Been here three times and although it is clean & staff is friendly, the wait is always too long & they don't seem to have a handle & who is next for service. Also, my nails only look fair. I don't get anything difficult. Just a basic mani/pedi. And I like my mani short & neat. I've tried three diff techs. The last two struggled with making my mani look neat & fresh. The last tech was a man & the reason why I will not return. My nails looked as if I'd done them myself. And that's not a good look. I was on my way to another salon in the area but decided to try them out instead. It was packed and the wait was long but that was to be expected on a Saturday morning. Paul hooked me up with my first dip powder set and I'm so happy with my nails I can't stop looking at them!! He explained each step of the process which I appreciated and didn't rush even though it was crowded. I'm so happy I stopped here instead because EVERYONE was super nice and personable. This was my second time going here. I like this nail salon. They stay open until 8:30 on Saturdays, which is good. They have an amazing selection of colors for regular, gel, and powder polishes. The staff are very friendly. I do not recommend going on a Saturday night unless you absolutely have to. I got there around 7:25. The wait was nuts. It was about 45 minutes. I decided to stop in for a manicure after reading such raving reviews about this place. While the owner was very friendly and welcoming, everything else was the worst I have ever experienced in a nail salon. I picked a classic pale pink Essie color and throughout the rest of manicure process the nail tech kept asking me if I wanted to change it. After politely saying no three times she tried to up-sell me and get a gel manicure, which I also declined. My nails were not filed, buffed or cleaned thoroughly and the polish came out awful. Very surprising since the bottle was practically brand new. I don't know if she was trying to conserve polish or what but the polish strokes were so uneven and my nails looked sloppy. Even at the dryer there wasn't any cuticle oil for nourishment. The whole point of going to a nail salon is to feel relaxed and this experience was far from it. Cash only. Read Less

I came to red lotus, after deciding that I wanted to be frugal in 2018. I called 24 hours in advance to see how much a refill with gel polish and a pedicure would be be. They replied with $50. I came at around 11:30 am, and did not leave until about 2:00pm. I do not mind waiting for quality service. My pedicure was okay, I guess I'm used to hot stones and paraffin treatments. I guess it was worth the $25. I then moved on to my refill. She shaped my nails very nicely. I decided to go with ombré French (trying something new).My nail tech did a good job on the look. When it came time to pay, I was surprised that I had to pay extra for cut down, and a new shape. I ended up paying $68 for my services. THEY ARE CASH ONLY. I only took out $60 because I thought that would cover my bill. So I had to take out more money to cover the cost. I would go back, for the nice shaping. Read Less

My first visit was quite the experience. A little wait having to walk in on a Friday night, yet was still seated to a young tech with a bright personality. Though still seemingly wet behind the ears on the type of product that was placed on my nails, the sit still fun lasted 2hrs for a refill. Needless to say my nails were flawless. My next visit not so much... I sat waiting for the same tech for over an hour, briefly chatted to the kind owner that seemed to be even still confused that I was not yet served. Eventually I left. 2nd Visit felt like a sure win. I was willing to take any available and was knocked down to having wait another hour... extremely disappointed, extremely frustrated. With my patience, I still try to the shop one more chance. I decided to attempt a morning walk in, signed in for a refill, waited 10 minutes to be seen. The tech that I was assigned was not even certified to complete the correct application for my nails and was asked to wait another 30 minutes for the CERTIFIED tech to arrive. At that point, I was done and left the shop mentioning that this was my 3rd and final attempt. Though this establishment seems upscale, trendy and energetic, I highly question the service and accountability that this inadequate staff reports. I can actually say that I enjoyed myself while getting my nails and eyebrows slayed, why, well because the staff is super awesome, fun, cool and let's not forget professional.So I came across Red Lotus by just having a thought in my head on a Saturday morning. I simply woke up and said, I think I want to get my nails done, yupp, I'm going to get them done and that's what I did! So I came into the salon not having an idea of what I wanted. The young lady was able to explain to me the different kinds of ways you can style your nails such as you can get them dipped, you can get an overlay, you can get a gel set or this new thing they call chrome nails. I've been to this nail salon twice now, once for a full set of acrylics ($30) about three weeks ago and again this past tuesday (12/5/17). The workers are cool and I loved talking to them!I have small nails so it was fairly easy for nail techs to sculpt and paint my nails.  I had rounded square nails that I filed into a round as the got really long.My fill was $15 and it was done by a nail tech named Anna. She was great, and was spot on with matching the polish color in the picture I showed her. She also gave me a little hand massage with an almond lotion. She wiped it off with a warm damp towel amd then polished my nails.I was given a ticket after my nails dried amd paid at the front. I came here to try out the new spot on a whim. I was immediately greeted by the courteous staff. I sat down with Thao. She was literally the most helpful nail technician I've ever met. She did my nails- she explained the difference between a set, gel, and dip. I had only ever heard of the first two. I was glad to learn of a happy medium between gel and a regular paint. One that wasn't as hard on your nails as gel. She waxed my eyebrows, and was very meticulous with her technique. My eyebrows look AMAZING! I can't wait to go back and get a mani pedi- I'll be using Thao and trying this technique I saw her do on the person before me. In need of my nails done I decided to go local and experience a new spot. Unfortunately, it started off not so hot with no appointments and being encouraged to get there at 930 for walk-in service. Alright I could handle that, then to get there and the doors not open til 9:50 on a dreary day. Alright, well whatever I'll see what's next...the experience never improved. My pedicure looks alright but my gel manicure was not at all something I feel I can go out in public with. My skin is sticking to nails and I have polish all over my fingers. Sad day for my nails. I had a PHENOMENAL experience while visiting Red Lotus the other day - so much that I had to be sure to leave a review. I went in around 6pm on a Wednesday evening and unlike most salons that are usually preparing to close at that time, I was greeted and welcomed in without being hurried to pick a color. Nick offered me a bottle of water and asked me about my day, which added a warm, personable touch to my experience. In my opinion, a nail salon experience should be as relaxing as a massage/body treatment spa feel. At Red Lotus, I felt just that.Besides the great atmosphere, my refill and pedicure were both perfect. I was not pleased with the shape of my nails which I had completed at a different spa, but my tech at Red Lotus certainly shaped my nails to my liking, and helped me (one of the most indecisive people ever) to pick a color that I absolutely loved. I decided to come to this salon for 2 reasons:- My friend went to this salon a week prior & she raved about it!- I live 2 minutes away and decided, why not...I need a refill and my previous technician [at another nail salon] didn't make my nails the right shape. I didn't regret it. I've NEVER had acrylics filed down & shaped as correctly as they did it here. I really wish I could remember my tech's name, but she was so sweet. I asked for an almond shape and I got the best almond shape I could ever ask for. I also asked for gel on top of my acrylics and the price came out to be $30 [note: I came in for a refill, so I already had acrylics on]. $25 for a pedi, $10 for a half ass manicure (nails aren't neat,dirty,  and hang nails on the side she claim she couldn't fix), no discount for getting them both even though the manager said there was. No designs, you have to find something on your phone, nice layout, hours are convenient. Last client at 830.i got there at 8ish and left out around 10 though. I visited this place with my mother and we both really enjoyed our experience. I particularly loved how the technician took care of my mother and really paid extra attention to the extra "stuff" that my mother had in btwn her toes. My mother is an older adult, and I always pay attention to how she is treated when she goes out. The technician was extremely friendly, showed us pictures of his son and other pictures on his phone. I don't think I've met a friendlier staff. When getting beauty services, ppl go for the entire package. They not only want the requested service done but want conversation, water, tea, etc. The entire staff, including the owner, Nick, were very friendly and accommodating  to my mother. I assumed this place was great from the other reviews, but my experience wasn't so great. Work was a rushed and sloppy $80 full set and pedicure. I was literally the only customer in the salon. It was 1100 in the afternoon and everyone seemed more concerned about the neighborhood gossip. Female who painted my nails didn't apply the top clear coat (gel polish) so it started to ripple. I have been here a few times now so far my favorite technician is Sony (coffin shape acrylic). The owner is nice, offers fresh coffee and bottled water, very sweet man. The Red Lotus Spa and nails is an obvious favorite that stands heads above the rest. I've had a number of bad experiences with nail salons in the city bad service, cheap polish job etc. None of that here. They offer great nail and waxing services. I love that fact that all instruments are sterilized in autoclave which is the same machine that kills 100% bacteria, viruses etc. They are simply the best, comfortable seating, incredible service and a genuinely caring energy make me return as often as possible.
