I've had my hair highlighted by Raymond twice and both times I've been very happy with the results. I haven't visited him for a few months now but I do recommend bringing in pictures or really reiterating what you're looking for... sometimes it's easier to be straight forward with your expectations. I started going to Bella Bella after my mother in law recommended that I go there. I have the same stylist Raymond. He is AMAZING. He makes genuine relationships with all his clients. I recently moved to West Chester, and after some online search I decided to try Bella Bella. I had Raymond for a hair cut, which turned out to be a horrible experience. I said at the very beginning that I wanted my hair to be layered and the lower ends to be pointy. Apparently Raymond didn't cut layer by layer at all. After only FIVE minutes of random cutting he decided it was done! (My previous stylist spent at least thirty to forty minutes cutting every time). Obviously the lower ends weren't pointy at all but very chunky. The middle part wasn't thinned and my head looked like a ball. Anyone could tell that my hair looked really bad, whereas Raymond kept saying "look good?!". I had to push him really hard to keep trimming, and he was reluctant to do so. It was obvious that he just wanted to get my hair done asap so he could go back to his other client. My bangs were also ruined. Raymond cut my bangs in wet without even asking me what they looked like before or how I wanted my bangs to be trimmed. I just can't believe how perfunctory my stylist was. No taste, no techniques, no patience. He barely worked with me and didn't care about how my hair turns out at all. Will never come back to this place again! :( :( :( Read Less

I have the most difficult time finding a salon and stylist that I am comfortable with. I've been going to Raymond for 8 months now and I couldn't be happier. Raymond is a great stylist. Very personable and listens carefully to you so there are never any unwanted surprises after the cut or color. He is really creative has well thought-out ideas if you are looking for something different (always making sure you are onboard before he moving forward). Raymond has great you tips on hair maintenance (like how to blow dry in order to avoid flat irons which damages the hair). Also, his cuts/color seem to last a lot longer than my experience with other stylists. I always get a lot of compliments on my color the following weeks after seeing Raymond. I am a guy (not a metrosexual, because there's something wrong with them) and so once I find a place to get my haircut I won't leave (#lazy). So I usually have one or two panic attacks before choosing someone to cut my hair. Michelle was awesome. She knew what style I wanted and was very good about giving advice when I got an updated look. I have had several awful experiences in trying to find the stylist that fit me. I have gone thru NUMEROUS bad haircuts and finally found Michelle McGettigan at Bella Bella. I am 50 years old and had been going to the same person since 1991. I felt as though I was stuck in a rut but changing stylists is hard it's like breaking up you feel like you are cheating on them. I met Michelle outside of Bella Bella and she would always tell me of the shows she would go to in NYC so she could keep up on the latest styles. I loved her enthusiastic attitude. Then in 2007 I went to her and she did a great cut and the highlights were exceptional. Only after I went to her a couple times did she try to suggest changes in my cut. I could tell she wanted me to feel comfortable with her talents. Well it has been 4 years and I think she is exceptional. Never pushes changes on you but if you want one she has an idea. I have been going to her for about five or six years and won't allow anyone else to touch my eyebrows! She takes her time and they are always perfect when I leave, never any reddness or irritation!
