Usually just review restaurants but after my visit to this place, I had to write a one. Let me start with a positive...my manicure was good. I liked the final results. However....THIS PLACE NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING. The station were I got my manicure hadn't been wiped down in a long time and was visibly covered with dust. All of the jars on the table were grimy.The shot-glass style container used to dip the brush in to clean the manicure lines was disgusting. I look around to see if it was just the station were I was but the one next to me looked just as dirty. I know that its been snowing lately and people track in dirt but the floor also needed to be wiped.The baseboards are covered in layers of dust. I was going to get a pedicure as well and had taken my shoes off before she painted my fingernails but after seeing the dirty conditions around me, I couldn't bring myself to do it. To top it all off, I watched as my manicurist put the utensils she had used on me back into the plastic bag and she put them in her drawer. In her defense, I did not see her use them on anyone else but it seems like a good possibility. If some attention is spent on cleaning this salon up, it might be a nice place to try again. Read Less

Horrible. I took my step daughter to get a mani and for myself, a full set acrylic with gel. My poor daughters nail polish only lasted 5 minutes, I'm not even exaggerating. The girl who did my nails was so sloppy and my gel polish chipped in a day. She clearly does not take pride in or like her job at all. I went and got my nails redone elsewhere two days later. I have been going here exclusively now for about 2 years and couldn't be happier. The shop is warm and inviting and owner Wendy is friendly and very experienced. I was recommended by a friend and can't thank her enough. I'm getting ready to move a hour away but will definitely make the trip monthly to have my nails and toes done along with my eyebrows waxed. It's very difficult to find a salon that is clean friendly and does a fantastic job every time. for those who wrote the bad reviews, maybe you should have put your energy into returning and allowing the shop to fix their mistake and saved your money and your opinion until after that. At least then you would have a valid opinion and voice. By simply running away. You wasted your time and money. If you were a business owner wouldn't you want your customers to give you that courtesy?? What has happened to human decency to treat others as we would want to be treated?? Hopefully you have found a shop that you like and will give them the chance to keep your business rather than writing a bad review again!! To all the staff at fancy nails. I was up visiting and wanted to get my nails done.  I chose this place over the other one just down the street and that was a big mistake.  I was a walk-in and I didn't mind having to wait but the girl that did my nails was so unprofessional.  Texting on her phone and had this attitude like she didn't want to be there.  The main reason they get one star from me is because my gel manicure, which was supposed to last at least 10 days, started chipping in 3.  3 DAYS!  And the girl didn't even do a good job in the first place, there was polish on my skin and bubbles on two of the nails.  Needless to say I wasted $25 and I will not be going back.  Maybe you'll get the owner or someone better but please use caution before wasting money here. I have been going here for about 9 years and I'm never dissapointed. Wendy is the best in the area, hands down. She's very friendly and my nails always come out fantastic. Three years ago, I moved to Arizona and I still get my nails done when I visit Pennsylvania. She's also amazing at doing eyebrow waxing. Horrible!! I have been going here for years, and Wendy has always done my nails and brows which always looked good, problem is it was only really her working alone and you would wait forever. She finally hires help and they have no idea what they are doing! There's only ever 2 workers and it takes forever to get anything done. Last couple times she makes me wait for the guy that has no idea what he is doing, while she just sits there or disappears. Just not into her business anymore! I went to another place after walking out disappointed with butched up nails, and I'm glad I did, there are new and exciting ways to do your nails with less damage to real nails, fancy nails needs to get with the times! Finally a salon with gr8 designs, gel colors and rhinestones!! I've been looking for a salon in the Poconos for years that works with crystals but no dice. Thomas gave me a Gorgeous Gel French Fill shaped perfectly with Bling. Wendy expertly created a fancy design with bling on my toes. I couldn't be happier. PLEASE READ MY STORY ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT:I called in the morning for an appointment with Wendy and when I arrived she was doing another client. I sat and waited for about 20 minutes when a guy said he would take me now. I showed him what I wanted my nails to look like shape and color and he proceeded with doing my nails. He starts shaping my nails and I realized he made them square and I wanted them round. When I told him this he replied "I should have told him earlier." and I said to him that I did prior to him starting my nails and he says "I forgot." Then he starts filing away at my nails trying to reshape them. After all of that he gets ready to paint my nails and I look at my free hand to see how the shape came out and I was pleased. So he's applying the polish and he only does one coat and he says "Two coats would be ratchet and it looks like a marshmallow." I just made a face because I actually love the color I get with two coats of that polish. At this point I was running late for work and had no time to fuss over another coat of polish. So as I was leaving I got in the car and looked at my nails my right hand was not the same as my left! The shape was square-oval,some nails were longer than the other, and some were just crooked due to a sloppy application of acrylic. I called immediately and I spoke to Wendy and I was assured at I could come in the next day to get my nails redone. I called the next morning to make sure I didn't have to wait and I could just come in and have what I needed done. Of course when I call the guy who did my nails answers and tells me Wendy went down the street to Dunkin Donuts and would be back shortly. I made my way down to the nail salon because I figured by that time she would be there. Of course she wasn't! I sat there for almost 45 minutes waiting on her and I wasn't greeted or asked anything in that timeframe. Finally I got up to ask the guy that did my nails when she would be in today and he said she would be back soon. I gave it another 15 minutes and finally she comes in and says nothing to me. The guy says something to her in their language and she says "No. I'm not doing them, she wants you to redo her nails that you did yesterday." I said "No, I want Wendy to do them." and Wendy walks in the back as if she didn't hear me and I stormed out. I called them twice to let them know how upset I was that I was treated this way and that I would be calling my credit card company, but I was sent to voicemail. This is an example of POOR customer service! I would never recommend anyone to get their nails or anything else done at this establishment. They don't have great shades of polish and most of them are old and settled. The place where they do eyebrows is not up to health standards and I will be contacting someone regarding that issue as well.GET YOUR SERVICES DONE HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!! Read Less
