I’ve been going to bamboo spa for about a year now and everyone here is so helpful and friendly! Linny does an excellent job on my nails every time! The entire staff if very friendly and accommodating, they even opened early once to work around my busy schedule! I bring my 6 year old granddaughter in to get her nails done and they spoil her and treat her just like a princess! Mediocre service, store owner discriminated against me because I asked to have my lashes done while my 4 year old son was asleep in his reclining stroller/cot. Drove 30 minutes to get there and had informed them on the phone that my son would be with me. I find it very sad that being a mom of a special needs child I am not entitled to equal rights as people without a kid. The store owner, from China, came here to the USA and an equal opportunity was offered to him as if he was born American. Unfortunately he does not go by these laws in his shop. they don't really massage your legs for long even if you pay for a spa pedicure. the dry skin at the bottom of feet/heels is still there after the pedicure, and they say that they only scrub a little bit, and use the buzzing machine on calluses. Well, i can scrub the heels at home myself after a good hot water soak, and remove all the dead skin quickly with just a scrubber. Other spas have done better with dry skin removal from the heels, especially for people who walk around barefoot in the summers! Read Less

This is my go to place! Started going here about 3-4 years ago, just for Brazilian wax. Kena is the absolute best! Makes you feel so comfortable in what most would find an uncomfortable situation! I still went to another place primarily for eyebrow waxing and pedicures. Now, I am a Bamboo VIP member, as is my mom! Below are services I've had there, but not all they offer. *Manicures - I just get plain old manicure, I don't get any kind of special nails. *Pedicures - I've had regular, spa, luxury. I suffer from chronic migraines, so they have ones that help that. They are amazing. I mostly go to Kena, but I think I've gone to almost everyone who works there!*Eyebrow/Lip waxing - I was nervous because anytime I ever went anywhere but the place I've been going to for 13 or so years, it didn't turn out well. You won't be sorry!!*Spray tan - again, Kena makes it not uncomfortable. *Facials - Mimi is a rockstar! *Massages - I've had full body & also just a scalp massage, because of my migraines. Update: Thank you for your follow and I would kindly to advise you to recheck your cameras. Your 4pm appointment arrived at 4:30pm with another customer both requesting the same nail tech. Therefore my 4:30 pm scheduled appointment was pushed back to 6:15 pm. As a business, if a customer has a scheduled appointment the business should not show Bias towards another customer. The business should notify the customer they are 30 minutes late for their appointment and offer another nail tech, then provide the service to your 4:30pm appointment that was on time. Excellent Customer Service should be a major part of any business. Walked in and request specific nail tech and was told you have to schedule and appointment even though walking are accepted. Two weeks later called and schedule and appointment with specific tech. I arrived 45 mins early to get a pedicure as a walking before my 4:30pm appointment. The was no one available and there was a long wait. I was notified by the tech that I requested that the appointment was scheduled by him but he did not notice the request. I told that there was a 4pm customer they just starting them and I would have to wait or get the pedicure while he waits on another customer. So another hour later the tech started my nails. I have been going to the Bamboo Spa for several years now and absolutely love this place!  So, being a Delaware County native that passes a nail salon on nearly every block on the way to Bamboo Spa, what sets this place apart from the rest?The professional, courteous and talented staff are so accommodating and sweet and provide excellent customer service.  The salon is very clean and I appreciate the fact that you can see that the manicure/pedicure implements are in sealed, sterilized packages, opened just for you.  They offer a huge selection of nail colors in regular nail polish, UV polish dip powder, from several different brands and are always offering the classics, as well as the newest, on-trend colors.  Bamboo Spa takes appointments, but also accommodates walk ins.  Oh! And those wonderful massage chairs!Gene gives the most amazing pedicure!  After being escorted to the massage chair and offered a beverage, I just lean back and let him work his magic to restore my feet to the baby smooth skin I was born with.  (I am a barefoot girl in the summertime and my feet show it...) Gene is obviously skilled in reflexology and gives the best foot rub/massage I have ever gotten at a nail salon.  He works the calves, shins and heels paying careful attention to my calloused spots, working with salt scrubs, moisturizer and an application of warm lotion that really sinks in with the application of a hot towel wrap.  What is especially luxurious is that Gene takes his time, not rushing through the pedicure, but allowing you to savor every minute of relaxation.  There have been times Gene has had to gently wake me up to move on to my manicure.On to the UV manicure.  This manicure lasts me two weeks straight-(In my world, this is impressive, since I am an avid gardener that tends to wear out the tips of my garden gloves, so you can imagine what I put my hands through!)  My mani probably could last much longer, but my nails grow really fast and I like to keep them neat.  I like the fact that Bamboo Spa wraps your nails to remove the UV polish rather than soaking nails directly in Acetone, which dries out your fingers.  Hands are soaked in lemon water, and again, you'll be treated to lotion followed by hot towels to soak it in.  If you visit Bamboo Spa's Facebook, you can see examples of their work all the artsy designs they do on nails.  Everything from classy and sedate to crazy, over the top artwork.  I cannot say enough positive things about this wonderful, family run business.  Give them a try- you will not be disappointed. I chose Bamboo because I've been looking for a nail place and found they had a coupon! The owner gave me a hard time accepting it because it expired. Good stuff. I felt fancy and went with the $40 detox pedicure. Simone gave me life. She spent over an HOUR massaging and giving me a little piece of Heaven. I was parched. They gave me a bottle of ice cold water. I wanted coffin shaped nails & she delivered. Her tip was well deserved. I saw the sign posted about the $1.49 surcharge for using a card; they have an ATM on the premises. They'll also give you the $0.99 back for the fee the ATM charges you. Come here, get pampered. I've been going to this establishment on and off for about two and a half half years. The quality of their work has been subpar. I usually have no problems with a gel manicure lasting for about the whole 2 weeks maybe a nail falls off within the last 3 days of its life but I had one fall off the next day and then I have 3 fall off by 3 days after the manicure. I came back she address the four nails that fell off without a problem but then the new gel she put on also fell off. They literally charged me for a half price manicure and then said if any more fall all you have to pay per nail as if it was a change of color. After that I gave them a break for awhile. I returned yesterday for the holiday to get my nails done again and gel manicure my complaint this time is I wanted the glitter that's fine it has to be three or four coats not a problem I've had glitter nail polish a lot. Its my favorite very girly. I watched her put on the four coats and then start so literally glob one glitter on the top so my nails about maybe a quarter inch thick. Go under the light a few times I come back to put another layer on it alright she supposed to know what she's doing my nails are done all the gel has ran to the side of the nails and there really really thick. My biggest problem is that she recognized the problems she recognized the error and she polishedthem put the hot rag on me and said we're done. Love this place! I've been going to this spa/salon for about three years faithfully. Everyone is amazing at everything they do and are EXTREMELY friendly and accommodating. I normally go to Keena for mani/pedi and definitely waxing. Sith and Mike are also my favs! As far as nail colors, the choices are endless! I am obsessed with gel and shellac polishes ($25-$30) and this is the only place I've found in the area that has the most choices!!If you're a fan of the Brazilian wax, I've found their prices to be relatively cheap compared to most Brazilian wax prices ($35+ compared to $80+ at other salons). Only thing I cannot comment on would be the massages/spa services. I normally don't get massages anyway so I never had a need to get one, but I've heard from other regulars that they are amazing. I typically go here at least 3 times per month and I wouldn't have it any other way. Don't let other reviews discourage you from giving this place a try. I have recommended this place to my friends and family and they travel miles to come on a regular basis. I highly recommend this place to everyone! Read Less

We went to this salon for a bachelorette afternoon and we had the place to ourselves. They treated us like queens and didn't rush us to go home. Since then I have been going there (and I was with my old nail salon for years). I have been to most of the people in there and have never had a bad experience but Rea (Employee #1002) is my favorite. She is professional, funny and great to pass the time with while being there. I'm a lifelong Delaware County resident but never heard of this gem of a spa until I got a great livingsocial deal for a 1 hour hot stone massage for $40.00 (regularly $85). Located on Baltimore Pike in Springfield where traffic is really nuts, its easy to miss this place. Once I walked in though, it was all calm and serene.  It seems like this spa does a hard core nail business, and looking at their menu of services I'm excited to go back and try one of their many mani / pedi options.  The actual massage was great.  I had Linda, who was friendly and down to earth.  She actually works with the hot stones, instead of letting them sit on your skin.  It was a great treat to myself.  Only downside...do not park in the front of the store.  Unless your a daredevil and you like danger!  Use the back parking lot.  I didn't know about the lot before my visit and parked out front where the trunk of your car is basically 5 feet away from the Pike.  I'm excited to go back and get my nails done! This place is like no other nail salon I have ever been to and believe me I have been to many nail salons around Delaware County. This is like going to a downtown salon without the price or the crazy parking in the city. The place is very clean and the employees are super super nice! They offer parties and girls night outs. I have had a facial there and it was great! They use dermalogica products which I have used for many years now and it is hard to find spas that use it.
