Must ask for Ann. She did my daughter's nails beautifully! Mine were done by someone else and look kind of lumpy. And my little ones had another girl just do gel polish and one of my little polish peeled of the following day. Had to paint them myself bc she was in my brothers wedding. But Ann is very talented and will do a great job on your nails!!! Always a great experience! My nails are always shaped exactly how I ask and they apply acrylic so well that when they are freshly done they look like natural nails ! Horrible visit. Every time I come here I have gotten only my eyebrows done ($8) and have been able to pay with my card (adding tip for $2). Today, the lady at the front said that they do not accept cards under 10.00. There is NO SIGN in the business establishment with these requirements. I told her that every time I came before there was no problem, the front desk person just charged me the 10 on the card without issue. She denied that as truth and wanted me to walk a few blocks down to the bank and take out cash. She also responded very rudely and nastily that "i don't have to put up a sign cause my customers don't just get eyebrows" I was so insulted. Well I am sorry that I chose to bring my low cost business here. Never again. She literally wanted my to walk blocks for 2 dollars. You need to learn some customer service skills. Read Less

Absolutely horrible service. I will never come back here and I do not recommend it. Flaky policies and rudeness. Every time I've come here to get my eyebrows done the person at the front charged my card for $10 with no problem. 8 for the eyebrows and 2 for tip. But today there was an issue. The lady working there wanted to me to walk down to a bank and take out cash since she didn't want tip on card. I informed her that she does not have a sign up that says the cards will not be accepted under $10 and she responded exactly in a nasty attitude "I don't have to because our customers get more than just eyebrows". Had my nails done by Joy today and damn! She slayed my gel mani! My nails look picture perfect for the 2nd time. She was fast, efficient, and oh so sanitary. I stumbled upon Kenan's when another place was unable to take customers that day. I found them on Yelp. They had great reviews and it was right down the road. Perfect! I walked in and the place was clean and in tip top shape. Not the friendliest. I waited about 15 minutes for my mani/pedi. Not bad. I don't think my entire service for a full mani/pedi was more than 20 mins. They were busy which is understandable. But for a $45 service, she was careless and rushing. It made me anxious. I couldn't even look my nail tech in the face, I was so disappointed. The cuticle care was poor and non/existent and the polish job was fast and sloppy! My massage....more like a feather stroke with some lube. My mani took place at the pedicure bowl where I uncomfortably reached across my pregnant belly while she preformed it to only the one side. When finished she walked me to the dryer, turned it on and walked away! That was it. I said "Thank you" to which she didn't reply. And that was that! I've been to Kenan's a few times and usually love it but I walked out disappointed this past Tuesday. I had a young lady named Sabrina providing my services and I am not happy at all with my mani/pedi. She seemed as though she has just completed cosmetology school but needs more practice. She didn't put a clear coat over my toe polish. During the scrub, she focused on the middle part of my foot leaving the balls of my feet still rough. When doing my gel manicure, she didn't put anything on my cuticles before removing which was uncomfortable. Another coat is needed on my nails and it doesn't go all the way to the tip so the white from my nail is showing. I noticed something was off but didn't say anything in the salon because I thought it would get better. It wasn't until I got home and really looked at everything. I will go back again because I have never had an issue here. My family lives in the area so I go when I am home visiting just will ask to not have Sabrina again. Read Less

It's my first time to write on yelp(yes it was that worst) i really don't complain but if i could give them a 0 star i would. It was the worst pedicure i've got. No massage, very rude, rough on cutting cuticles it was so rough that it hurt. And she did not care to ask. I got there around 3pm and my pedicure ended 3:18. This salon is meticulously clean and has great color selections. The owner, Ann, is lovely and will works hard to make sure everyone has a wonderful experience. I also really like that the put gloves on your hands for a gel manicure to block some of the UV light and that the pedicure tubs are lined. The only thing that isn't ideal is that they don't take appointments on Fridays or Saturdays. Regardless, it's my favorite nail salon in the area! Read Less

My work bestie and I have been coming here for our bi-monthly "girl dates" for over a year.   Needless to say, we LOVE it!  The prices are reasonable, especially when you compare them to any Center City nail salons.  The place is immaculate and beautifully designed and they keep everything in perfect condition.  The owner, Ann is so lovely, and she is our go-to for color choices whenever we can't make up our minds, (which happens a lot, they have so MANY colors to choose from!).  Best of all, the manicures and pedicures are consistently well-done and durable.  Every manicure lasts at least 2 weeks.  This place is great, I highly recommend it! I gave another shot after being charged extra for nail color when not told beforehand.  Girl I had was coughing, but into her sleeve which was ok, but then she sneezed.  She excused herself and went to blow her nose near the sink.  I thought she would wash her hands, but no, she walked back over to me.  I asked her to wash her hands.  After giving me a dirty look, she did, but then excused herself again and went into the back...probably went to bathroom and not wash her hands purposely, IMO!  Forgot where she left off and missed a nail with 2nd coat.  I did bring my own nail dryer polish with me and told her this.  When she was finished she said she would put top coat on in a few minutes.  After a few minutes she reached for my dryer.  told her again this was a nail dryer and she should have put top coat on while at her station...This will be my last visit here for sure! This nail salon is only getting 2 stars because it's beautiful and very clean inside. I came to this salon because I received a gift certificate and it has great reviews, but after being here, I have no clue why it has such great reviews. First, it's expensive. A manicure and pedicure is $37 - that's absolutely absurd. Second, my manicure consisted of my nails being filed, cuticles cut, and nails polished. No lotion or hand massage. She painted my nails terribly and left polish on my skin. Third, during my pedicure, the massage chair did not work. Overall, I would never come here again. Read Less

This place is awesome! Since moving to the area a few months ago, the only nail place I had been to Green Tea Nails, (which I did NOT love). Kenan's just became my regular/go-to nail salon. It's affordable (in my book)- $37 for mani/pedi and $8 for brow wax. It is super clean- they use sterilized packets of tools and have plastic liners in the foot tubs. This is my new favorite salon in the area. I was recommended by a friend and am so glad I made the switch from my previous go-to's. It was newly renovated, clean, and the staff was super friendly. I didn't realize tip was cash only and asked where the closest ATM was. They told me it was down at the bank on the corner but not to worry about it and to just tip next time (even warned me of the $2 charge.) I ended up running down, but it was sweet of them to suggest. I went for a gel manicure about a month ago. From first impressions very different than I originally expected for that particular shopping center. Nicer manicure stations, not the usual formica and simulated wood that you see most often. Marble flooring throughout, natural stone tile work in the pedicure room. You can tell they spent the money for it to look more high end.A lot of gel colors to choose from, which makes it hard to decide. My tech wasn't talkative which was perfectly fine with me. I'd rather they focus on the service than mindless chit chat. She did a good job with prepping my nails, there were a few bumps in the actual polish job which were only noticeable by myself. The manicure lasted a month with no major chips! The only thing I didn't like was that the chair at the manicure station seemed to be too low for the table which didn't have a arm/wrist rest. Returned for gel mani, and pedicure with a different tech. I could tell she has been doing nails for a while with how she cleaned up my cuticles, didn't feel any pulling or tugging at all.  Pedicure was good, leg massage was kind of weak. Overall very clean, tools were in a sanitized pouch, liner in pedicure tub, free wifi, lots of polishes to choose from.  Pricing is average for the area. Read Less

Very friendly and helpful owners. Very nicely decorated, appeared to be very clean. Manicurist didn't talk much, but was more or less nice. The only thing that bothered me was that she left me and never checked on me while drying my nails, so I had to search for her to give her a tip.
