Absolutely terrible experience. I’ve given this place a million chances and it has never been anything but below average. My recent trip set me over the edge, and I will NEVER return. I arrived at 6pm, all 4 staff members were busy, they sat me down in a pedicure chair (which I sat in for 15 mins before anyone turned the water on). I waited 35 mins before I was even attended to. The staff members were yelling at each other, particularly one who was in the back the entire time me and another girl waited for over 30 mins. The owner came in and brought another employee and seemed to be upset with the girls. Pedicure was okay... when it got to my nails it was extremely rushed. The girl cut my cuticle (badly) which not only hurt but wouldn’t stop bleeding. When it came time to paint my nails it was about 1 hour til the shop closed, however the entire staff was cleaning up as if they were about to close. They vacuumed the whole place and stood around staring at me and the girl doing my nails (which was extremely rushed and messy). She took me to the dryer and actually left (no massage), the whole staff stood around behind me as I was the only one in there making me feel extremely uncomfortable and rushed so I only ran my nails under the dryer once... got to my car and smudged them immediately. I was in the salon for 1.5 hours for terrible service, and rushed out of the place even though it was technically open for another 30 mins!

This place is hit or miss. 2 weeks ago the service was fine. Jennifer did s great job. Today I walked in the door with very few customers. I wanted a French gel. My technician didn't understand that I didn't want her to cut my nails. So, someone else interpeted for her Then she didn't understand how thick I wanted the... again someone else interpeted for me. She rushed through because they started getting busy. My middle finger looks like crap. How ironic! I won't be back. I will make the journey to Exton next time?

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.I just moved here from MN and am looking for a good nail place. Let me tell you something - it's NOT STRAFFORD NAILS.First, the woman working to take off my gel polish takes about 30min and TOTALLY destroys my nails. She tells me "never again to have OPI gel polish put on because it's too hard to get off". Um, OK. The place I've been going to for years has had no problem taking it off and doesn't take 1/2 my nail with it. My nails are now weak and peeling - a problem I never had before.Next, that woman gets up and a man sits down, doesn't say a WORD to me, and starts filing my nails. I use the term "filing" very loosely. She ran a file over 8/10 of my nails, stuck them in a heating thing for about 3 min, then got up and left.The original woman then sits down, trims my cuticles back (again, I use the term "trims my cuticles" VERY loosely... they're a mess today) and tells me a THIRD person would be painting my nails. There was only 1 other woman in the place... are 3 people necessary to get a job done? I could see how, if they all specialized in something, this would make sense. They don't.The girl who painted my nails is a Sr. in HS. No training, so schooling. Just working there part time to make a $. She was very nice - but not at all professional and my nails are a complete mess. I'm not exaggerating when I say they didn't last 6 hours. Never again Strafford Nails. Never again.

This place is the worst! Part of the main line nails chain, I should have known better. All the salons must use the same inventory of 60 polish colors from 2002. The same colors are still around-just completely diluted with polish remover. The standard 'ballet slippers' color is offered here however it comes in 3 different shades depending on the concoction they use to stretch the polish. The application was lumpy and gooey. My nails will probably dry in a month. But according to the owner it's because I have bumpy nails... Hmmm... Anyone else ever get that response?Stay away from main line nails.. Even the hand soap is diluted!

Honestly, you're better off doing it yourself. Save your money. I went to Strafford Nails today-- it's Labor Day and I wanted a quick manicure before I headed back to work on Monday. I was away all weekend and hit up Strafford Nails because every other place was closed. I had to wait about 20 minutes before I was seated. I understand it was a holiday and that most stores are closed but rushing does not begin to describe how fast this guy was going. The water was cold, he barely filed and, to make matters worse, instead of using cuticle oil he used some cheap Bath and Body Works knock off raspberry hand lotion. At that point I got up and started to leave-- another woman in the salon said, "wait, don't go, we'll do it right." I said, "you either do it right or you don't" and left. I will never go back and advise you to do the same.

Not only was it a rushed job, it was a terrible one! I will stick to my Philly nail salons for Half the price, quality and customer service! I give it two stars for the quick massage at the end...

Worst gel manicure I ever had! The woman made a mistake on a finger and instead of removing the paint to fix it she kept painting over it and over it. I had one finger that the paint was so thick that it looked like something was wrong with my finger. I also went an hour or so before closing and they were rushing me the whole time.

Only went because my regular place was booked. Going away tomorrow and I'm desperate. This place is dirty, foot spa and foot towel weren't clean had to request other ones, stands that hold creams and stuff are all dirty. They don't have the current nail polishes and the sun shines into the front window onto the nail polish on the wall. Many of them look old. Tech's tools are cheap (dollar store quality) but they are in a sterile packet. She did a fair job. Lame massage, she had a cough and didn't cover her mouth. This is a budget place. Only come here of you're totally desperate and bring your own polish if you want a current color.

I have a wedding tomorrow so I went to stafford nails during my lunch break and it was terrible. the people were ok. didn't talk to you at all but the white tips of my friend manicure is half way down my nail and they only gave me one coat of pink so its blasting white. Another coat would have toned it down. They seem to be very nice to their repeat customers but I was new and didn't get the service I would have liked.

Strafford Nails = Main Line Nails = No. I cannot understand how this place has been awarded "Best Of The Main Line". While it's clean and the manager and front desk folks are nice, the technician assigned to me had no idea what she was doing. She used an emery board that was as rough as 40 grit sandpaper, and sawed back and forth, back and forth -- as I watched my nails go up in dust. (A good manicurist would NEVER do this: filing is supposed to be done in one direction and gently). Not only did she hack them much too short, the shape was a disaster: longer on one side than the other, some nails pointed, others too square. After the third nail, I nicely mentioned what I wanted, but nothing changed so I finally had to say "sorry" and get up. She did have a colleague finish my manicure, but the damage was done. Nail and hand treatment was also inferior .. other Wayne salons do a much better job.

I stopped her because it was close to my apartment, and I was happy with my visit. The staff was very friendly, and they seemed to have a good selection of polishes. My gel manicure was just ok - the experience was good, but it started chipping within a week. I'm on a med school rotation at a hospital where I'm washing my hands a ton though, so I'm definitely going to give them another try before I make a final decision. The prices aren't terrible, and I loved the little neck rub during the manicure.

Strafford Nails has been the "old reliable" around these parts for the past several years.They always have a lot of nail technicians staffed for walk-ins, especially on the weekends and after work hours. The most I've ever had to wait is 10-15 minutes, which isn't bad at all.They have a great selection of nail polishes and designs available as well, and everyone is friendly. Strafford Nails also appears to be very clean as well, which is very important to me. It is bright and inviting, and always a relaxing experience. I've only ever gotten manicures and pedicures here, but they also do waxing.

Absolutely terrible experience. I’ve given this place a million chances and it has never been anything but below average. My recent trip set me over the edge, and I will NEVER return. I arrived at 6pm, all 4 staff members were busy, they sat me down in a pedicure chair (which I sat in for 15 mins before anyone turned the water on). I waited 35 mins before I was even attended to. I was in the salon for 1.5 hours for terrible service, and rushed out of the place even though it was technically open for another 30 mins!

Ummm for this to be the main line with " mainline" prices, I would have expected my polish to last. Nope! My toenail polish and my fingernails chipped the same day! Not only was it a rushed job, it was a terrible one! I will stick to my Philly nail salons for Half the price, quality and customer service! I give it two stars for the quick massage at the end...

Worst gel manicure I ever had! The woman made a mistake on a finger and instead of removing the paint to fix it she kept painting over it and over it. I had one finger that the paint was so thick that it looked like something was wrong with my finger. I also went an hour or so before closing and they were rushing me the whole time.

This place is dirty, foot spa and foot towel weren't clean had to request other ones, stands that hold creams and stuff are all dirty. They don't have the current nail polishes and the sun shines into the front window onto the nail polish on the wall. Many of them look old. Tech's tools are cheap (dollar store quality) but they are in a sterile packet. She did a fair job. Lame massage, she had a cough and didn't cover her mouth. This is a budget place. Only come here of you're totally desperate and bring your own polish if you want a current color.

I have a wedding tomorrow so I went to stafford nails during my lunch break and it was terrible. the people were ok. didn't talk to you at all but the white tips of my friend manicure is half way down my nail and they only gave me one coat of pink so its blasting white. Another coat would have toned it down. They seem to be very nice to their repeat customers but I was new and didn't get the service I would have liked.

I stopped her because it was close to my apartment, and I was happy with my visit. The staff was very friendly, and they seemed to have a good selection of polishes. My gel manicure was just ok - the experience was good, but it started chipping within a week. Strafford Nails has been the "old reliable" around these parts for the past several years.They always have a lot of nail technicians staffed for walk-ins, especially on the weekends and after work hours. The most I've ever had to wait is 10-15 minutes, which isn't bad at all.They have a great selection of nail polishes and designs available as well, and everyone is friendly. Strafford Nails also appears to be very clean as well, which is very important to me. It is bright and inviting, and always a relaxing experience. I've only ever gotten manicures and pedicures here, but they also do waxing.
