I'm still very much over the moon about the gem of nail salon. I've been to many nail salons in Philly and other cities such as NY and LA. But none of them compares to Raw Lab Spa top-notch spa services and manner of conscientious care for their customers. They carry a large amount nontoxic, vegan nail polishes, as well as gel polishes. The regular manicure can last about a week without any chipped and gel manicure can last up to 3.5 weeks. I contacted this salon requesting an appointment for my husband for his birthday and a woman by the name Tiffany told me that that the spa doesn’t take new male clients. She then hung up on me as I was speaking. I am very disappointed in this as this particular spa came highly recommended. Best nail salon south of the river! I moved here from Oklahoma last year and tried many nail technicians. This is by far the most professional, clean, and talented nail salon I've been to since moving to Minnesota. I will drive out of my way and wait as long as I need to in order to get my nails done. I visit biweekly and they are busy but that's because they are GOOD. If you don't like waiting then I suggest making an appointment ahead of time. They have a HUGE selection of colors and always trying new techniques and polishes to keep up with the trends. Haven't seen anything they can't do. I read the fantastic reviews of Tiffany's spa, so I decided to check it out for myself. It did not disappoint in any way. My services included a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I've had my fair share of manis and pedis in my life, and I must say this was one of the best, if not the best manicure and pedicure I have ever had. Tiffany took her time, was meticulous and paid such close attention to detail. The spa was small, quaint and the chairs so comfortable, I felt like I was lounging in my own house. She spent so much time on both my manicure and pedicure and I felt relaxed and rejuvenated at the end of my treatment. I will absolutely be going back and will be switching my nail care over to her! I have nothing but good things to say about Raw Lab Spa! I paid $38 for the Cucumber Spa Pedicure, and it was worth every penny. It included a wrap of fresh sliced cucumbers, a hot stone massage, scrub, lotion, and of course the actual pedicure. The salon is very small with only two stations, but clean and beautifully decorated. The people who work here are lovely and put a lot of thought and effort into the experience. I will never walk into a nail salon again. Tiffany is excellent she's very personable very professional her nail salon is extremely clean and they use organic products. this is a appointment only Salon, so your time is your time which I love! They are very reasonably priced and they have excellent color selection. They even give you the best ginger tea I've had. They also have Samsung tablets, so you can watch those episodes that you may have missed or listen to music while you're relaxing. I would highly recommend this Salon over any others around. I don't want more people to know about this spa, but they deserve all of the credit! Tiffany, the owner, is so attentive and accommodating! I love the natural products used in the salon. Not everything can be all natural, but they only use the most organic polishes they can find while providing education on the products. In addition, I'm a nurse and wash my hands/ use sanitizer countless times a shift. My gel is on two weeks without a single chip! This is by far the longest lasting manicure I've had hold up! Love it! Everything that has been said about Raw Lab Spa is accurate. Over the past year, I quit treating myself to nail appointments after my local spot lost its appeal. I had transitioned from acryllics to natural nails, and was increasingly aware of the damage of chemical laden polishes.My search for an organic spa presented 2 options, Raw Lab Spa and Mi Cumbia. Booking with Raw Lab Spa was a breeze, and Tiffany texted a confirmation within the hour. While my 1st appointment was delayed by 30 minutes, I made good use of the time to indulge in Cheu (do it!)I was warmly greeted by Tiffany on a dreary, overcast evening. She provided nail color palettes and had me select my color while she mixed up magical concoctions for the Creme Brulee treatment. The treatment consists of nail shaping, cuticle removal with a mint oil, cuticle oil, coffee soak, buffing, a milky arm mask, mocha coffee scrub and a vanilla coffee oil massage. A natural gel removal can be added on for $5, which is a valid surcharge since she painstakingly removes the polish in a way that doesn't damage your nails (5-15 minute process.)I've always viewed a nail appointment as a task to check off. Tiffany makes it enjoyable, relaxing and delightful. Between the soft music, quiet atmosphere, comfy chair and heavenly smells I was lulled to sleep (that's a first!)I've recommended Raw Lab Spa to everyone I know for a luxurious, intimate and non-rushed nail experience. Very bad service! I'm writing this review behalf of my friend & I. My friend, she made an appointment online about month ago to get her pedicure done for the next day. When she walked in for appointment Tiffany the owner told that she did not have an appointment booked under her name so she turned her down. I told my friend she needs to text Tiffany to confirm the appointment (which she did not do). We let it go did not say anything since my friend did not 'confirm' the appointment via text. Yesterday my friend just walked-in to Raw Lab asked if they have any time available? Tiffany said no nothing is available book the appointment online. So we did and right after making the reservation we made sure to text the number that was provide to confirm the appointment. She replies today (a day later) saying that 'She didn't get any appointment for her today.' So I actually walked in right after the text messages to find out what's going on. After the second time I think anyone would be little disappointed at the service (& I was very disappointed). So I simply asked her what's going on? (I have everything recorded because she was telling me that I was not respecting her) She could've told me or fixed the schedule yesterday when we messaged her.  Instead, she was giving me lecture about how I should respect her, giving me excuses how she handles everything, there's no receptionist, her online scheduling system doesn't really work, everything is on her shoulder and blah blah. So I told her could you make the appointment right now in your system while I'm here since your online reservation does not work properly? I had to repeat that multiple times remind her that I would like to make an appointment while I'm at the salon because she went on and on lecturing me about how I should talk to her.  You know what Tiffany? Maybe you should look into your customer services and reflect how you can improve your service so you don't have to deal with 'angry' customer and learn how approach an upset client instead of giving lecture, have a better respond for mistakes that made on your end. Honestly, I don't remember using any foul language to talk any way that might disrespect her in anyways. I just got my first manicure here today and I loved it! I got a gel manicure with Tiffany and I've never had someone take such good care of my nails (and me) when getting a manicure! I usually avoid manicures because I usually find them to be painful but not this one. Plus I love that they don't use harsh chemicals. The environment is really relaxing and I was offered water as soon as I walked in. The chair was comfy (not one of those traditional massage chairs but a nice cushioned one) and they had a tablet so I could watch Netflix while getting my nails done. Oh, my goodness. All of the previous reviews have been spot on. You've got to hit up this place when in Philadelphia - you will receive the best pedicure you've ever had. Not kidding.I booked online and secured a spot for an herbal pedicure. It sounded nice and for the $45 price tag, it was a reasonable service that would provide me with a little down-time and TLC during my busy convention schedule. It's a well known fact that we Nurse Practitioners need to indulge in more opportunities for self-care - this seemingly small service fit the bill for me.I was greeted by the lovely Tiffany and was given a complete run down of what to expect during my visit. She offered me a tutorial in the iPad that was there at my seat/station (didn't need it, though - nice touch for those who choose to engage in an online experience) and then got me a bottled water before my treatment began. Said treatment, my friends, was beyond anything I have EVER experienced. Let me tell you about it...Things are simple here. There are no massage chairs - instead, you'll be seated in one of two cushioned, wood framed chairs that are quite comfy, actually. There are no jetted foot tubs - instead, there is a plain reservoir that will be lined with plastic and filled for your soaking pleasure. As said reservoir was filling, a lovely older woman came in with a steaming pitcher of dark liquid with vegetation in it. Hmmm...what is this concoction? Well, it's a hot mix of an antioxidant preparation accentuated with lemongrass, cinnamon, and various cleansing herbs that have antimicrobial and antifungal properties. Setting your feet into this glorious mixture is satisfying, soothing, and positively delightful! After several minutes soaking, the next step begins...There will be a tray presented consisting of two small pots of substances (stay tuned for the contents of the pots) and a square, glass dish with an indentation in the center (presently empty) with a fan brush on the side. Hmm... I'm intrigued.  Tiffany scooped up some of the light brown substance and massaged it into each leg (then placed Saran Wrap over each leg to hold in the heat). It was a ginger mixture, and is one that would warm my legs from knee to ankle. Yes, it sure did. As my legs were warming, Tiffany did the initial pedicure process (noting that my nails were already short - she went on to further file and shape them) and allowed each foot to continue to soak in the lovely herbal bath.Next, the plastic was removed and the content of the other pot were rubbed into each leg. Boys and girls, this part was just incredible, for the magic pot contained a eucalyptus scrub that was massaged well into each leg. Positively heavenly. To cleanse the area, a hot towel was introduced - both legs were then clean. Until...Tiffany stepped away momentarily to fill that aforementioned empty square dish with a Thai oil mixture that had been warmed perfectly. Said oil had cleansing properties and was applied onto my legs with the aforementioned fan-shaped brush. Then, oh, goodness...the leg and foot massage ensued. I believe my eyes rolled back into my head a couple of times - just heavenly.After the oil massage, there was a hot stone massage. No, I'm not kidding. Those stones were the perfect end to my spa indulgence - they were applied and massaged into my legs and then my feet. Heaven is here! What a lovely touch, and entree into my nail care...I chose the color "Sasha" because it was a lovely red, and because our cute Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix holds the name of Sasha :). The two coats were perfectly applied - 2 coats of base preceded, and two coats of top followed said application. My nails were beautiful and one week after the fact, my nails STILL look like they were just done. Incredible.One hour and over 15 minutes later, I was ready to pay for this service. Again, my friends, $45 is a steal for this type of indulgence. My tip was generous...so much that it caused Tiffany to track me down up the street (as I was looking at shoes through a store window) and ask me if I had made an error. No, dear soul - no error, just a sincere thank you for expert work and true sincerity. She's worth it, y'all - treat this lovely lady well.What an incredible and relaxing experience this was! I cannot recommend this place enough to all who want to be pampered in a sweet environment and feel much like a wobbly-legged princess upon departure. I was in need of some massive self love and care this past Sunday. The man was out getting his golf on, our house is in chaos with the move, and I needed some serenity. I searched out Yelp as I do for nail salon that specialized in natural organic treatments. This little gem on 10th street gazed back and me and I contacted store owner for first appt. What an experience. The salon is small and comforting. You really get the true one on one spa experience. Since I found this salon via Yelp I checked in and received an amazing offer: Gel manicure and pedicure for $45!! I was treated to the royal treatment by store owner Tiffany and her assistant. My feet haven't been touched since last summer and they were in need of some serious exfoliating and care.Her assistant too excellent care, the water was the perfect temperature, they cover the basin with fresh plastic like covering to protect you from any of natures elements & they let you go about your way as they service you. Plenty of Gel and regular non-toxic paint to choose from. What excites me most is to see how much the business owner prides herself in her business. Amazing customer service--I tried to walk in on Friday, they were booked, so I made an appt online for Sunday and even though somehow the online system double-booked me for Sunday, they found time for me. Clean, bright, calm music, great selection of entertainment (very cool to watch Netflix while getting a pedicure!), with comfy chairs, tasty tea, and incredibly kind and friendly staff. I decided to try this place out after reading reviews, and it turned out great! I got a pedicure and it was the best one I've ever had. The employee (not Tiffany, but I can't remember her name unfortunately) was very thorough yet gentle. I was skeptical about the nail polish (I love OPI) however I've had it on for about 3 weeks now and it still looks great!I was worried going into it that it would be an awkward atmosphere because of how small it is (two pedi chairs only), however it was quite the opposite! While in town to visit Paisley Park I wanted my nails done in purple, of course! After researching area nail salons I went with this one because of the mostly good reviews. I go in and I pick out a very pretty shade of purple which was a set where you use regular polish on your toes and gel on your fingernails. I had a guy do my pedi and he did a decent job. While he was doing my pedi I opened the gel bottle and it was thick and gummy. When he was done he sent me over to one ...of the girls. She opened the gel and said maybe I should pick out a different color, so I did. Needless to say I had two different colors of purple. Once she was done, my nails didn't look too bad. I paid, tipped them each $10.00 and headed home. Later that day, I got a chip in my thumb nail and after doing dishes and taking a shower, the gel appeared to be shrinking. I've been getting my nails done with gel for quite a while and they are not supposed to chip or shrink. Total I paid $75.00 for a bad manicure. I live in Baltimore, but I was in the area and decided to come in with my boyfriend for some R&R. I got a gel manicure and pedicure, and he stuck with just a pedicure. I have never had such an amazing experience at a nail salon in my life! Not only were the ladies extremely respectful and accommodating, but the vibe of the nail salon was quiet and relaxing. It is a tiny space with only two pedicure stations and a small manicure station, but that ensures that you'll probably be the only one receiving services when you're in the salon. Everything was meticulously done with absolutely no rushing, and the foot and hand massages nearly put me to sleep. After reading the glowing reviews of this place, I decided to give it a go before heading out of state for a mini vacation. I made a Sunday afternoon appointment and enjoyed every minute of my incredibly relaxing gel manicure experience.The spa is very small- only 2 stations. Don't let that fool you or be a turn off though. You'll open the door to a calming and comforting minty scent and will be greeted with with a smile by the friendliest women you'll ever want to meet. My manicurist helped me get comfortable and settled with some water after helping me pick a color for my nails. The polish selection isn't massive, but I found it to be more than adequate. Additionally, it's worth noting that the polish was all high quality and solid brands. None of that clumping mess that you often find in Center City salons. I didn't indulge in them, but the stations also had tablets available with Hulu and Netflix cued up.All in all, I left incredibly pleased with my experience and even more pleased with the state of my nails almost 4 days later. I've tried pretty much every nail place in downtown Philadelphia, and since opening this is far and away the best. Tiffany is the nicest, most accommodating owner and professional. She has created a wonderful atmosphere that is relaxing, inclusive, and does amazing work. You can make appointments online or by text, she always has hot tea available, and a cool tablet for reading, watching movies or even changing the music! I love supporting Tiffany and this small business. I kid you not, the BEST mani pedi I've ever had in my life. You get a mini massage with the amazing service. Go. Just go. You get jasmine tea, can watch Netflix, get salt sugar scrub, lotion, and they do such a great job with detail in not just the polish, but the actual pedicure/manicure itself. I was once going to the same nail salon since 2010 and I had to get my nails done for an event and couldn't make it that way so I went to the closest salon on my lunch break which happened to be Exquisite nails.... best decision of my life! I have met so many great people at exquisite nails and they all know me by name as well. Lisa has been one of the main employees that typically does my nails, but have had my nails done by the rest of their staff... at least once each.... they take the time to get to know you on a personal level rather than just a walking paycheck through the door. They don't pressure me to do anything I don't want to do. I love how the manicure area is set up as more of a bar style and the whole facility is very clean! The technicians here are all excellent!! I've had acrylics and normally just gel manicures the gel seems to last way longer than any other salon that I've gone to! Great manicure, great people, awesome service. I stopped by today since it was their grand opening and they were offering free shellac manicures-- my favorite. I went in not expecting much, since the place was brand new and all of that, but I was completely blown away. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. I even got my manicure done on one of those spa chairs instead of at a table, and it was much more comfortable than usual. Tiffany, the girl who did my nails, explained how all of their products were meant to be gentle on nails, unlike the acetone people normally use. Also, during this whole process, I was offered food-- not just like a cracker or something, but a nice little piece of flan!
