I love this place! The nail technicians always pay super close attention to detail and do a fabulous job on my nails. I got a spa pedicure the other day and the male technician (I can't remember his name but he was awesome) asked me multiple times if everything felt okay, if I liked the way my nails looked, etc. He also did an amazing manicure and was super friendly and professional. I honestly had a great experience here! George did my nails and he did an awesome job! I like my nails (I have acrylic) very thin and he did exactly that! And he took me last minute and did a great job! I will definitely go back to see him again! I went to Z nails three weeks ago and I was thoroughly disappointed by the service (or lack there of) that I experienced.This was my second time at the establishment. I made a 9:30 appointment because I wanted to get a mani pedi before my flight later that day. I arrived a little early and saw that nobody was there. I waited until 9:30 am and no one was inside the establishment. I figured that they were running late and that they should be there within the next five minutes.9:35 and 9:40 rolled around and the business was still empty. By that point I had been waiting outside in the cold for 20 minutes. I had called the manager and he kept on claiming that the girls would be there within the next 5 minutes. 9:45 rolled around and one of the girls came to open the door. Except she had a horrible attitude and DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE for keeping me waiting outside for 15 MINUTES. It gets much WORSE though. She sits me down in one of the chairs and I assume that she was going to start giving me the service. However, 3 customers come in and say that they have a 9:45 am appointment so she starts attending to them first. Mind you, my appointment was at 9:30 am. I politely told her that I had somewhere to go and that I needed to be attended to promptly. However, she gave me an excuse that I was not in her chair and that the girl whose chair it was was running late. My biggest issue was, why did she put me in a chair of a girl who is not there after I clearly had the FIRST appointment??? RIDICULOUS. I have never experienced this before at a nail salon. It was already 10:00 am and I had already waited 30 minutes to get the service while the people had a later appointment were already getting attended to. I hate to bring race into this but the people who were served before me were white and, as a Black woman, I can't help but think this had something to do with why I was forced to wait so much longer. UNACCEPTABLE.By 10:10 am, the girl had not yet come and I had already waited 40 minutes. I picked up my stuff and left and headed up Wickenden street to Metro Nails where they quickly took me in and provided me with excellent service. Moral of the story:1. Z Nails has completely unprofessional workers who are late2. Showed no remorse for being late3. Will not be patronizing their business again and will exclusively be going to Metro Nails which is right up the street. Read Less

Still on the search for the perfect nail salons to call home. Came in around 130 on a week day and no one was there. Including workers. Seemed 3 people called out? Ridiculous. Atleast the girl called someone immediately when we got there because they had an appointment and then us two girls. I waited for another girl to come with my feet in the warm water and in the massage chair. I mean it sucks I had to wait but Atleast I was comfortable. The lady painted my friends toes and then did mine and then the third person came and did our manicures at the same time.As for the pedis it's kinda weird. Basically the normal pedi you would get anywhere else is called a deluxe here. But then they let you basically take things off basically to save money. Like if you just want your nails quickly painted it's called a regular pedi and is 16ish but if you want the massage it's the spa pedi and if you want the salt, it's deluxe. For the same price anywhere else I get all of that plus the hot stones. Idk it does help if you're on a budget but I go to relax and I wasn't feeling it.Gel colors needed to be expanded in the OPI brand. It's the only brand I use and the only had a few colors and almost no pastels which sucked.Though I must say the lady did a great job on my nails. Took a lot of time and they look great. I hope they last a while. I might even come back if they last a long time. All in all this seems like a budget place for college students not the spa experience I'm searching for. Also for 25 I want a massage while my nails dry or wax.Maybe they'll improve once they expand. But still not my cup of tea. Read Less

Went her to get a pedicure with my friend one day and the pedi was perfect! However came back to get acrylics and they are not the best. A few of my nails weren't filed properly so I fixed them as best I could at home. I decided to get acrylics here since my friend did when we went together. I usually go Metro nails and plan to only go to Metro now (they are just a block up). I don't like leaving negative reviews but ZNails in Prov needs to train their staff better with acrylics. My spa pedicure was more like an express pedicure and they weren't even busy! There did not seem to be any attention to detail. The person just went through the motions and did the minimum that might be expected. Read Less
