I did not find this place comfortable or the staff friendly. Mid-way doing my nails staff stated they no longer felt like finishing so I waited a long time for someone else to take-over. I wanted to leave but at that point, I was halfway through my nails. I returned a second time in case it was a one time negative experience, but the atmosphere was similar. I wanted to love this place, as the staff were sweet and friendly. While the prices are up there compared to most salons, I thought it would come with quality given the area. My gel manicure came to $12 more ($35) than the listed price ($23) on the website and pamphlet, which I don't understand. My nail beds are actually much smaller than that average person. Like kids fingers practically. Not like they had to waste extra polish or time evening it. The manicure was also pretty uneven and thin in places, inconsistent at the cuticle, upon closer inspection. My friend got her toes done. The polish came completely off her pinkie toe in less than 48hrs (and it's still winter weather, she hasn't exposed her feet or done anything with them other than bathe and wear socks). Dollar store polish doesn't even come off that quickly so we were both pretty disappointed. Everyone in the place was offered wine except me for whatever reason, had I had wine I would have assumed that's why my manicure was potentially so expensive, like a hidden cost... But alas I had none so... The perks that MAY bring me back just to support a business are this is one of the only centrally located salons that does dip powder (never had it done but hear good things and if I decide to, this would be convenient, though I'm skeptical if something as simply as gel couldn't be executed well). They have a dog and it seems other people can bring small well behaved dogs as well. I'm a sucker for a place I can bring my little one. They serve wine... which is a nice touch. Could be nicer had I been offered any. They are queer friendly and employ queer people! Probably my favorite part. Everything is clean. No one is rushing you. You don't feel talked about. This place is basically my paradise. 1) It's open past 8pm. 2) The staff are super friendly and funny and awesome 3) I had wine (a few glasses) while having a pedicure.Just imagine having a exfoliating foot scrub and manicure simultaneously with a glass of wine in hand. I really hate to give this business one star because I had a okay first time experience but i can't stand behind unprofessionalism and unsanitary salons.My second time visiting and my nail technician cleaned the cuticle clipper in my pedicure water while my feet was soaking; fucking disgusting! The place was clean, the staff were friendly. My SNS manicure was TWENTY dollars more expensive than at my usual place at $55. I only stopped here because I had a nail emergency hours before a trip and they were the only place open at 8:30pm. I have had at least 20 SNS manicures in the past two years I have been getting them, and this is probably the worst (and the most expensive). They gave me a different shape than what I had asked for, there are sections of the nails that are missing top coat, she put something on my nails that my regular salon doesn't use (which smelled suspiciously like superglue...), and didn't even file/shape them when done with the powder process. I went once prior and had a great experience. This time was much different. I went for a pedi on a busy day. The woman doing my toes cut my cuticles so much that 7 of my toes were bleeding. When it came down to scrubbing my feet, she dropped the scrub brush on the floor, picked it up, and tried to continue using it on my feet until I asked her to stop. Because it was busy and she was clearly in a hurry, I received a sloppy, uneven polish job on my toes. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to go! Read Less

I love coming here because the people are so nice, but it's an absolutely filthy salon. I hate giving bad reviews but when you're getting a mani or pedi and paying Center City prices for these services, I want to know that everything is sterilized and clean.Also, please get some new and fresh nail polish...crusty, dried out nail polish options are not appealing! I had a couple unfortunate run-ins when it came to finding a salon on a Monday night approx 7:15pm; so i was fed up by the time I found Lotus. I decided to call to see if they were really open until 10pm and no lie--open until 10pm. I arrived around 8pm and they welcomed me in a friendly manner and got to me as soon as they could. I had to try this nail salon out since it's literally 50 feet from my house, so the location is stellar! The staff are always friendly and welcoming when you come into the door.The space is very clean and modern, wall to wall white with floor to ceiling windows.  (This makes for fantastic people watching!)  You will be offered, water, wine or tea during the treatment which is a nice and relaxing touch. The salon is pet friendly, so you could bring your pooch in if you want. There are usually three pups in here- Princeton, Duke and one other I can't remember her name- which can make it a little hectic when they see other dogs walking down the street- but I love when they come and plop down on your lap for a visit!I do wish that they had a larger selection of Essie colors, but I have my own stash and bring my bottles in so it's not an issue for me, but I had forgot my bottle once and had to find a color and they didn't have the usual suspects- I also miss my massage while my nails are drying, but its a good trade in for having such a great mani/pedi experience.I like that it is open until 10pm, so I could potentially put the kids down and run over and grab a quick mani-  that is if I wasn't on a toddler sleep schedule...
