Everyone was super friendly and seemed like they actually genuinely cared about what they do. (Which a lot of places make you feel rushed or weirded out). I really appreciated that they made sure I was understood on how I wanted my nails. If one technician wasn't sure another woman came to help. It was never rushed and they came out so good! worst nail experience ever! go to Got Nails across the street instead and save yourself from not having your nails last!!! Got my FULLSET done 8 days prior to them lifting and falling off. I pulled the remaining 6 nails off with ease. I gave them a phone call and asked what they could do for me and they said only if it happened within 7 days they would fix them for free. they told me it would be 26 to fill, and 3 dollars extra for each nail that fell off. So, id basically be paying for another FULLSET! still don't understand how a fullest fell off within 8 days haha. Do not come here! So many better places on the same street!! Read Less

The place looks great. Really open and clean and they have a good selection of polish colors. I came here because the Google reviews seemed pretty good. I got a full set done and they looked really nice, for 3 days. On the third day, several of my nails had started lifting and on day 5 I had lost 3 nails that popped right off. Just moved here from Boston (married a firefighter) and was desperate to find a new salon so I didn't have to continue to go back to Boston for my nails and hair.....So glad I trusted the reviews on Yelp! Let me be honest here..I had a Groupon which I thought was a steal deal and decided to go for it. Did I read the reviews ? Yes, I did. But, did I mention the Groupon was a deal not to miss ?? So, when did I go in here..about two months  ago.. Why did I take so long to review them.. Simply to see how far and how good the shellac manicure worked in this one. I did a walk-in just one day before my Groupon was expiring.. I was greeted by this lady and she asked me to pick my colour right away. The ambience of the place is pretty good. Big and bright. I decided to go for a pedicure as well along with the Shellac manicure Groupon. The pedicure was a basic one but I was absolutely happy with the pamper. No rushing whatsoever and I was chatting my way off. The one very good thing I liked about the whole experience was that the same lady did both my manicure and pedicure. From start to finish so that I don't have to wonder how another experience would be. I was so happy with the manicure and my hands looked its pretty self. So far most of my shellacs have lasted less than a month n have mostly chipped off leaving my nail kind of dry. Not this time.. My shellacs lasted for a whole month and half before it started coming off..my nail bed was not dry this time. So , I walked into Nail Chic Salon located 65 NewPort Ave Pawtucket/East Providence this evening to get my nails done. The first thing the lady says to me was, " No Groupons." Of coarse she said a whole other things that I couldn't understand. I looked at her and said, I am all set and walked out. Why do they assume that I would be using Groupons?!. I have been going to Jeudy for years because she is the best at acrylic nails. My nails never lift or break and I go three weeks between fills. She does an excellent job with shaping them. They aren't thick and I often have people ask if they are my real nails. The salon is spacious, well decorated, clean and also offers hair, makeup and skin services.... all at very fair prices. They have plenty of parking. I can't speak to the walk in experience because I faithfully make my appointment with Jeudy since they take appointments there. Actually Jeudy and Nat can get quite booked up by those smart enough to preschedule appointments. I also have my hair washed and styled there by Jeudy and receive lots of compliments. :-) Read Less

I will never go back! I received barely a greeting when I walked in as a new customer, picked my color and stood around waiting for someone to tell me I could get in a chair, I was the only customer in the place! The girl that did my pedicure, had absolutely no personality and was too interested in what was on TV and I've never seen anyone move so slow.I had to tell her twice the water was too cold at even then she barely added any warm water to it. When my pedicure was done, I got up and stood there until I said to her "Should I just keep standing here or is someone going to tell me what station I'm getting my nails done ?" I was greeted promptly and told the staff I had called ahead for a shellac manicure. My experience was very positive and the staff was friendly. The girl doing my nails was thorough and precise. Took a while before they started my nails. Think they need more girls working there. Spent a while waiting for them to start my pedi. Felt like I was soaking my feet forever. Did a good job w my pedicure but hated my get manicure. Don't think she painted my whole nail each time and the paint turned out two tones on my hands. Told her about the two toned affect of my nails but she didn't seem phased and I still had to pay full price eventhough I wasn't very satisfied.
