Had a wonderful experience here the other day. Very clean and friendly. The employees did not speak to each other the whole time like other salons I have been to. Reasonably priced and very clean. Comfortable setting and a place I will become a regular at. Might be the best nail salon I've been to in providence. The Asian lady in the front is racist towards Asian people. I thought racism is over. I'm from San Francisco I never thought I would get treated this way especially from another Asian person. So sad. Awesome place.  Fantastic service.  I was able to make a last minute appt for my mother and I the day before Easter Sunday.  Despite the fact that we were the last people for the day we were very well treated and the service was not rushed in any way.  Both my mother and I got a pedicure.  Justina did a great job on me and even suggested a shade of blue color for me when I mentioned that I liked blue but the color looks horrible on me.  She pulled out this Tiffany blue color and showed me what it would look like on me so I could see for myself.  I will definitely be making many more appointments. a very good manicure. justine has a beautiful technique and takes great care to trim, prep, and paint the nails. some places focus on frills like hot stones or extensive massages but leave you with a crappy mani. justine focuses on what's important - beautiful, long lasting manis! $15 for reg polish mani / $30 mani/pedi special on wednesdays. I'm assuming I had Justina, but I wouldn't know since no one introduced themselves to me.  If you want a job and not a service, I would go here.  She said about 3 sentences to me the entire time I was there for a manicure.  I don't want a chatty Cathy, but at least a smile and maybe a few questions.  If I could give stars for the job, I think it would be about a 4, but I don't like being treated like the next "job" in line.  Granted, it's just before the holiday, but I think even if they are busy, it's still a service they are providing.  Funny thing is that I am looking for a place to get my nails done regularly.  I guess they don't want repeat customers.*the picture is taken after I wrote the review.  A few days after my manicure I realized I started to get a painful bacterial infection from a little nick on my cuticle.  This is the result of unsanitary nail tools. I have had literally hundreds of manicures in my life and this was one of the most pleasant.  My time spent at Justina's was wonderful and incredibly low key.  She was kind, articulate, and obviously knows her stuff.  The environment is relaxed and very personable.  Since the staff is small I would highly recommend calling ahead for an appointment.  I will be back for sure! Based on the Yelp reviews, I tried Justina's today for the first time. I am a very happy customer!I called at 9:15 on a Friday and was able to get an appointment for the same day, at 11:30.  The price of the gel manicure was $30 and this included removal of the gel polish I already had on my nails. Make sure you bring cash for a tip because they won't charge the tip on your credit card!I sat with Kim and I was very happy with her! She showed me a sheet of the various gel colors and was kind enough to pull out a few of the colors so that I could see them in the bottle. She advised that I make my decision based on what the colors look like on my nails, not in the bottle. I'm glad I listened to her!Kim took great care of my nails and cuticles and was such a perfectionist! I love how detail oriented she was and I appreciate the time she  took to make sure every nail looked perfect. I chose a very light nail polish and she was able to apply each coat evenly without making my nails look thick, bulky or uneven in color.I absolutely recommend Kim and Justina's Nail Salon to anyone who's looking for quality work. I called the morning of & was given an appointment for that afternoon, love that! I had a tiny wait when I arrived. The salon is quiet and the nail polish smell didn't carry me off for once. I started with a nice relaxing pedicure & after my feet were massaged, pampered & made pretty I started a manicure, I really liked her pace I never felt rushed & we had some small chit chat along the way. I asked to have a design on my nails - white on the base & a red line towards the tip. She said she can't do a line so I asked for red tips like a french but red instead of white. Easy enough? That is when my excellent experience wasn't so excellent anymore. She couldn't get the french to shape right & in the end it didn't look professional. She honestly tried & I told her it was fine. Saw Justina herself a couple of weeks ago. Her customer service is genuine and definitely isn't overlooked. Her preciseness in shape and how many coats to do is awesome.However, she does not have gel polish, only shellac. Which tends to peel off for me after 5 days. For pedicure she doesn't have parafin to offer clients. Which for me is a must if getting spa pedicure during winter. The massage didn't last long during pedicure which is my favorite part.She's a sweetheart and does a great job. Definitely check her out because she could be your new favorite nail girl. Read Less
