I've been to Citron twice so far for two prenatal massages and a few times just to purchase gift cards. The staff are wonderful, always friendly, always accommodating. There is a small waiting area with snacks and cucumber water (my favorite!) and they offer you a warm neck pillow. There is also a sign requesting peaceful voices in the spa posted in the lounge, so remember this because we'll touch upon it in a bit.For my massage I was able to comfortably lay on my side while hugging a body pillow. I must admit, I'd almost prefer to have every massage done this way as I was super comfortable the whole time. I had the same massage therapist each time, who made sure the pressure was ok and always asked if there was an area I'd like her to focus on. I was completely relaxed and comfortable my first visit, so when they offered me 20% off if I booked another appointment I jumped at it. I decided to do it the day before my baby shower, so I'd be in full relaxation mode before the onslaught of "Wow, you're huge" comments. My second massage starts just as good as my first. I'm relaxed, I'm happy and then...the talking begins. No distinguishable words, but it has become very evident that someone is holding a conversation in a not so peaceful voice somewhere outside of my massage room. And it keeps going...and going. And then two doors slam shut. And then someone apparently drops a lot of things on the floor, and even this gave my massage therapist pause for a moment. And my relaxed mind is gone, wondering how this loud-ish conversation is being allowed to happen in the spa. The nail bar seems far enough away that any conversation happening there shouldn't be heard from where I am, so it has to be happening somewhat close by.As my massage nears the end the talking seems to cease, but I'm still a bit perturbed. Upon exiting the room, a woman comes out of the lounge and in a rather loud voice says to my massage therapist "Oh so you're so and so?" and then she turns to me and goes "And who are you?" Uh, what? "I'm a client" I mumble at the same time as my apparently embarrassed therapist goes "She's my guest!" This woman then spins on her heels and yells a "Ok thanks, see you again in two weeks" to the receptionist. I perhaps have found the culprit of the chit chat outside of my room.I honestly wish I had said something to the receptionist. My guess is this regular client was just chattering away with whomever during my massage and that was what I was hearing. While I can understand how awkward it may be to tell a client (particularly a regular) to please keep their voice down...come on, this is a spa. It should be known, and maybe posting more signs would help if this is an issue? All that being said, I would go back in a heartbeat. I've loved both of my massages and look forward to seeing what a regular non-prenatal one is like. However, if I ever encounter the talking issue again, I will speak up, and I probably also won't be back. Also a tip for parking, try parking further down Angell St where it's two hour parking, and just walk a little bit to the spa. Read Less
