I went today to this bad salon I had a gift card 45$ I asked the girl on register I don’t wanna pay any extra money she told yes ok , i asked her even if i make gail polish she said yes , when i’m done minc and padic this girl told me that I should pay 27$ an extra i told her you didn’t tell me that, she said yes i told you even she didn’t let me see the manager she said let me see the manager inside when she come back she told me i’m a manager , and i paid extra 27 $ because she told me pay or i call the police!!!!!!! she’s laying bad service and so expensive i do wanna back a gain! very unprofessional response. I would really wish people know you and the bad customer service you provide. I am sure the response you provided just assembles the way you treat your customers. I regret coming to this place, and spending my time and money, very poor management and customer service. I hope all people saw how you talked to me because you are laying ( she told me go ahead you can’t pay extra money even if you put a gel then she took 27$ extra) and I paid 10$ tips. I will talk to all people about the Salon and how you let me payed 80$ for bad service and bad manager. all people be careful please!!!!! Read Less

I’ve been to MAK several times. The experiences I’ve had have always been great. The staff is friendly and approachable. But most of all the services are amazing!! I love the seasonal pedicures offered. They come with homemade, scented sugar scrubs and a hot stone massage. I recommend getting that service if you ever stop in. LOVE this place. I've been a customer for over a year. It's clean, the staff is SO sweet and service can't be beat in the area. I made the mistake of trying a different place and left in the middle of my appt to come and finish my service at Mak. Love that it doesn't smell like every other nail salon too. Vee is amazing at massage and my pedi was on point, highly recommend her. She takes her time and does such a wonderful job. Can't recommend this place enough. You do have to call ahead to make appointments, they get booked pretty quickly. Walk-ins are difficult during peak times. I'll never go anywhere else in the area. Read Less

We had hieu and co as our nail technicians and my grandmother and got pedicures. They were very friendly and the pedicure we had gotten was the best we’ve ever had. Not a wonderful experience with two techs today who did pedis on my sis and I. They were laughing and carrying on in Vietnamese the entire time. I felt as though they were talking badly about us. The techs today were rude and not personable whatsoever. This was my sisters first time getting a mani and pedi and it wasn’t a great experience for her. Also we got there at 12:15 for a 12:30 appointment so that we would have time to pick out colors without being rushed but one of ...the techs stood beside us and chewed gum the entire time and made us go pick a chair out to start on our pedicures. Definitely felt rushed and there’s no point to get there early to pick out colors because they will rush you back to a chair right away anyways. All about cramming people in! Asked the woman to please concentrate on removing the rough skin from my heels. After the pedicure it was all still there. My toes are sore from her cutting my cuticles too close. A major disappoint. This is why you do not go cheap with your pedicures. Lesson learned. Read Less

All the nail technicians are very thorough and precise... and the organic spa environment is unparalleled. It's calming, with wonderful gentle fragrances, low lighting, and refreshing beverages. Many of their organic lotions and scrubs are hand crafted in the salon. The menu of services offers specialized selections for athletes which I also appreciate. The employees are prideful in their work and very accommodating. You are offered a complimentary cup of tea, or a glass of champagne if you feel like extra pampering. The salon itself is bathed in calming colors and clean modern lines. The pedicure chairs offer a soothing massage as well. I feel relaxed and my nails are beautiful when I leave. The massage chairs are strong and clean, they have an assortment of pedicures and scents to choose from, if you go after 4pm (I think that is the right time) you can get a complimentary glass of wine, and they work as a team which is nice to watch. They also have a front desk person so the technicians can focus on doing your nails, not answering the phone. They do run specials and offer discounts to teachers during Teachers Week. When I first started going there it was amazing. Everyone was friendly and I felt very comfortable. But that changed very quickly. Not due to the work Angel (the owner) does cause her work is amazing. It was due to how I was treated by her the last time I was there. (which has been awhile ago). She was very annoyed with me being there and accused me of having a staring problem. I will admit that I do look at the work that's being done and when someone talks to me, I tend to look at them. (It's called respect) So if that's having a staring problem, then I guess I have one. I have met other people that know Angel and they have told me about their horror stories about being in contact with her. In closing, if you want nice nails, feel free and go there. I came on a busy Friday night for a last minute manicure before a wedding, and they managed to fit me into their schedule, which I really appreciated! I got the basic gel manicure, and was really happy with the results. I know that the lotion they used was an organic brand, but the chemical smell was still in the air. Most people are upset by this because they advertise as an organic, no smell salon, but the reality is, the gel and other polishes may not come in an organic brand, which means you won't be able to entirely avoid the chemical smells.If you really value using organic products, my advice is to just ask which polishes are organic so you can make an informed decision :) Overall a great experience.
