Everyone was so nice the first time I went and for the most part, they were nice today. But the stylist working on my nails seemed offended when i asked for a change, saying it wasn't really her fault that they weren't done correctly the first time. And double check the services you are getting. Their price list had a service that requested and I guess they didn't understand what I was meaning because even though it's on the price list, they don't offer it anymore. So th...ey did a more expensive service and I ended up paying more than i planned. I don't normally tip low and I hated to do it, but i didn't have enough cash. (I brought enough for the services I requested totalling $21 plus a healthy tip...but it came to $28 because of the service I hadn't planned on. ) I have been here a few times and generally like it. My husband and I have been a fan of this salon since the day it opened because of the amazing work that they do, but unfortunately, we will no longer be patrons any longer. On 11/24 I went into the salon to receive a gel nail polish service and I was unhappy with the results. I will also add that during the time of the service as I attempted to voice my concerns to the technician, she was very short, dismissive, and uninterested in my feedback pertaining to the service that I paid for. After I tipped the woman, paid for the service, and left the salon, in an attempt to resolve the matter quietly I retrieved Danny, the store owner, over the phone and had a very pleasant conversation and he further assured me that I could return to the salon to receive the same service to my liking on 11/25. After arriving to the location and reaching the front desk I asked to speak with Danny and was told that he wasn’t at the Celebrity Nails location, so I proceeded to discuss the matter with the Store Manager who claimed to had been briefed on the matter. The Store Manager then proceeded to call the same technician over and berated her in another language in front of me, the staff, and also the other customers which was extremely embarrassing to have encountered the ordeal. Furthermore, after the technician was dismissed, the Store Manager then proceeded to challenge me about how she didn’t see a problem with my nails, and then yelled at me that if I have a problem that I don’t need to talk to Danny. The whole ordeal was embarrassing because not only did it cause a scene and gain the attention of the entire salon, but it was also extremely confrontational, and I did not appreciate the manager’s combativeness and lack of professionalism. I have spent so many resources here and never had a problem until this day. I love this nail salon as well as there other location [Hollywood nails] on state road. They are all extremely friendly, professional, amazing nail artists. I also work in the beauty industry so I'm picky as hell! This nail salon is my permanent nail salon. I went to this salon for the first time yesterday and everything greatly exceeded my expectations. My refill, pedicure and eyebrow wax came out perfect and I never had to utter a word. This is the first salon that made me feel like they cared about the services they provide in exchange for the money I'd pay. They took their time, checked and double checked to make sure my services were grade A. I'm one of those women who still get regular manicures, don't care for gel. However, I always struggle with peeling polish by the 3rd day after my mani. I've been here a few times now and the quality just keeps getting worse. I've enjoyed coming in and the staff is delightful but the each time I come in, I leave disappointed with how my nails look. My nails are currently lumpy and poorly painted. The acrylic is chipping in one area from being buzzed too thin and on a different nail it is twice as thick. I'll be trying out a new place next week. Of course I have to give a 5 star rating! Kelly and judy are my favorites but I love all of the staff. The same owner (Judy) as Hollywood nails and I had to check out her new place! Highly recommend this location because it's new and it's nice and has all the latest nail care and even does tattoo eyebrows! This salon/spa is my new go to. Thanks so much for your hard work ladies!
