows done in barely 20 mins. My husband I have been going to VIP since they first opened years ago. The service and treatment have been excellent every time, and the salon is spotlessly clean and beautiful. Several years ago when I broke my heel, I was so excited when my doctor said it was ok to get a pedicure. Everyone was so kind! I was there at VIP Nails yesterday. My daughter treated me for a mani & pedi. Started off ok i picked my toe polish color which was a bright pink an ask them to match my gel polish for my nails because i was rushed to get in a chair. She brought me the bottle an it matches from outside bottle color what she didnt say was it had glitter in middle of it, she should brought the pallet that had color on it & i would of said no its got glitter in it dont match my toes. My toes ...are ok but not smooth painted but nails are dull an sure dont look like gel. An are not painted in the corners & on cuticle of 7 nails. She cut my toes nails cuticles 2 times an made them bleed BAD quote she " said sorry". Then when i got up the foam things that go between toes automatically came off one foot soon as i stood she fixed it rudely. Then when she finished nails i looked down an my toes was already dried but foam thing on same foot came off again i told the other technician she needed to go get her to fix my 2 toes where there was no polish on them & she called her back over there an said quote" She wants you to fix her toes that she messed up not you" very rudely an then they started laughing & talking not in English im pretty sure it was about me. I've been there several times. I've had different guys do my nails. They are too rushed and sloppy. I've had my nails done at other places that do excellent work , so I know how they should be done. I only went to VIP because there isn't a wait. The last couple of times that I went , I had to wait. The guy tried to tell me that I have to get a full set every six weeks. I won't be going back! Been going to VIP for several years. Every time I find a technician that is good and does a good job....they leave. Can understand why now. I waited for almost an hour for someone to do my nails only to be told no one could do them. There was a technician available but he refused to the manager to wait on me. Management is terrible. I will never ever ever step foot back in this place. I am beyond upset right now. My daughter and I went to get our nails done here which I knew better than to go back due to previous times where I had a horrible experience but stupid me gave them another chance. So we all know it's very hard to understand these people well once everything was all said and done my total bill was $130. I was literally sick to my stomach but I paid it, and while she was painting them she was adding this and that while I couldn't understand a word she was saying. Basically I had to pay more for less polish makes a lot of sense huh. Now this is the kicker, 5 days after having my nails on they started coming off along with the gel polish peeling off. So I went up there thinking surely they are going to fix the problem nope, well yes but $20 more $20 more $20 more. YOU HAVE TO BE JOKING RIGHT. So I am to pay 20 more on top of the 58 I already paid for a poor job. So I said I just want the rest of what's left OFF and haha then they try and charge me $10 for that. I SAID NO NOT HAPPENING and so then the I guess manager spoke in their language back and forth with each other (hello I am not stupid I know you are talking about me in my face) psht. I didn't love this place.  Somehow my SNS nails have marks/indentions as if I had regular polish- I think was due to a top coat used. About half of my nails were stuck to my skin and I had to have them re- file. I felt like my pedicure was rushed as well.  My cuticles were cut before being soaked and none after.  It was just an odd experience. Read Less

I went here today. And the man that did my full set was rushing... and I told the man that my right pinky was longer than the left, and he told me that he didn't care. I told him I wanted the medium length and he did them very short. After that I sat in the pedicure chair waiting for 30 min while I saw workers standing around on their phones and just running around socializing with the other workers. We had came at about 11 AM and the place was packed, not the brim but we thought it would be a sure wait for at least an hour. But amazingly, the man had us sat down in five minutes as soon as some seats were open. Some others were waiting but what was amazing was that everybody, every single person, was getting high quality service, being tended to and was willing to wait for pristine, excellent service. Our technicians listened to us and executed our requests perfectly and professionally. The technicians were absolutely amazing, one of my favorite parts of the service. They will go the extra mile for you to be comfortable and helpful to your nails.My friends nails had been brittle and easy to break but lengthy and they recommended SNS powder which is rich with vitamins to help steady nail growth and acts like a protectant cover over the nails. They were funny and great conversationalists, they didn't make any of it awkward and we felt right at home. After the mani, we both did the coconut pedicure and callus treatment and my god, for 45$, you get sooo much done. There aren't enough words for it, it's luxurious, relaxing, exhilarating and soothing. And another note my friend made was that everything was extremely clean and organized. While the technicians were chatting and working, you could see the gears of the business moving but they didn't rush their service and did everything exactly the way you would expect.The best parts had to be the paraffin wax which was warm and gliding onto my feet and then they put on these bulky socks to keep all the warmth inside and the acid peel? I don't know what it was exactly but they put this type of safe mix of acids on our feet and minutes later, all the calluses and dead skin was easily removed. My feet don't feel sensitive or burnt, just clean and smooth to the touch. Another example of the staffs' dedication to taking the extra mile was when my friend couldn't find the nail polish to match her SNS powders color for her pedicure, the technician went searching for a color that matched it exactly. After we were done, they put on our sandals for us and took us to drying tables where you dry your hands and feet. Had we had the time, we would've gotten the eyelash extensions and eyebrow waxing.All in all, though the prices are a bit on the expensive side, you get quality AND quantity as well as excellent service each time you come. This is the worst nail salon I have ever visited. I have been here a few times and tried different services and technicians but the service has always disappointed. Was in town & decided to try this place out. Nothing special on the outside but it's huge on the inside! I didn't expect it to be that big! They have a restaurant like menu of pedicures that they offer with one of the biggest selections I've seen. I tried the sweet almond which was nice. I especially loved the parrafin wrap that was included. A lady a few chairs down from me had the cappuccino pedicure. I could smell it where I was sitting & it made me want coffee!  I'll be getting that one next time!!! I don't like it when places cut down the sides of my nail cause it makes my nails ingrown. Very unhappy. This was my first experience getting artificial nails and was awful. When I returned to complain, I was essentially called a liar, but in a very passive agressive sort of way. I told the manager that I had even referred to customers to them, one of which had already been in. The other cancelled her appointment when I told her about my experience. They obviously care nothing about "word of mouth" exposure and the lack of business or extra business (depending on the experience) it can lead to. I visited family, and wanted to get my nails done I just happen to stop by VIP nails and I never saw such a nice salon. They have about 24 pedicure chairs and 20 nail stations, even with a large salon the wait wasn't that bad and they have a system that ensure smooth service. The staff was very friendly and the finish product was amazing. They have so many options for everyone men, children and of course women. They make you feel so welcome its crazy, offering free drinks and free ice cream for children receiving services! I definitely will be back every time I return to Anderson. Read Less

Even though this is a nail salon and not a true spa, it was a great in-between! They offer numerous treatments at very reasonable prices, and though the place is busy they take time with each customer. There are a lot of staff working who are all very polite and easy to talk to.
